The charging performance of lithium-ion batteries is significantly affected by the polarization effect, which leads to increased resistance and prolonged charging time. this paper combines experimental testing with numerical simulation to qualitatively and quantitatively investigate the polarization effects under different charging conditions. The results indicate that the proportions of positive and negative polarization to cell polarization are comparable and basically constant with variations in the charging rate. The polarization voltages of different categories within the electrode are positively correlated with the charging rate. At high charging rates, electrochemical polarization accounts for the majority, followed by solid-phase and liquid-phase concentration polarization, while solid-phase and liquid-phase ohmic polarization is relatively negligible. On the other hand, the cell polarization exhibits a non-linear trend with temperature. The lower the temperature, the greater the proportion of negative polarization, while positive polarization is insensitive to temperature. At low temperature charging, the solid-phase concentration polarization of the negative electrode accounts for the majority of electrode polarization, which can be attributed to the larger lithium ion concentration gradient induced by the sluggish diffusion of ions in the active material. In-depth investigation of the polarization effect will provide guidance for achieving more efficient charging under different operating conditions. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Road damage detection is particularly essential for improving road traffic safety. Existing methods do not perform well due to complex road conditions and sparse features contained in road damage. Therefore, we propose a new road damage detection network - YPLNet, which could obtain more refined multi-scale contextual features. Specifically, the network proposed in this paper is based on YOLOv5, by adding the PSA module to the backbone network, the spatial information of the feature map at multi-scale is obtained to enrich the feature space, and the long-term information dependence between channels is further constructed. In addition, in the feature fusion stage, the LCFI module is utilized to obtain contextual features under the multi-scale receptive fields, and these contextual features include rich low-level and high-level information. Our proposed network achieves a Mean-F1 Score of 0.635 in the competition. The source code and model are publicly available at https://***/hehualin-tut/YPLNet

Speed Planning and Interpolation Algorithm of High-Speed Nurbs Curve Based on an Elliptical Arc Fitting

Taking advantage of the gradual change characteristic of the curvature of the conventional conic ellipse, this paper proposes a method of fitting a non-uniform rational basis spline (NURBS) curve with an elliptical arc and, thereafter, performing speed planning and interpolation of the elliptical arc itself. First, the method of elliptical arc fitting is introduced and then proven by simulation with comparative previous linear and arc fittings to obtain better fitting accuracy with fewer segments. Subsequently, the tangent vector of any point of an ellipse is used to complete the speed planning and interpolation of that ellipse. In terms of speed planning, the maximum acceleration of any point in the elliptical arc can be obtained by using a tangent vector, and the time speed curve in this work is completed based on this phenomenon. In the interpolation stage, the longest axis of the current point is determined by using the tangent vector of any point of the elliptical arc, according to which the pulse is sent, thereby completing the interpolation operation via this iterative cycle. This method unifies the processing model of the interpolation algorithm, the simplicity and efficiency of which is verified by subsequent simulation data. Non-contact physiological parameters detection has become an important but challenging task. This paper proposes a novel framework for Non-contact physiological parameters detection, which is based on MTCNN (Multi-task convolutional neural network) and EVM (Eulerian Video Magnification). The MTCNN is applied to compensate negative effects of the pseudo motion for improving the efficiency of face detection. The Laplacian pyramid of EVM is added to our framework to perform motion amplification to achieve simultaneous extraction of heart rate and respiration rate, which improves the accuracy of non-contact physiological parameter detection. Then we use FFT to analyze the relevant frequency bands in time domain and calculate the heart rate and breathing rate. In order to improve efficiency, GPU acceleration is implemented under the TensorRT framework. The experimental results based on data sets DUSS (detection under slight shaking) and DUO (detection under occlusion) show the effectiveness of this method. The average error of the heart rate and respiration rate are −0.1 and 0.6, respectively. Our method achieves comparable performance to finger clip oximeter with a good consistency, even in the case of wearing a mask. © 2021, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Based on experience of former teaching reformation and philosophy of "Emerging Engineering Education", an experimental teaching reformation program that includes restructured knowledge system, modularization of experimental teaching process and diversified evaluation system is proposed. It is found that students have deeper and comprehensive understanding on knowledge and more enthusiasm in experimental process. Finally students have definite self-cognition about their division of labor in teamwork. Through gathering statistics, the effectiveness of reformation program is verified and this program can enrich practical experience of experimental teaching reformation. © 2020 ACM.

The high-speed rolling machine is a key equipment in the automatic production line of automobile body-in-white welding. This article focuses on analyzing a method for accurately stopping the high-speed rolling machine using laser distance measurement. Firstly, through the analysis of the movement process, the calculation method of the length of each period in the 7-stage S-type acceleration and deceleration in the movement of the high-speed rolling machine is given;secondly, the system control theory model of the measurement and control system is established to analyze the dual-position closed-loop strategy The method of realizing the accurate stopping of the high-speed rolling machine;finally, the accurate stopping control method of the high-speed rolling machine proposed in this paper was verified by building an experimental system and developing the corresponding control program. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing. In order to feedback the cutting temperature in real time during the operation with the surgical robot, this study established a temperature prediction model to analyze the temperature distribution of the cortex. In this work, a three-dimensional governing equation for heat transfer of bone tissue during drilling is proposed, and the heat transfer of cortical bone is evaluated by a reverse heat transfer method. The prediction model was validated by experimental methods and the heat affected zone (HAZ) of cortical bone was analyzed. The results show that the prediction results are in good agreement with the relevant experimental results. HAZ increases with increasing rate of penetration;the closer the bone hole is, the earlier the temperature rises;and the temperature at which the cortical bone is difficult to measure (radial distance x © 2020 The Authors.

We study continuous variable coherence of phase-dependent squeezed state based on an extended Hanbury Brown-Twiss scheme. High-order coherence is continuously varied by adjusting squeezing parameter r, displacement α, and squeezing phase θ. We also analyze effects of background noise γ and detection efficiency η on the measurements. As the squeezing phase shifts from 0 to π, the photon statistics of the squeezed state continuously change from the anti-bunching (g(n) (n) > n!) which shows a transition from particle nature to wave nature. The experiment feasibility is also examined. It provides a practical method to generate phase-dependent squeezed states with high-order continuous-variable coherence by tuning squeezing phase θ. The controllable coherence source can be applied to sensitivity improvement in gravitational wave detection and quantum imaging. Copyright © 2021, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Transmission error (TE) has emerged as a reliable indicator for fault diagnosis. However, in harmonic reducers, the non-stationary nature of measured TE signals results in the coupling of fault information with various interference components, including manufacturing and assembly errors, thereby complicating fault feature identification. To address this issue, this paper first establishes a TE model that accounts for multiple error sources. Simulations of TE under fault conditions reveal that high-frequency components exhibit periodic peaks with distinct fault characteristics, rendering them effective as fault-sensitive features. Building upon the prior analysis, a comprehensive TE-based fault diagnosis framework for harmonic reducers is proposed, termed VMD-DRGAF-Swin Transformer. Initially, the VMD-DRGAF method is proposed for TE signal decomposition and fault feature fusion. This method extracts multi-modal fault-sensitive components and converts them into RGB images. Subsequently, the fused multi-modal images are input into a Swin Transformer-based diagnostic model for fault identification. Finally, an experimental TE signal dataset is collected to validate the diagnostic performance of the proposed method. The results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves higher diagnostic accuracy under various operating conditions, exhibiting strong generalization capabilities. Furthermore, ablation experiments confirm that the VMD-DRGAF method significantly enhances the fault recognition ability and robustness of the diagnostic model, outperforming traditional methods.
