RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) are essential for gene expression, and the complex RNA-protein interaction mechanisms require analysis of global RNA information. Therefore, accurate prediction of RBP binding sites on full-length RNA transcripts is crucial for understanding these mechanisms and their roles in diseases. While machine learning methods can predict RBP binding to RNA fragments, extending this to full-length transcripts presents challenges due to sequence length and data imbalance. In this paper, we introduce RBP-Former, a binding site joint prediction model designed specifically for full-length RNA transcripts that can be used for multiple RBPs. This model processes information at both coarse and fine-grained levels to fully exploit sequence data and its interactions with multiple RBPs. We develop multi-level imbalance learning strategies, achieving favorable results on imbalanced data. Our method outperforms existing methods in predicting binding sites on full-length RNA transcripts for multiple RBPs, demonstrating its effectiveness in handling imbalanced label and sample distributions. © 2024 IEEE.

As the largest class of small non-coding RNAs, piRNAs primarily present in the reproductive cells of mammals, which influence post-transcriptional processes of mRNAs in multiple ways. Effective methods for predicting piRNA and mRNA target relationships can help identify piRNA functions, investigate the possibility of piRNAs as biomarkers and therapeutic targets. In this study, we propose a computational approach for classifying the relationships of piRNA-mRNA pairs based on an interactive inference network (IIN). First, we gather piRNA-mRNA target data, collect sequence data by position alignment, and construct a benchmark dataset. Furthermore, a reliable negative set is constructed by positive-unlabeled learning. Finally, we view a piRNA and a mRNA sequence as a premise and hypothesis sentence, respectively, and IIN model is used to predict the relationship between them. The experiments demonstrate that our method effectively characterizes piRNA-mRNA interaction and could be beneficial for researchers to investigate piRNA functions. © 2023 IEEE.

The research of fuel cell and lithium battery hybrid system has attracted more and more researchers because of its advantages of low emission. However, the lower efficiency of energy management has been a critical factor that obstruct the commercialization of hybrid system. In this work, based on finite element ideas, a solid oxide full cell node model is developed to accurately estimate the operating status of the fuel cell. As for lithium battery, previous energy management studies generally only focused on state of charge, however, state of health is also a key parameter for lithium battery. In this paper, considering the strong coupling between variables we use particle filter algorithm to jointly estimate the state of charge and state of health. To reasonably distribute and manage the energy in the hybrid system, a T-S fuzzy controller for the hybrid system is designed by controlling the state variables in the SOFC model and the state of lithium battery. Finally, our algorithm is verified by DSPACE simulation platform. The result shows that the hybrid system with the energy management strategy not only meets the real-time sharply changing demand but also ensures the hybrid system working efficiently and safely. © 2022 China Electric Power Research Institute. Panoramic image plays an extremely important role in the application of 3D, but in some special scenarios, the depth information is also needed as an auxiliary, but to obtain the panoramic depth information needs a high cost, it is extremely difficult to obtain. Therefore, this paper proposes a panoramic depth estimation method called PDEGAN (Panoramic Depth Estimation Generative Adversarial Network). This method first enhances the style migration, transfers the input panoramic image to a style closer to the panoramic depth image domain, and then combines the conversion results with the original panoramic image as the input data for further depth estimation training. By using the style closer to the depth estimation, the texture, color and other characteristics of the image can be adjusted, so as to better highlight the depth information of the object in the image, so that the generator network is more focused on performing the image translation task, reduce the impact of style differences on the image translation task, and improve the generalization ability of the model. At the same time, the model will also use multi-scale feature fusion, combined with the attention mechanism, to better capture the depth information of different scales, viewing angles and channels. Not only that, but also by introducing depth gradient loss, surface normal loss to improve the accuracy and stability of depth estimation. To this end, we also made a set of related datasets for the related experiments of PDEGAN, and named it PDE Images. Finally, it is shown that the method proposed in this paper has more accurate estimation results than the traditional Pix2Pix image conversion model. © 2024, Taiwan Ubiquitous Information CO LTD. A Stability Condition for Asynchronous and Aperiodic Sampled-Data Cyber-Physical systems Under DoS Attacks

This paper is concerned with the stability problem of cyber-physical systems (CPSs) exposed to denial-of-service (DoS) attacks. In-depth analysis and discussion are made under practical constraints of asynchronous and aperiodic sampling with measurement errors. DoS attacks, which are supposed to be aperiodic, interrupt communication on control channels. A sufficient condition in terms of DoS attack duration and frequency is derived to guarantee the asymptotic stability of the system by combining the Lyapunov’s method, inequality techniques and an iterative method. The stability result is applicable to the estimation of the maximum allowable sampling intervals which are closely related to the convergence speed, and characterizes the trade-off between communication resources and stability performance. Finally, the effectiveness of the theoretical analysis is verified by two simulation examples.

MG6D: A Deep Fusion Approach for 6D Pose Estimation with Mamba and Graph Convolution Network

Accurate and efficient 6D pose estimation is a fundamental technology in many industrial applications. While existing dense correspondence methods have shown progress, they face challenges in multimodal feature fusion under complex scenarios involving occlusions, illumination variations, and sensor noise. This paper proposes a novel 6D pose estimation framework that addresses these limitations through a hybrid Mamba-Graph architecture. The algorithm first introduces a panoramic attention fusion Mamba module, leveraging state-space modeling to capture long-range dependencies in multi-modal data while establishing cross-dimensional interactions between channel and spatial features to emphasize critical information. A dynamic graph convolutional adaptive fusion module is then designed to enable cross-modal geometric consistency modeling via multi-modal feature integration. Finally, a texture-geometry co-driven keypoint selection mechanism is proposed to ensure keypoint distributions satisfy both spatial uniformity and discriminability requirements. Experimental results on three common datasets demonstrate that the proposed algorithm achieves ADD(-S) metrics of 99.82%, 80.26%, and 97.2%, respectively. Notably, it exhibits significant advantages in pose estimation for objects with repetitive textures and high symmetry. © 2013 IEEE.

This paper is based on the research background of block relocation in the automated warehouse and proposes a solution utilizing AGV to relocate goods within the warehouse. Building upon the automated warehouse layout and block relocation process, we formulate a mathematical model to minimize the the number of AGV moving goods and the total travel distance of the AGV. To solve the model, we develop an enhanced genetic algorithm, which zones the block relocation process into multiple stages. Each stage integrates conventional heuristic algorithms to enhance the efficiency of the solution process. The improved genetic algorithm can effectively solve the problem, significantly enhancing the automation level of the warehouse. © 2024 The Authors.

Concept-Level Semantic Transfer and Context-Level Distribution Modeling for Few-Shot Segmentation

Few-shot segmentation (FSS) methods aim to segment objects using only a few pixel-level annotated samples. Current approaches either derive a generalized class representation from support samples to guide the segmentation of query samples, which often discards crucial spatial contextual information, or rely heavily on spatial affinity between support and query samples, without adequately summarizing and utilizing the core information of the target class. Consequently, the former struggles with fine detail accuracy, while the latter tends to produce errors in overall localization. To address these issues, we propose a novel FSS framework, CCFormer, which balances the transmission of core semantic concepts with the modeling of spatial context, improving both macro and micro-level segmentation accuracy. Our approach introduces three key modules: (1) the Concept Perception Generation (CPG) module, which leverages pre-trained category perception capabilities to capture high-quality core representations of the target class;(2) the Concept-Feature Integration (CFI) module, which injects the core class information into both support and query features during feature extraction;and (3) the Contextual Distribution Mining (CDM) module, which utilizes a Brownian Distance Covariance matrix to model the spatial-channel distribution between support and query samples, preserving the fine-grained integrity of the target. Experimental results on the PASCAL-5i and COCO-20i datasets demonstrate that CCFormer achieves state-of-the-art performance, with visualizations further validating its effectiveness. Many natural and engineering systems can be modeled and represented in the forms of graph data, and then studied using graph theory and network analysis tools. Graph representation learning aims at generating lower-dimensional representations from higher-dimensional graph data, which is a crucial step that facilitates the follow-up tasks, such as node and graph classifications. In this paper, we present a simple but effective graph representation learning method, namely the pyramid pooling-based local profile (PPLP), which enables local nodal profiles to be transformed into a graph representation, with multi-scale features extracted. PPLP can be either embedded into a graph neural network as the readout layer, or perform independently as a graph embedding algorithm. The resultant representations of PPLP are for graph-level tasks. PPLP is experimentally tested by performing graph classification tasks on ten representative datasets, either as the readout layer of different graph neural networks, or as an independent graph embedding algorithm. Experimental results demonstrate that: 1) when embedded into graph neural networks, PPLP outperforms the widely-used global pooling-based readout methods;2) as an independent graph embedding algorithm, PPLP performs fairly good, especially on the social network datasets. The investigation confirms PPLP as a simple but promising method for graph-level tasks. © 2023 IEEE.
