This paper investigates the fully distributed fuzzy secure consensus control problem for stochastic nonlinear multi-agent systems (MASs). A polynomial fuzzy model is applied to reconstruct the system dynamics for a class of nonlinear MASs described by the I t o ˆ differential equation. The asynchronous denial-of-service (DoS) attack is considered that occurs independently across communication channels between the agents. Then, a novel fuzzy secure control protocol is developed to achieve the consensus task and resist the effect of the DoS attack. Meanwhile, the control protocol is fully distributed without relying on the global information of the Laplace matrix, and its adaptive parameter is membership-function-dependent, which is more flexible. Then, a non-parallel distributed compensation method is used to deal with the mismatch problem of the membership function between the fuzzy control protocol and the fuzzy system. In addition, several mean-square bounded convergence criteria in the form of the sum-of-squares for the secure tracking error are obtained by constructing the piecewise Lyapunov functions. Finally, the feasibility of the theoretical results is verified by the simulation example and the comparative analysis.

In this paper we focus on the sensor scheduling for dynamic state estimation among multiple processes. Multiple sensors transmit their measurements to the remote estimator via a shared wireless channel. Only a subset of sensors are allowed to transmit at each time. The objective of the scheduler is to maximize a linear combination of the terminal time estimation error covariances in a log-determinant sense. We develop conditions under which the objective is monotone and submodular. A submodularity-based greedy scheduling algorithm is proposed, and its performance bound is provided. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the theoretical findings.

This article studies a leader-following formation control problem, in which the agent model is governed by continuous-time nonlinear differential equations. We are interested in designing a distributed control algorithm which is capable of handling the strong nonlinearities induced by the unmanned aerial vehicle model. Our primary objective is to investigate the convergence of the corresponding closed-loop system, and to understand how the nonlinear dynamics and the network topologies may impose intrinsic barriers on formation control. The results show that an exponential convergence is guaranteed under the proposed algorithm via the composite Laplacian quadratics function as long as the network topology has a directed spanning tree. © 2020 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

In this paper, a model-free data-driven prescribedtime-performance (DDPTP) algorithm is developed for the underactuated autonomous surface vehicle (ASV). By defining a leader to provide the dynamic reference signal, the proposed DDPTP algorithm can achieve high-precision target tracking tasks while ensuring collision avoidance and connectivity between the leader and follower. A prescribed-time-performance function (PTPF) is designed for the ASV, featuring an adaptive shape and customizable convergence time. By using both real-time and historical data, a data-driven neural predictor (DDNP) is developed to estimate system uncertainties including unmodeled dynamics, unknown environmental disturbances and unknown input gains. An adaptive control law is employed based on the knowledge obtained from the DDNP, without relying on prior information about the motion model parameters. A switching dynamic event-triggered mechanism (SDETM) is introduced, which can switch between fixed-threshold triggering mechanism and dynamic event-triggered mechanism (DETM). Through this SDETM, not only are communication resources conserved, but frequent updates of the control signal are also mitigated. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is validated through verification simulations. © 1967-2012 IEEE.

The structure of modern industrial processes has been gradually complicated to adapt to diversified production requirements. process variables generally have temporal characteristics. Meanwhile, complex spatial interactions between variables also pose challenges for process modeling. In this study, a parallel temporal and spatial feature extraction framework is proposed and applied to fault detection and isolation in industrial processes. On the one hand, unlike the existing methods with mixed spatiotemporal information, we design independent temporal and spatial modeling structures. The temporal characteristics of each process variable are simultaneously extracted in the designed temporal submodule. Furthermore, the spatial connections between variables are captured through sparse adjacency network extraction and information fusion. In this way, the temporal and spatial information can be individually observed to provide interpretable monitoring results. On the other hand, considering the different spatiotemporal anomalies caused by various fault types, we establish a targeted isolation strategy to provide reliable fault analysis. For temporal faults, the reconstruction error indicators are designed to quantify the abnormality of the variable. Moreover, a network reconstruction model is developed to measure the spatial structure deviation and locate the fault source. The performance of the proposed method is verified through a real industrial example.

Optimizing the curvature shape of shoe last is an important research content and a promising direction in current shoe-last design. The emergence of plantar pressure imaging method provided a new technical mean for shoe-last design. The point-cloud dataset was acquired from the plantar pressure experiments which may be used for generating comfort shoe-last curvature, and the key zones on last curvature may be classified and has potential benefit to the designers to produce comfort shoe. In this paper ensemble learning technologies are applied for classifying those points through the proposed weights-updated algorithms. The proposed weights-updated algorithm with boosting operation performed high effectiveness by comparing to k-NN, random forest (RF) and Bayers (NB) in classification accuracy. The proposed boosting based ensemble learning method will be potential applied in interactive design of industry and be beneficial to produce comfort shoes.

Passive mechanical realizations of bicubic impedances with no more than five elements for inerter-based control design

This paper mainly investigates the passive realization problems of bicubic (third-order) impedances as damper-spring-inerter networks consisting of no more than five elements. First, the special case where a bicubic impedance contains a pole or a zero on the imaginary axis or at infinity is discussed. Then, assuming that there is no pole or zero on the imaginary axis or at infinity, the realizations of bicubic impedances as five-element networks are investigated. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the realizability as five-element series-parallel networks and as five-element non-series-parallel networks are derived, respectively, where 22 series-parallel configurations and 11 non-series-parallel configurations are presented to cover the conditions. Finally, two numerical examples together with positive-real controller designs for a quarter-car suspension system are presented for illustrations. The results of this paper can contribute to the synthesis of low-complexity passive mechanical (or electrical) networks, which are motivated by the synthesis and design of inerter-based vibration control systems. Intelligent decision-making of shield tunneling machine using deep reinforcement learning in complex geological environment

To reduce constructional hazards of manual operation, the implementation an intelligent decision-making of the shield machine will be an inevitable development trend in the future. Hence, this paper suggests an intelligent decision-making approach using the Twin Delayed Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (TD3) agent, which is constructed under the Actor-Critic framework. A robust nonlinear correlation exists between sealed cabin pressure and tunneling parameters. Therefore, a deep reinforcement learning (DRL) training environment is established using the sealed cabin pressure mechanism model. TD3 agent is trained by exploring empirical data obtained from continuous interactions between TD3 agent and the environment. Critic networks calculate the evaluation value of the action. TD3 selects the minimum evaluation value to avoid overestimating the parameters. Actor network adopts delayed updating parameters to make control process more stable and accurate. Based on earth theory model, target pressure values under different earth conditions are calculated. An appropriate reward function is established based on the target pressure for current soil conditions. TD3 agent dynamically adjusts the propulsion speed and screw conveyor speed in real-time according to geological environment to achieve intelligent control of the sealed cabin earth pressure. The experimental results show that the decision-making error of this method is 0 Megapascal (MPa), and it better adapts to random soil variations and can complete nearly a hundred different soil transition tasks in complex environments. This study promotes technological advancements in tunnel engineering by introducing artificial intelligence (AI) technology into tunnel construction field, realizing deep integration of AI technology and civil engineering. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd

A T-S model-dependent robust asynchronous fuzzy predictive fault-tolerant tracking control scheme is developed for nonlinear multiphase batch processes with time-varying tracking trajectories and actuator faults. Firstly, considering the influence of the mismatch between the previous phase state and the current phase controller during the switching, a T-S fuzzy switching model including the match and mismatch case is established. Depending on the fuzzy switching model, a robust fuzzy predictive fault-tolerant tracking controller is designed by considering the situation whether the model rules correspond to the controller rules. Secondly, using the related theories and methods, the system stability conditions presented by the linear matrix inequality considering the above conditions are provided to guarantee the stability of the system. By solving these stability conditions, the T-S fuzzy control law gain of each phase, the minimum running time of each match case and the maximum running time of each mismatch case are obtained. Then, through the maximum running time, the strategy of the switching signal in advance is adopted to avoid the occurrence of asynchronous switching, so as to ensure that the system can operate stably. Finally, the simulation results verify that the designed controller is effective and feasible. © 2021, CC BY.
