Complex lighting is one of the most challenging problems in automatic guided vehicle (AGV) vision recognition system. In order to overcome the influence of uneven illumination on the accuracy and robustness of path recognition, this paper proposes the LCS based visual recognition for AGV guide paths under complex illumination conditions method, which converts the collected image into an invariant image through logarithmic chromaticity space (LCS) to eliminate the influence of illumination, and the minimum average entropy angle is used as the projection angle to generate the invariant image to improve the speed of image conversion to the invariant image. Experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively improve the robustness of AGV vision recognition system under complex lighting conditions. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Anomaly detection in time series data (e.g., sensor data) is becoming a fundamental research problem that has various applications. Due to the complex inter-sensor relationships, it is challenging to detect anomalous events such as system faults and attacks hidden the high-dimensional time series. Recent advancements in deep learning approaches such as Graph Neural Networks (GNN) have greatly improved anomaly detection performance in time series data. However, existing methods do not learn the dependence relationships between sensors and groups of sensors and may not efficiently detect anomalous events in time series. In this paper, we propose a novel approach GGNN (short for Grouped Graph Neural Networks) that combines a structure learning approach with graph neural networks. In particular, GGNN learns the graph structure containing groups of sensors, which are represented by virtual nodes. In addition, we use the learned graph structure and attention weights to explain the detected anomalies. The experiments on three real world datasets show our superiority in detection accuracy, anomaly diagnosis, and model interpretation compared with state-of-the-art methods.

The production of remote sensing products needs to go through various links of evaluation and deploy a variety of software and hardware resources. It is necessary to study how to improve the efficiency of service cluster deployment, simplify the evaluation process, and optimize its structure. This paper designs an intelligent service cluster construction method based on remote sensing applications, which realizes the accurate and efficient deployment of various complex network structures and equipment on the visual interface. The method is convenient and simple to operate. It can set various types of resource information according to the needs of users, can choose a more reasonable server cluster deployment plan, improve the efficiency of data storage and processing of remote sensing products, better serve users, and greatly promote The development of related industries. © 2022 IEEE.

Towards Long-Horizon Vision-Language Navigation: Platform, Benchmark and Method

Existing Vision-Language Navigation (VLN) methods primarily focus on single-stage navigation, limiting their effectiveness in multi-stage and long-horizon tasks within complex and dynamic environments. To address these limitations, we propose a novel VLN task, named Long-Horizon Vision-Language Navigation (LH-VLN), which emphasizes long-term planning and decision consistency across consecutive subtasks. Furthermore, to support LH-VLN, we develop an automated data generation platform NavGen, which constructs datasets with complex task structures and improves data utility through a bidirectional, multi-granularity generation approach. To accurately evaluate complex tasks, we construct the Long-Horizon Planning and Reasoning in VLN (LHPR-VLN) benchmark consisting of 3,260 tasks with an average of 150 task steps, serving as the first dataset specifically designed for the long-horizon vision-language navigation task. Furthermore, we propose Independent Success Rate (ISR), Conditional Success Rate (CSR), and CSR weight by Ground Truth (CGT) metrics, to provide fine-grained assessments of task completion. To improve model adaptability in complex tasks, we propose a novel Multi-Granularity Dynamic Memory (MGDM) module that integrates short-term memory blurring with long-term memory retrieval to enable flexible navigation in dynamic environments. Our platform, benchmark and method supply LH-VLN with a robust data generation pipeline, comprehensive model evaluation dataset, reasonable metrics, and a novel VLN model, establishing a foundational framework for advancing LH-VLN. Federated learning (FL) is an emerging machine learning paradigm for preserving data privacy. However, diverse client hardware often has varying computation resources. Such system heterogeneity limits the participation of resource-constrained clients in FL, and hence degrades the global model accuracy. To enable heterogeneous clients to participate in and contribute to FL training, previous works tackle this problem by assigning customized sub-models to individual clients with model pruning, distillation, or low-rank based techniques. Unfortunately, the global model trained by these methods still encounters performance degradation due to heterogeneous sub-model aggregation. Besides, most methods are heuristic-based and lack convergence analysis. In this work, we propose the FedLMT framework to bridge the performance gap, by assigning clients with a homogeneous pre-factorized low-rank model to substantially reduce resource consumption without conducting heterogeneous aggregation. We theoretically prove that the convergence of the low-rank model can guarantee the convergence of the original full model. To further meet clients' personalized resource needs, we extend FedLMT to pFedLMT, by separating model parameters into common and custom ones. Finally, extensive experiments are conducted to verify our theoretical analysis and show that FedLMT and pFedLMT outperform other baselines with much less communication and computation costs. Multi depot school bus routing problem (MDSBRP) refers to the school bus routing problem (SBRP) with multiple depots, which effectively reduces the service cost by adjusting the order of school buses from depot to station. In this paper, a heuristic algorithm based on simulated annealing is proposed to solve the multi depot school bus routing problem. The problem considers the constraints of school time window and school bus capacity. Through the operation adjustment of depots and stations, the number and driving distance of school buses can be effectively reduced. The existing benchmark case set and modified test cases are used to test the algorithm. The experimental results show that the use of multi depot mode can effectively reduce the number of school buses and save operating costs, which shows the effectiveness of the algorithm. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. Sentiment analysis is an important and challenging task in the field of natural language processing. Researchers have used vocabulary-based methods and machine learning methods to conduct research on sentiment analysis tasks. In recent years, deep learning has achieved great success in the field of sentiment analysis. However, for complex textual data, using a single model is often insufficient. Inspired by deep learning models, in this study, we proposed a hybrid model using BiLSTM and attention mechanism, called BiLSTM-ATT model, to solve the problem of sentiment analysis. First, we adopted the GloVe method to train the initialized word embeddings. GloVe converts textual information into word vectors, which can calculate the distance between words. Next, we used a convolutional neural network that can extract local features, and a BiLSTM that can extract long-range semantic features of text with bidirectional extraction of long-term dependencies. Finally, the attention mechanism was used to improve the performance of the model by calculating the weight of the data. Experimental results demonstrate that our proposed hybrid BiLSTM-ATT model outperforms traditional deep learning methods in Accuracy, Recall, and Fl-Score. Our method was compared with deep learning methods on the IMDB movie review dataset. © 2022 IEEE.

A Lightweight Aerial Image Object Detector Based on Mask Information Enhancement

Object detection in UAV imagery is highly valuable in both military and civilian domains. However, deploying conventional detectors is challenging due to limited computing resources on UAV platforms. Additionally, UAV images often contain densely arranged objects, demanding higher accuracy from detectors. In response to these challenges, we proposed the lightweight aerial object detection method based on mask feature enhancement, named BFDet. First, to enhance the feature extraction capability of the model under limited parameters, we designed the Balanced Channel Attention Layer (BCA Layer). The BCA Layer improves the extraction of high-quality channel information during feature processing. Second, to enhance model performance while minimizing parameters, we designed a feature extraction network utilizing the Efficient Feature Extraction Module (EFEM) and the Downsampling Module (DM) as its backbone. This design reduces the number of parameters while improving the extraction of discriminative features. Third, to enrich the semantic information of features, we proposed a Progressive Space Pyramid Pooling (PSPP) module, obtaining features with rich semantic information to enhance model performance. Finally, to tackle the challenge of detecting densely packed objects, we proposed a Mask Information Enhancement Module (MIEM) to obtain the fine-grained features, enhancing the model's discriminative ability in dense scenes. The proposed BFDet underwent extensive experimentation on both the Vis-Drone and UAVDT datasets. The mAP0.5 and FPS values of BFDet reach 51.4% and 33 respectively on the VisDrone dataset, and the parameter number is only 5.6M. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

Distracted driving causes many accidents every year, most of which can be avoided with automatic recognition. As a result, vision-based driver action recognition is receiving increasing research attention. In a limited in-vehicle space, actions can be very ambiguous from an individual view. Therefore exploring efficient multi-view action recognition architecture is meaningful. This study aims to detect the distraction of drivers while identifying the cause. A novel driver action recognition architecture named multi-view vision transformer (MVVT) is proposed, which combines classical convolutional neural networks (CNNs) with vision transformer. Self-attention mechanism is utilized to dynamically aggregate temporal information and fuse features of different views jointly. Experiments demonstrate that MVVT can effectively recognize drivers’ behaviors with multi-view input. A promising result of 84.9% accuracy is achieved on a large public driver action dataset. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Cryptocurrency phishing scams is a significant treat to Ethereum, one of the most popular blockchain platforms. Most of existing Ethereum phishing detection methods are based on traditional machine learning or graph representation learning, which mostly rely on only statistical and structural features in local scope. In this paper, we propose Multi-transaction-view Graph Attention Network (MTvGAT), a novel phishing scam detection model that can make use of transaction patterns of different scopes. To obtain global-view information, we apply graph clustering and construct the global-view graph with multiple clusters, including all the nodes of the original transaction network. To obtain local view information, we apply neighborhood sampling, and construct local-view graphs with target nodes and their neighborhood nodes. Then, node features, edge features, and attention coefficients are aggregated to merge multi-view information into representation of nodes. We further combine global-view and local-view representations to finally identify phishing addresses from target nodes. Extensive experiments demonstrate that the proposed method can outperform existing ones with significant improvement. © 2023 IEEE.
