The main idea behind this work is to diagnose Grid-Connected Photovoltaic (PV) systems. The uncertainty was treated by using the interval-valued data representation. The main interventions are threefold: first, interval ensemble techniques based on the combination of several models (SVM, KNN, and tree) into one improved model are proposed in order to isolate the different PV systems operating modes using interval raw data. Then, feature extraction and selection steps are proposed to improve the fault diagnosis results. Therefore, the interval KPCA (IKPCA) method is performed in order to extract and select the important characteristics. The proposed techniques were used to diagnose the GCPV system under different operating modes. The results demonstrated the superiority of the proposed methods. © 2022 IEEE.

MRD codes are maximum codes in the rank-distance metric space on m-by-n matrices over the finite field of order q. They are diameter perfect and have the cardinality qm(n-d+1) if m ≥ n. We define switching in MRD codes as replacing special MRD subcodes by other subcodes with the same parameters. We consider constructions of MRD codes admitting such switching, including punctured twisted Gabidulin codes and direct-product codes. Using switching, we construct a huge class of MRD codes whose cardinality grows doubly exponentially in m if the other parameters (n, q, the code distance) are fixed. In this paper, we propose an alternated inertial general splitting method with linearization for a split feasibility problem. Four rules of inertial parameters and relaxation parameters are discussed, where the adaptive inertial parameters are firstly investigated. The convergence of the proposed method is established under standard conditions. The numerical examples are presented to test four choices of the parameters and illustrate the advantage of our methods. An application in signal processing is presented to illustrate the recovery of the proposed algorithm for the sparse signal.

Advancements in quantum computing underscore the critical need for sophisticated qubit readout techniques to accurately discern quantum states. This abstract presents our research intended for optimizing readout pulse fidelity for 2D and 3D Quantum processing Units (QPUs), the latter coupled with Superconducting Radio Frequency (SRF) cavities. Focusing specifically on the application of the Least Mean Squares (LMS) adaptive filtering algorithm, we explore its integration into the FPGA-based control systems to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of qubit state detection by improving signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR). Implementing the LMS algorithm on the Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC Gen 3 devices (RFSoC 4x2 FPGA and ZCU216 FPGA) using the Quantum Instrumentation Control Kit (QICK) open-source platform, we aim to dynamically test and adjust the filtering parameters in real-time to characterize and adapt to the noise profile presented in quantum computing readout signals. Our preliminary results demonstrate the LMS filter's capability to maintain high readout accuracy while efficiently managing FPGA resources. These findings are expected to contribute to developing more reliable and scalable quantum computing architectures, highlighting the pivotal role of adaptive signal processing in quantum technology advancements.

Pairwise metrics are often employed to estimate statistical dependencies between brain regions, however they do not capture higher-order information interactions. It is critical to explore higher-order interactions that go beyond paired brain areas in order to better understand information processing in the human brain. To address this problem, we applied multivariate mutual information, specifically, Total Correlation and Dual Total Correlation to reveal higher-order information in the brain. In this paper, we estimate these metrics using matrix-based Rényi ’ s entropy, which offers a direct and easily interpretable approach that is not limited by direct assumptions about probability distribution functions of multivariate time series. We applied these metrics to resting-state fMRI data in order to examine higher-order interactions in the brain. Our results showed that the higher-order information interactions captured increase gradually as the interaction order increases. Furthermore, we observed a gradual increase in the correlation between the Total Correlation and Dual Total Correlation as the interaction order increased. In addition, the significance of Dual Total Correlation values compared to Total Correlation values also indicate that the human brain exhibits synergy dominance during the resting state.

In this paper, we consider a new kind of evolution multivalued quasi-variational inequalities with feedback effect and a nonlinear bifunction which contain several (evolution) quasi-variational/hemivariational inequalities as special cases. The main contribution of this paper is twofold. The first goal is to establish a novel framework for proving the existence of solutions and the compactness of solution set to the evolution multivalued quasi-variational inequalities, under quite mild assumptions. Whereas, the second contribution is to introduce and study a nonlinear and nonsmooth optimal control problem governed by an evolution multivalued quasi-variational inequality, and then to obtain the sufficient conditions for guaranteeing the solvability of the nonlinear and nonsmooth optimal control problem under consideration. Such nonlinear and nonsmooth optimal control problem could as a useful model to explore the simultaneous distributed-boundary optimal control problems driven by evolution multivalued quasi-variational inequalities, and optimal parameters identification for evolution multivalued quasi-variational inequalities. Inspired by the fact that the matrix formulated by nonlocal similar patches in a natural image is of low rank, the rank approximation issue have been extensively investigated over the past decades, among which weighted nuclear norm minimization (WNNM) and weighted Schatten p-norm minimization (WSNM) are two prevailing methods have shown great superiority in various image restoration (IR) problems. Due to the physical characteristic of color images, color image restoration (CIR) is often a much more difficult task than its grayscale image counterpart. However, when applied to CIR, the traditional WNNM/WSNM method only processes three color channels individually and fails to consider their cross-channel correlations. Very recently, a quaternion-based WNNM approach (QWNNM) has been developed to mitigate this issue, which is capable of representing the color image as a whole in the quaternion domain and preserving the inherent correlation among the three color channels. Despite its empirical success, unfortunately, the convergence behavior of QWNNM has not been strictly studied yet. In this paper, on the one side, we extend the WSNM into quaternion domain and correspondingly propose a novel quaternion-based WSNM model (QWSNM) for tackling the CIR problems. Extensive experiments on two representative CIR tasks, including color image denoising and deblurring, demonstrate that the proposed QWSNM method performs favorably against many state-of-the-art alternatives, in both quantitative and qualitative evaluations. On the other side, more importantly, we preliminarily provide a theoretical convergence analysis, that is, by modifying the quaternion alternating direction method of multipliers (QADMM) through a simple continuation strategy, we theoretically prove that both the solution sequences generated by the QWNNM and QWSNM have fixed-point convergence guarantees. In this paper we introduce a reconciliation protocol with a two-step error correction scheme using a short blocklength low rate code and a long blocklength high rate code. We show that by using this two-step decoding method it is possible to achieve secret key rates beyond the Devetak-Winter bound. We simulate the protocol using short blocklength low-density parity check code, and show that we can obtain reconciliation efficiencies up to 1.5. Using these high reconciliation efficiencies, it is possible double the achievable distances of CV-QKD systems. © 2024, CC BY.

In the 21st century, the wireless technology is still developing rapidly and trying to be ‘Faster, Higher, and Stronger’: faster data rate, higher bandwidth and stronger connectivity. Wireless Mesh Networks (WMN) have been envisioned as an important solution to the next generation wireless networking which can be used in wireless community networks, wireless enterprise networks, transportation systems, home networking and last-mile wireless internet access. They also provide a cheap, quick and effective way for building wireless data networks. Considering the nature of these networks, routing is a key process for operating the WMN. This paper proposes a new way of creating multi-path routing protocols based on a fusion between multicast and unicast routing protocols to get different routes (node-disjoint or link-disjoint) from the source to its destination. The simulation results using Network Simulator 2 (NS-2) show that our new Multi-path Routing Protocol (Fusion) outperforms Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV) and Ad hoc On-demand Multi-path Distance Vector (AOMDV) routing protocols in terms of average network throughput, end-to-end delay, and number of flows.
