＜正＞Researches indicate that the gray-scale images mapped from most nature objects accord to the fractal Brown stochastic field which foundation is self-similarity,an image is self-similarity means the image is made up of copies of itself in a reduced *** fractal dimension can quantificational depict the fractal character and the property of an image. Therefore,a new method based-on fractal dimension to fuse mid-wave infrared images and long-wave infrared images is presented in the ***,images are decomposed into different scale using wavelet ***,the fractal dimensions of sub-images of original images are computed,and then take them as weight to fuse sub-images at the same level according to different ***,reconstruct the fused images by wavelet inverse *** experimental results imply that the method can effectively preserve the information of source images with a high contrast and may be very practical.

Augmented reality is the merging of synthetic sensory information into a user's perception of a real environment. As one of the most important tasks in augmented scene modeling, terrain simplification research has gained more and more attention. In this paper, we mainly focus on point selection problem in terrain simplification using triangulated irregular network. Based on the analysis and comparison of traditional importance measures for each input point, we put forward a new importance measure based on local entropy. The results demonstrate that the local entropy criterion has a better performance than any traditional methods. In addition, it can effectively conquer the 'short-sight' problem associated with the traditional methods.

This study addresses the complexities of orchestrating multi-target transportation tasks within multi-agent systems, constrained by load capacity. The primary objective is to engineer an advanced path planning framework that assures collision avoidance and optimal load distribution. Diverging from conventional single-path strategies, this research incorporates load factors and requires continuous dynamic multi-target point and path planning to ensure agents can efficiently navigate through a series of predetermined key points. To address this complex requirement, a two-stage multi-agent task allocation and path planning method is proposed. First, an initial solution is obtained using a suboptimal algorithm, followed by optimization iterations using the large neighborhood search algorithm to improve task allocation. In the second stage, an accelerated algorithm based on priority search is used to plan optimal paths for each agent in a predetermined order. The proposed algorithm's effectiveness is comprehensively evaluated through a series of experimental evaluations and comparisons with the commercial solver Gurobi within a limited time. The results show that the proposed method achieves optimality in both running time and minimum path cost while ensuring the load balance of agents. © 2024 IEEE.

Gravel image Segmentation in Noisy Background Based on Partial Entropy Method

Because of wide variation in gray levels and particle dimensions and the presence of many small gravel objects in the background, as well as corrupting the image by noise, it is difficult o segment gravel objects. In this paper, we develop a partial entropy method and succeed to realize gravel objects segmentation. We give entropy principles and fur calculation methods. Moreover, we use minimum entropy error automaticly to select a threshold to segment image. We introduce the filter method using mathematical morphology. The segment experiments are performed by using different window dimensions for a group of gravel image and demonstrates that this method has high segmentation rate and low noise sensitivity.

This paper proposes a fog weather data augmentation method for the unmanned surface vessels (USVs) via improved Generative Adversarial Network(GAN) model. First, a generator scheme for GAN is proposed with the guided generation of the atmospheric scattering model in this paper. A Laplacian Pyramid Based Depth Residuals model is added to the generator which reduces the difficulty of generating fog images caused by the degradation of water surface image and improves the quality of generated images. Finally, fog images are generated from sunny weather images collected with HUST-12C by LPBDR-GAN model and experiments show that generated images are very close to real fog images. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

The granular appearance of speckle noise in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery makes it very difficult to visually and automatically interpret SAR data. Therefore, speckle reduction is a prerequisite for many SAR image processing tasks. We develop a speckle reduction algorithm by fusing the wavelet denoising technique with support vector machine (SVM). Based on the least squares support vector machine (LS-SVM) with Gaussian radial basis function kernel, a new denoising operators used in the wavelet domain are obtained. Simulated SAR images and real SAR images are used to evaluate the denoising performance of our proposed algorithm along with another wavelet-based denoising algorithm, as well as the refined Lee speckle filter. Experimental results show that the that the proposed filter method outperforms standard wavelet denoising techniques in terms of the ratio images and the equivalent-number-of-looks measures in most cases. It also achieves better performance than the refined Lee filter.

The new generation of artificial intelligence(AI)research initiated by Chinese scholars conforms to the needs of a new information environment changes,and strives to advance traditional artificial intelligence(AI 1.0)to a new stage of AI *** one of the important components of AI,collective intelligence(CI 1.0),i.e.,swarm intelligence,is developing to the stage of CI 2.0(crowd intelligence).Through in-depth analysis and informative argumentation,it is found that an incompatibility exists between CI 1.0 and CI ***,CI 1.5 is introduced to build a bridge between the above two stages,which is based on biocollaborative behavioral *** 1.5 is the transition from CI 1.0 to CI 2.0,which contributes to the compatibility of the two ***,a new interpretation of the meta-synthesis of wisdom proposed by Qian Xuesen is *** meta-synthesis of wisdom,as an improvement of crowd intelligence,is an advanced stage of bionic intelligence,i.e.,CI *** is pointed out that the dual-wheel drive of large language models and big data with deep uncertainty is an evolutionary path from CI 2.0 to CI 3.0,and some elaboration is *** a result,we propose four development stages(CI 1.0,CI 1.5,CI 2.0,and CI 3.0),which form a complete framework for the development of *** different stages are progressively improved and have good *** to the dominant role of cooperation in the development stages of CI,three types of cooperation in CI are discussed:indirect regulatory cooperation in lower organisms,direct communicative cooperation in higher organisms,and shared intention based collaboration in *** division is the main form of achieving cooperation and,for this reason,this paper investigates the relationship between the complexity of behavior and types of labor ***,based on the overall understanding of the four development stages of CI,the future development direction and research issues of CI are explored.

In this paper, a fully circuit implementation of Memristive Neural Network (MNN) is proposed. The forward calculation of the network is based on winner-take-all (WTA) mechanism. The weight updating is achieved through the difference of pre-spike and post-spike, which is more close to the biological weight adjustment mechanism. The network is implemented in a full circuit without additional control units. The designed circuit consists of four modules. The memristive crossbar array module with one-memristor (1M) unit structure can effectively calculate the vector-matrix multiplication with only one step. The switch S is replaced by the transistor in the designed leaky-integrate-and-fire (LIF) module, which can control the integration and leakage of the membrane voltage and realize the lateral inhibition between output neurons. Connecting the integrated monostable trigger and the difference circuit, the post-spike generating module can output the required post-spike. The signal switch module realizes the switching of signals connected to memristors by using voltage-controlled switches. The combination of two modules validly realizes weight updating. The functions of four modules are verified separately. We performed a simulation experiment of 5×3 pixels image classification based on the designed circuit in PSPICE. The circuit output results and the high classification accuracy prove the circuit can be effectively applied in pattern recognition. The noise experiment shows the robustness of the designed circuit. © 2021 IEEE.

Based on statistical learning theory, support vector machine (SVM) is a novel type of learning machine, and it contains polynomial, neural network and radial basis function (RBF) as special cases. The mapped least squares support vector machine (MLS-SVM) is a special least square SVM (LS-SVM), which extends the application of the SVM to the image processing. Based on the MLS-SVM, a family of filters for the approximation of partial derivatives of the digital image surface is designed. Prior information (e.g., local dominant orientation) are incorporated in a two dimension weighted function. The weighted MLS-SVM with the radial basis function kernel is applied to design the proposed filters. Exemplary application of the proposed filters to fingerprint image segmentation is also presented.

Unit commitment (UC) is a central market clearing process in wholesale electricity markets. With the increasing size and complexity of market-clearing models, UC problems become more and more complicated. To improve the computation efficiency, this paper tightens UC formulations with the general start-up ramp rate. Through analyzing their parameters over three periods, units are categorized into several categories for constructing corresponding tight formulations, and three of the categories are beyond existing works. By applying a recent systematic formulation tightening approach on top of these categories, new tight constraints of the general start-up ramp rate have been obtained. Numeral testing results illustrate the tightening process and demonstrate the improvement of computational efficiency when using our tightened formulations. © 2021 IEEE.
