Eco-driving emerges as a cost-effective and efficient strategy to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions in urban transportation networks. Acknowledging the persuasive influence of incentives in shaping driver behavior, this paper presents the ‘eco-planner,’ a digital platform devised to promote eco-driving practices in urban transportation. At the outset of their trips, users provide the platform with their trip details and travel time preferences, enabling the eco-planner to formulate personalized eco-driving recommendations and corresponding incentives, while adhering to its budgetary constraints. Upon trip completion, incentives are transferred to users who comply with the recommendations and effectively reduce their emissions. By comparing our proposed incentive mechanism with a baseline scheme that offers uniform incentives to all users, we demonstrate that our approach achieves superior emission reductions and increased user compliance with a smaller budget.

In this paper, an optimized mechanism for Semiconductor wafer fabrication (SWF) by integrating the Adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) with Simulated annealing (SA) algorithm is proposed. In this approach, aiming to solve the rush order problem which significantly affect the cycle time and impact the Work in process (WIP) of lots due to the high priority, we build an ANFIS based prediction model which will be embedded into releasing to forecast product codes and quantities of the contingent rush orders. Then a scheduler based on SA algorithm is constructed, the coding of which represents a combination of scheduling policies, including lot releasing policies, dispatching rules, batching rules and settingup rules. When the SA finished its optimization process, an optimal scheduling policy is produced. By using the proposed approach, we will find that the system can be optimized to a large extent and give a better performance.

Handwritten signature verification (HSV) models are notably recognized for their ability to discern whether a signature is forged in an offline document. Recently, HSV technology has made significant development. However, these methods have primarily focused on the shape features of the text image and overlooked the textual feature information inherent in the text itself, which makes the HSV model overfit. In this paper, we propose a novel network model named OCR4HSV to solve the above shortcomings. The proposed OCR4HSV first attempts to combine OCR and HSV to learn textual features in a multi-task learning manner. The model employs a dual-parameter approach, combining shared parameters and independent parameters. Specifically, Within the shared parameters, the Laplace attention module (LAM) is incorporated for edge information extraction. For independent parameters, CN-Mamba is utilized for sequence feature extraction in OCR, and the multi-scale global fusion block (MGFB) is designed to enhance the distinction between reference and test sample pairs. Leveraging OCR-related information and these architectural enhancements can fully mine the inherent textual feature information and significantly mitigate overfitting in the HSV task, thereby boosting verification accuracy. CoSDH: Communication-Efficient Collaborative Perception via Supply-Demand Awareness and Intermediate-Late Hybridization

Multi-agent collaborative perception enhances perceptual capabilities by utilizing information from multiple agents and is considered a fundamental solution to the problem of weak single-vehicle perception in autonomous driving. However, existing collaborative perception methods face a dilemma between communication efficiency and perception accuracy. To address this issue, we propose a novel communication-efficient collaborative perception framework based on supply-demand awareness and intermediate-late hybridization, dubbed as CoSDH. By modeling the supply-demand relationship between agents, the framework refines the selection of collaboration regions, reducing unnecessary communication cost while maintaining accuracy. In addition, we innovatively introduce the intermediate-late hybrid collaboration mode, where late-stage collaboration compensates for the performance degradation in collaborative perception under low communication bandwidth. Extensive experiments on multiple datasets, including both simulated and real-world scenarios, demonstrate that CoSDH achieves state-of-the-art detection accuracy and optimal bandwidth tradeoffs, delivering superior detection precision under real communication bandwidths, thus proving its effectiveness and practical applicability. Emerging computing paradigms provide field-level service responses for users, for example, edge computing, fog computing, and MEC. Edge virtualization technologies represented by Docker can provide a platform-independent, low-resource-consumption operating environment for edge service. The image-pulling time of Docker is a crucial factor affecting the start-up speed of edge services. The layer reuse mechanism of native Docker cannot fully utilize the duplicate data of node local images. In this paper, we propose a chunk reuse mechanism (CRM), which effectively targets node-local duplicate data during container updates and reduces the volume of data transmission required for image building. We orchestrate the CRM process for cloud and remote-cloud nodes to ensure that the resource overhead from container update data preparation and image reconstruction is within an acceptable range. The experimental results show that the CRM proposed in this paper can effectively utilize the node local duplicate data in the synchronous update of containers in multiple nodes, reduce the volume of data transmission, and significantly improve container update efficiency. © 2023 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Class-incremental learning poses a significant challenge under an exemplar-free constraint, leading to catastrophic forgetting and sub-par incremental accuracy. Previous attempts have focused primarily on single-modality tasks, such as image classification or audio event classification. However, in the context of Audio-Visual Class-Incremental Learning (AVCIL), the effective integration and utilization of heterogeneous modalities, with their complementary and enhancing characteristics, remains largely unexplored. To bridge this gap, we propose the Multi-Modal Analytic Learning (MMAL) framework, an exemplar-free solution for AVCIL that employs a closed-form, linear approach. To be specific, MMAL introduces a modality fusion module that re-formulates the AVCIL problem through a Recursive Least-Square (RLS) perspective. Complementing this, a Modality-Specific Knowledge Compensation (MSKC) module is designed to further alleviate the under-fitting limitation intrinsic to analytic learning by harnessing individual knowledge from audio and visual modality in tandem. Comprehensive experimental comparisons with existing methods show that our proposed MMAL demonstrates superior performance with the accuracy of 76.71%, 78.98%, and 76.19% on AVE, Kinetics-Sounds, and VGGSounds100 datasets, respectively, setting new state-of-the-art AVCIL performance. Notably, compared to those memory-based methods, our MMAL, being an exemplar-free approach, provides good data privacy and can better leverage multi-modal information for improved incremental accuracy. © 2024 ACM.

Dynamic quantization has attracted rising attention in image super-resolution (SR) as it expands the potential of heavy SR models onto mobile devices while preserving competitive performance. Existing methods explore layer-to-bit configuration upon varying local regions, adaptively allocating the bit to each layer and patch. Despite the benefits, they still fall short in the trade-off of SR accuracy and quantization efficiency. Apart from this, adapting the quantization level for each layer individually can disturb the original inter-layer relationships, thus diminishing the representation capability of quantized models. In this work, we propose Granular-DQ, which capitalizes on the intrinsic characteristics of images while dispensing with the previous consideration for layer sensitivity in quantization. Granular-DQ conducts a multi-granularity analysis of local patches with further exploration of their information densities, achieving a distinctive patch-wise and layer-invariant dynamic quantization paradigm. Specifically, Granular-DQ initiates by developing a granularity-bit controller (GBC) to apprehend the coarse-to-fine granular representations of different patches, matching their proportional contribution to the entire image to determine the proper bit-width allocation. On this premise, we investigate the relation between bit-width and information density, devising an entropy-to-bit (E2B) mechanism that enables further fine-grained dynamic bit adaption of high-bit patches. Extensive experiments validate the superiority and generalization ability of Granular-DQ over recent state-of-the-art methods on various SR models. In the field of robust audio watermarking,how to seek a good trade-off between robustness and imperceptibility is challenging. The existing studies use the same embedding parameter for each part of the audio signal, which ignores that different parts may have different requirements for embedding parameters. In this work, the constraints on imperceptibility are first ***, we present a segment multi-objective optimization model of the scaling parameter under the constrained Signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) in Spread spectrum(SS)audio watermarking. Additionally, we adopt the Nondominated sorting genetic algorithm Ⅱ(NSGA-Ⅱ) to solve the proposed model. Finally, we compare our algorithm(called SS-SNR-NSGA-Ⅱ) with the existing methods. The experimental results show that the proposed SS-SNRNSGA-Ⅱ not only provides flexible choices for different application demands but also achieves more and better trade-offs between imperceptibility and robustness.
