Due to the influence of global warming, extreme wind weather occurs frequently, especially in extreme weather such as typhoons and cold waves, problems such as wind turbine shutdown, cutting out, and sudden changes in power generation power will occur, which brings great challenges to wind power forecast and safe and stable operation of the power grid. At present, the research and analysis of strong wind weather mostly stay at the single fan level, and the causes of abnormal changes in wind power output are mostly analyzed from the physical level. However, with the large-scale access of wind power to the power grid, the impact of extreme weather on power grid operation is becoming more and more significant, and it is particularly important to study the impact of strong wind weather events on wind power cluster output. This paper summarizes various types of wind power generation weather events, then screens key meteorological factors affecting power generation under different wind weather conditions based on Gaussian search and grey correlation weighting, and finally analyzes the meteorological impact on the actual operation of wind farm stations and clusters under typhoons and cold waves respectively, aiming at the problem of huge deviations in wind power forecast caused by wind. Building a Stereo and Wide-View Hybrid RGB/FIR Imaging System for Autonomous Vehicle

In this work, a novel paradigm is proposed to build a hybrid RGB/FIR camera, which outputs pixel-wisely aligned and temporally synchronized RGB and FIR frames simultaneously. Compared with the existing schemes, we innovate in several ways to make it compact, practical, and extendable for real-world applications. First, we propose a new structure layout design of the hybrid camera, and we also design a removable adjuster to detach the hybrid camera from the base platform. For RGB and FIR image registration, we have achieved a pixel-wise spatial registration of the FIR and RGB frames by a two-step alignment, where we propose a ghost-effect removal scheme to remove the ghost effect from the rolling-shutter-based FIR camera. Finally, multiple hybrid cameras are extended to a hybrid camera array, through which we can obtain wide-view spatially aligned FIR, RGB and disparity images simultaneously. The experimental results demonstrate the accuracy of the hybrid camera and the effectiveness of the designed stereo wide-view hybrid camera system. © 2001-2012 IEEE.

Sharding is an effective technique to improve the scalability of blockchain. It splits nodes into multiple groups so that they can process transactions in parallel. To achieve higher parallelism and concurrency at large scales, it is desirable to maintain a large number of small shards. However, simply configuring small shards easily results in a higher fraction of malicious nodes inside shards, causing shard corruption and compromising system security. Existing sharding techniques hence demand large shards, at the expense of limited concurrency. To address this limitation, we propose CoChain: a blockchain sharding system that can securely configure small shards for enhanced concurrency. CoChain allows some shards to be corrupted. For security, each shard is monitored by multiple other shards. The latter reach a cross-shard Consensus on the Consensus results of their monitored shard. Once a corrupted shard is found, its subsequent consensus will be taken over by another shard, hence recovering the system. Weakly supervised video object segmentation (WSVOS) enables the identification of segmentation maps without requiring extensive annotations of object masks, relying instead on coarse video labels indicating object presence. WSVOS in surgical videos is, however, more challenging due to the complex interaction of multiple transient objects, such as surgical tools moving in and out of the surgical field. In this scenario, state-of-the-art WSVOS methods struggle to learn accurate segmentation maps. We address this problem by introducing ViDeo Spatio-Temporal disentanglement Networks (VDST-Net), a framework to disentangle complex spatio-temporal object interactions using semi-decoupled knowledge distillation to predict high-quality class activation maps (CAMs). A teacher network is designed to help a temporal-reasoning student network resolve activation conflicts, as the student leverages temporal dependencies when specifics about object location and timing in the video are not provided. We demonstrate the efficacy of our framework on a challenging surgical video dataset where objects are, on average, present in less than 60% of annotated frames, and compare our method to state-of-the-art methods on surgical data and on a public dataset commonly used to benchmark WSVOS. Our method outperforms state-of-the-art techniques and generates accurate segmentation masks under video-level weak supervision. Our code is available at: https://***/PCASOlab/VDST-net. © 2025 IEEE.

This article supplies a proposed approach Neuro Fuzzy Controller (NFC)-Adaptive Backstepping Controller (ABC)-Space Vector Modulation (SVM) for a five-level NPC inverter-Double Stator Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (DSIPMSM). This paper's primary objective is to enhance DSIPMSM's performance by the use of strong control using the proposed approach. Given its benefits - including high torque density, high efficiency, high power density, and minimal maintenance - DSIPMSM, have recently been the focus of much research. Using the input-output linearization approach and Lyapunov stability theory, asymptotically stable trajectory-following dynamics are demonstrated using nonlinear adaptive backstepping control. The use of fuzzy logic and intelligence-based controllers are increasingly being used to enhance traditional control's performance and output. In addition, the fuzzy logic controller has a lot of flaws that are presently being fixed by the extremely effective NFC tool. The proposed method's worth was demonstrated by the simulation results in terms of durability, effective tracking dynamics, precision, and good disturbance rejection with little ripple. © 2024 IEEE.

In the field of automated language processing, distinguishing between Moroccan Arabic (Darija) in multilingual contexts is a major challenge. This study addresses this challenge by exploiting feature selection techniques to improve the accuracy of tongue detection. Using a comprehensive methodology integrating various feature selection methods, including TF-idf, CBOW, Word2Vec for feature extraction, LASSO regression, decision trees for machine learning techniques, and statistical feature selection such as ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and Mutual information, alongside semantic techniques by developing our semantic encoders adapted to Arabic data, we strive to uncover the most important, relevant language features while attenuating the noise. As a result, we have obtained robust results by applying the famous XGBOOST, with conventional extraction methods and SVD as a dimensional reduction method with a very reasonable execution time. Our experimental results highlight the effectiveness of feature selection techniques to reinforce supervised learning tasks. This research not only advances the field of natural language processing but also highlights the central role of feature selection in deciphering complex linguistic landscapes. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of computer Applications and Management 2024.

In 2016, ITU-T Video Coding Experts Group (VCEG) and ISO/IEC MPEG finalize the recent 3-dimensional video coding standard founded on Multi-view texture Videos plus Depth maps (MVD) format called, the 3D extension of High-Efficiency Video Coding (3D-HEVC). In the current design of 3D-HEVC, the conventional intra-prediction modes and Depth Modeling Modes are exploited sophistically to improve the depth map coding performance. However, the coding efficiency improvement is achieved at the cost of computational complexity load, which obstructs 3D-High Efficiency Video Coding standards from practical world applications. In the 3D-HEVC, the depth maps are described by enormous homogeneous regions, and it is observed that for most of the cases, the DMMs and all or the majority of angular intra modes could be skipped for the homogenous area. Thus, we propose an efficient intra-coding model decision for a depth map founded on the clustering algorithm and edge detection to resolve the above-mentioned complexity increase. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed intra-coding model decision for depth map can decrease the encoding time up to 41.35%, with insignificant loss of rate-distortion performance. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Technology has influenced the hospitality industry, and the Internet of Things (IoT) has become a focus for sustainability, revenue growth, and problem-solving. This systematic review examined the opportunities and challenges of implementing IoT technology for a sustainable hospitality. Through a thorough analysis of 28 studies, we found that IoT technology has great potential to address sustainability issues in the hospitality industry. However, there are still significant challenges that need to be addressed for the successful implementation of IoT technology in the hospitality industry. Overall, this study highlights the potential of IoT technology to revolutionize the hospitality industry and make it more sustainable. Further research is needed to address the challenges of IoT implementation in the hospitality industry and to evaluate the effectiveness of IoT technology in achieving sustainability goals. © 2023 IEEE.
