In this paper, a new on-line soft sensing method is proposed for component concentrations of sodium aluminate solution. With this sensing strategy, real-time control and optimization can be realized in aluminate production plants. Several advance techniques are used, such as PLS (Partial Least Squares), Hammerstein model, recurrent neural networks and least square algorithm. Industrial experiment results show that the proposed soft sensing algorithm is effective.

The study of bubble motion in water is a basic subject in gas‐liquid two‐phase flow research. A suit of visualized experimental device was designed and set up. Bubble rising in stagnant liquid in a vertical translucent rectangular tank was studied using the high‐speed video system combined with digital image process methods. Several bubble parameters were calculated base on the processed images. Bubble track, bubble velocity curve and accelerating curve have been plotted at different working situation. The movement of bubble rising in water was observed. And the dynamics of bubble were summarized with experimental analyzing. Both gas orifice diameter and bubble detachment are mainly influencing factor for bubble size and bubble dynamics.

This paper deals with the controller design problem for Markovian jump systems subject to partial unknown transition probabilities and actuator saturation. Different from the previous results where complete knowledge on the transition probabilities is available, a new controller synthesis scheme is proposed as well as an estimate of the domain of attraction in mean square sense. A sufficient condition is first established to guarantee the stochastic stability of the closed-loop system. An optimization problem with LMI constraints is then formulated to determine the largest contractively invariant set in mean square sense. Finally, a numerical example is provided to show the effectiveness of our method.
