BP-PID control Applied in Evaporator of Organic Rankine Cycle system

According to the problem that the selection of traditional PID control parameters is too complicated in evaporator of Organic Rankine Cycle system(ORC),an evaporator PID controller based on BP neural netw ork optimization is designed. Based on the control theory,the model of ORC evaporator is set up. The BP algorithm is used to control the Kp,Kiand Kdparameters of the evaporator PID controller,so that the evaporator temperature can reach the optimal state quickly and steadily. The M ATLAB softw are is used to simulate the traditional PID controller and the BP neural netw ork PID controller. The experimental results show that the Kp,Kiand Kdparameters of the BP neural netw ork PID controller are 0. 5677,0. 2970,and 0. 1353,***,the evaporator PID controller based on BP neural netw ork optimization not only satisfies the requirements of the system performance,but also has better control parameters than the traditional PID controller.

We achieve long-range and continuous optical pulling in a periodic photonic crystal background, which supports a unique Bloch mode with the self-collimation effect. Most interestingly, the pulling force reported here is mainly contributed by the intensity gradient force originating from the self-induced backaction of the object to the self-collimation mode. This force is sharply distinguished from the widely held conception of optical tractor beams based on the scattering force. Also, this pulling force is insensitive to the angle of incidence and can pull multiple objects simultaneously.

A temperature demodulation method by using compensation of fiber attenuation and dispersion for distributed temperature sensors (DTS) is proposed and demonstrated in order to improve the DTS measuring speed and accuracy. Firstly, the attenuation coefficients difference between anti-Stokes and Stokes backscattering is modified, which avoids the calibration processing on the entire sensing optical fiber and reduces system operation time. Secondly, dispersion shift algorithm is applied to correct the position of Stokes backscattering, and then the intensity of Stokes backscattering can be obtained at the same position with anti-Stokes backscattering, which eliminates the influence of optical fiber dispersion on temperature demodulation and improves the accuracy of temperature measurement. © 2017 IEEE.

Gas adsorption and accumulation on hydrophobic surfaces:Molecular dynamics simulations

Molecular dynamics simulations show that the gas dissolved in water can be adsorbed at a hydrophobic interface and accumulates thereon. Initially, a water depletion layer appears on the hydrophobic interface. Gas molecules then enter the depletion layer and form a high-density gas-enriched layer. Finally, the gas-enriched layer accumulates to form a nanobubble. The radian of the nanobubble increases with time until equilibrium is reached. The equilibrium state arises through a Brenner–Lohse dynamic equilibrium mechanism, whereby the diffusive outflux is compensated by an influx near the contact line. Additionally, supersaturated gas also accumulates unsteadily in bulk water, since it can diffuse back into the water and is gradually adsorbed by a solid substrate.

By the experiment modal research for unit structure, the natural frequency and mass of US by means of experimental modal analysis is explored. Experimental modal analysis on US was applied to achieve optimal US simultaneously to satisfy multiple conflicting performance requirements of mass and natural frequency of US. Then the structural parameters of US were optimized to increase natural frequencies and reduce mass. Experimental modal analysis is an efficient technique to accurately identify the dynamic behavior of a structure and provides modal parameters, such as natural frequencies and mode shapes.

In this paper, a model is constructed to investigate the mechanism induced quorum sensing (QS) by coexisting of small RNA and signal molecule. The QS network model regulated by small RNAs is studied. The condition of the stability of the QS network is considered by using Routh-Hurwitz stability criterion. The conditions for the existence of Hopf bifurcation are obtained. Then, a linear feedback control is designed to make the system asymptotically stable. The numerical simulation is used to verify the results of theoretical analysis.

Metal magnetic memory (3M), which is used to evaluate the stress concentration and fatigue damage of ferromagnetic materials, belongs to a weak magnetic detection. When 3M technology is used to detect working steel rope, the detected signal contains lots of interfering signals to distort real signal. To improve signal to noise ratio (SNR), ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD) is used to denoise the original signal. A new method of confirming white noise standard deviation (WNSD) added to EEMD has been proposed, which has a higher accuracy. Besides, a self-adaptive method of selecting intrinsic mode functions (IMFs) has been proposed. The method is used to denoise magnetic memory signal of steel rope metal and the result is better than other common denoising methods. After denoising the tested signal of steel rope, the broken wires field of the rope can be recognised by the normal component of 3M crossing zero point. © 2016 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.
