To address the multiobjective flexible job shop scheduling problem, this paper establishes a Markov Decision Process for Multiobjective Flexible Job-Shop Scheduling Problem, aiming to minimize makespan and total machine load. Additionally, a multiobjective optimization algorithm base deep reinforcement learning is proposed. Firstly, a multiobjective decomposition strategy is introduced to decompose the problem into a set of subproblems, and graph neural networks with identical structures are employed to represent the priority dispatching rules for each subproblem. Experimental results demonstrate that this approach exhibits better generalization, higher solution quality, and faster convergence compared to previous methods. © 2024 SPIE.

Preventing network attacks and protecting user privacy are consistently hot research topics in the Internet of Things (IoT) and edge computing fields. Recent advancements in Federated Learning (FL) have shown promise in addressing these challenges. FL allows various clients to collaboratively build an intrusion detection system (IDS) without sharing their private data. However, most existing methods train a single intrusion detection model for all clients and assume that the training and test data distribution are identical, leading to unsatisfactory detection accuracy and generalization abilities in practice. To overcome these challenges, this paper introduces a prototype-guided personalized FL approach named PG-FedIDS. We propose two novel mechanisms within this method. Firstly, we utilize class prototypes as auxiliary information carriers to generate personalized models for each client, rather than generating a single global model as in previous works. Secondly, we propose a prototype-guided ensemble learning strategy, which can leverage the global knowledge in prototypes to enhance detection accuracy and generalization abilities for each client. We conduct extensive experiments on two benchmark datasets with different evaluation test settings. The results demonstrate that our PG-FedIDS achieves promising detection accuracy and consistently outperforms other FL baselines. © 2024 IEEE.

The purpose of this paper is to present a new GAN-ID algorithm to gener-ate interior scene intelligently based on Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT). Although great progress has been made when GAN algorithm applied in smart homes and smart cities, the issue of the trade-off between the accuracy and the efficiency in interior scene has been overlooked. A number of experiments were performed to check the performance and it is indicated that the results of the proposed GAN-ID has great advantages in model sample generation than other common methods when generating interior scene intelligently, which is similar to state-of-the-art. It is meaningful when it can be applied in smart cities and smart homes filed based on AIoT in the future. © 2024, J. Network Intell. All rights reserved.

Nonlinear system identification remains an important open challenge across research and academia. Large numbers of novel approaches are seen published each year, each presenting improvements or extensions to existing methods. It is natural, therefore, to consider how one might choose between these competing models. Benchmark datasets provide one clear way to approach this question. However, to make meaningful inference based on benchmark performance it is important to understand how well a new method performs comparatively to results available with well-established methods. This paper presents a set of ten baseline techniques and their relative performances on five popular benchmarks. The aim of this contribution is to stimulate thought and discussion regarding objective comparison of identification methodologies. © 2024, CC BY.

In order to improve the efficiency of indoor mobile robots in locating and segmenting environmental instances, an instance segmentation method based on RTMDet is proposed. Firstly, the more powerful ConvNeXt V2 is used as the backbone network of the model, which improves the performance of the existing RTMDet model. Subsequently, NAS-FPN is used as a converged network to detect the network at any given time. Finally, AdamW is used as the model optimiser, which effectively solves the problem of excessive memory occupation when updating parameters and improves the performance of the model. The proposed method obtains the highest evaluation index in all cases. After training and testing on the Cityscapes data set, the recognition accuracy reaches 65.0%. © 2024 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Traditional deep learning models firmly rely on a large amount of labeled data during pre-training. Whereas it lacks generalization in the face of unfamiliar categories. Recently, few-shot learning is a hot topic in computer vision to classify unseen classes with limited labels. A representative approach is to extract features from the support and query sets, respectively, and compare similarities via metric learning. However, convolutional neural networks often focus only on a local region and ignore the global region, which severely reduces the accuracy of the matching. Specifically, in this paper, we pile lightweight attention-based blocks in the embedding module, which combines an adaptive kernel size 2D convolutional network with a cross-channel attention mechanism to encode multi-scale features and implicitly increase the receptive field. The SE-relation module chooses to construct learnable non-linear comparators to compare the relationship utilizing channel information. Finally, we show experimental results on standard few-shot testing benchmarks such as mini-ImageNet and tiered-ImageNet to demonstrate effectiveness. © 2023 ACM.

Incorporating positive temperature coefficient(PTC)ceramic particles into polymers provides a prospective alternative solution for suppressing severe electric field distortions caused by negative temperature coefficient(NTC)of electrical resistivity within polymer insulation in high voltage direct current *** effect of the Curie temperature of PTC particles on the inhibition of the NTC effect of cross-linked polyethylene(XLPE)is investigated in this *** temperature coefficient particles with varied Curie temperatures are surface-modified and melt blending with *** modified particles are dispersed on averagely in the *** electrical resistivity,space charge behaviour,and direct current(DC)electrical breakdown strength of the samples are investigated at different temperatures,exploring the effect of the Curie temperature of PTC particles on suppressing the NTC effect of *** is demonstrated that the reduction in Curie temperature can further suppress the NTC effect of XLPE,enhance the DC strength at elevated temperatures,and inhibit the internal space charge *** reduction in the Curie temperatures means that the initiation of the PTC effect advances,exhibiting a higher potential barrier and inhibiting the NTC effect more *** work may give a reference for improving the temperature stability of DC properties for XLPE cable insulation.

Advertising attribution is an effective method to measure the effect of various advertisements in the era of Internet advertising. It enables scientific tracking back and refined operation of advertising by quantitatively evaluating the contribution of different advertising channels to reach the target. It is challenging to predict conversion results based on users' journey data accurately, reflect the impact of ads on user conversions, and appropriately assign attribution values to advertising channels. To achieve the above objectives, we propose an advertising attribution method based on a temporal convolutional network with an attention mechanism (Att-TCN). By mining the hidden information in time and attribution channels using the attention mechanism, our proposed method can improve the accuracy of conversion prediction and thus more rationally assign attribution values across channels. Experimental validation on a real dataset obtained from an operational commercial advertising monitoring company shows that our proposed attribution method has better accuracy than other state-of-the-art attribution methods and gives an open-ended approach to attribution value assignment. © 2022 IEEE.

Multi-modal histological image registration tasks pose significant challenges due to tissue staining operations causing partial loss and folding of *** neural network(CNN)and generative adversarial network(GAN)are pivotal inmedical image ***,existing methods often struggle with severe interference and deformation,as seen in histological images of conditions like Cushing’s *** argue that the failure of current approaches lies in underutilizing the feature extraction capability of the discriminator *** this study,we propose a novel multi-modal registration approach GAN-DIRNet based on GAN for deformable histological image *** begin with,the discriminators of two GANs are embedded as a new dual parallel feature extraction module into the unsupervised registration networks,characterized by implicitly extracting feature descriptors of specific ***,modal feature description layers and registration layers collaborate in unsupervised optimization,facilitating faster convergence and more precise ***,experiments and evaluations were conducted on the registration of the Mixed National Institute of Standards and Technology database(MNIST),eight publicly available datasets of histological sections and the Clustering-Registration-Classification-Segmentation(CRCS)dataset on the Cushing’s *** results demonstrate that our proposed GAN-DIRNet method surpasses existing approaches like DIRNet in terms of both registration accuracy and time efficiency,while also exhibiting robustness across different image types.

Frequency stability enhancement of a two-area interconnected power system under error-based active disturbance rejection control

In the context of grid-connected renewable energy sources and deep peak shaving of thermal power units, the grid structure and characteristics are variable. In this regard, the application of error-based active disturbance rejection control (EADRC) in a two-area interconnected power system is considered with the aim of enhancing the frequency stability of the system. The stability of the proposed strategy is demonstrated and the effects of load variations and renewable energy output fluctuations on frequency are analyzed by modeling the two-area power system. Meanwhile, a comparison of control strategies of different orders is carried out. Simulation results show that the use of EADRC technique under NSGA-II rectification significantly improves the frequency response, both in terms of error and output smoothness. The effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified in the IEEE 39-Bus system. The proper controller order selection and disturbance rejection core idea are beneficial to enhance the overall frequency stability of the power system. © 2025
