For the power plant of hypersonic vehicle – scramjet, this work mainly studies the effects of the translating cowl of inlet on the static and dynamic performance of the hypersonic vehicle. The results indicate that the effects of the cowl on lift and drag can be negligible, while the effects of the cowl on thrust and pitching moment are significant. The cowl makes thrust-drag ratio bigger and the accelerated conditions corresponding angle of attack range larger. The cowl increases the degree of flexible deformation, but in total this effects can be negligible. For the balance states, the elevator deflection angle needed becomes bigger to offset the additional pitching moment;a smaller angle of attack and stoichiometrically normalized fuel equivalence ratio(FER) needed generate enough thrust to reach a certain speed and height, thereby the flight left margin considering viscous is expanded. The article also analyzes the effects of a translating cowl on open-loop poles and zeros of the typical transfer function of the linear model, and found the RHP unstable zeros was away from the imaginary axis, the flight control system bandwidth limit can be slightly widened. This article provides the basis theoretical study for further controller design of the hypersonic vehicle.

This paper addresses the problem of regional stabilization of NCSs in continuous-time form subject to state constraints,saturated quantizer and packet dropouts. Different from the previous results based on quadratic stability, a state feedback uniform quantizer is designed via the non-quadratic Lyapunov functional approach. To achieve such an objective, the saturated quantizer is decomposed into two parts, a saturation function and a uniformly bounded disturbance. A polytopic representation of the saturation function is utilized, which builds the foundation on the construction of the non-quadratic Lyapunov functional. The designed controller is obtained through the solutions of some matrix inequalities. A numerical example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of our results.

Non-invasive ultrasonic tomography is a practical solution of extracting cross-section information regarding the process of two-phase flow. For gas/water two-phase flow, the ultrasonic energy would be reflected about 99.94% at the gas/water interface due to the great differences between the acoustic impedance of water and gas. In this paper, the relations between pressure or voltage loss and bubble diameter has been studied by simulation results and experimental results, respectively by the ultrasonic transmission method. Both results showed that the transmission-mode measurement method has good resolution on the bubble diameter.

In this paper, a new adaptive controller for a quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) is presented via Immersion and Invariance(I&I) approach. The quadrotor's dynamic model is subjected to some uncertain parameters such as the inertial moments, aerodynamic damping coefficients and so on. In particular, the mass-eccentric effects by the payloads are also *** all these uncertainties above, the proposed adaptive controller is still capable of driving the quadrotor UAV's attitude asymptotically to a desired trajectory. Over past decades, kernel principal component analysis (KPCA) appeared quite popularly in data-driven process monitoring area. Enormous work has been done to show its simplicity, feasibility, and effectiveness. However, the introduction of kernel trick makes it impossible to directly employ traditional contribution plots for fault diagnosis. In this paper, on the basis of revisiting and analyzing the existing KPCA-relevant diagnosis approaches, a new contribution rate based method is proposed which can explain the faulty variables clearly. Furthermore, a scheme for online nonlinear diagnosis is established. In the end, a case study on continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) benchmark is applied to access the effectiveness of the new methodology, where the comparisons with the traditional linear method are involved as well.

Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel cell has many perfect characters and becomes one of the most important research subjects among domestic and international fuel cell fields. Heat transfer management is one of the key technologies for PEM fuel cell. This paper built a temperature model of PEM fuel cell based on fuzzy technology, which divided the fuzzy space evenly by established rules, got the number of fuzzy rules and rules application degree, identified the consequent parameters by least square method. This model is fit for multi-variables and has simple construction and high accuracy. Finally, simulation examples show the effectiveness of the modeling.
