This paper proposes a sliding mode estimation-based control to solve the stochastic time delay problem in networked microgrid,because stochastic delay has a great impact on the stability and performance of large power grids（LPG）.To analyze the delay effects,the microgrid system model is derived according to the characteristics of the inverter in grid-connected *** on the microgrid system model,the stochastic delay estimation with learning parameter and delayed states are *** control signal designed by sliding mode control（SMC） and the learning parameter of delay estimation are adaptively changed in the sliding mode estimation-based control *** reaching law（ERL） is proposed to solve the chattering issues of *** 3.3 KW microgrid parameters are added into simulation to verify the effectiveness and performance of the proposed control strategy.

In this paper, a distributed control scheme based on population games is proposed. The controller is in charge of dealing with the energy consumption problem in a Heterogeneous Cellular Network (HetNet) powered by hybrid energy sources (grid and renewable energy) while guaranteeing appropriate quality of service (QoS) level at the same time. Unlike the conventional approach in population games, it considers both atomicity and non-anonymity. Simulation results show that the proposed population-games approach reduces grid consumption by up to about 12% compared to the traditional best-signal level association policy. © 2018 AACC.

For the lack of process data of the Gas-Steam combined cycle power plant in initial operating stage, this article presents a method for the output power prediction of CCPP using the Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy process(FAHP). Firstly, based on the analysis of the main factors that affect the CCPP output, a hierarchical structure for the prediction of CCPP output is established by combining with Analytical Hierarchy process and calculating weight vectors according to experts' experience. Then, analyze and correct the operating characteristic curves of CCPP, which will be taken as the input and output membership functions. Finally, the output prediction model can be established, and the effectiveness of output prediction model of CCPP based on improved FAHP is demonstrated by the data set from a real case.

Oil–water two-phase flow pattern analysis with ERT based measurement and multivariate maximum Lyapunov exponent

Oil–water two-phase flow patterns in a horizontal pipe are analyzed with a 16-electrode electrical resistance tomography(ERT) system. The measurement data of the ERT are treated as a multivariate time-series, thus the information extracted from each electrode represents the local phase distribution and fraction change at that location. The multivariate maximum Lyapunov exponent(MMLE) is extracted from the 16-dimension time-series to demonstrate the change of flow pattern versus the superficial velocity ratio of oil to water. The correlation dimension of the multivariate time-series is further introduced to jointly characterize and finally separate the flow patterns with MMLE. The change of flow patterns with superficial oil velocity at different water superficial velocities is studied with MMLE and correlation dimension, respectively, and the flow pattern transition can also be characterized with these two features. The proposed MMLE and correlation dimension map could effectively separate the flow patterns, thus is an effective tool for flow pattern identification and transition analysis.

This paper investigates cooperative adaptive cruise control (CACC) of vehicles, focusing on the effect of medium access control (MAC) protocol and the inaccurate acceleration measurement. A Markov chain is used to describe the randomness in vehicular network access under a MAC protocol;a reduced-order observer is proposed to estimate the relative acceleration of neighboring vehicles. Based on stochastic system techniques, a series of sufficient conditions are given in the form of backward recursive Riccati Difference Equations (RDE) to guarantee the stable tracking error. Numerical simulations are given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed approach. © 2018 IEEE.

This paper studies the controllability of networked multi-input-multi-output (MIMO) systems, in which the network topology is weighted and directed, and the nodes are heterogeneous higher-dimensional linear time-invariant (LTI) dynamical systems. The primary objective is to search for controllability criteria beyond those already known for homogeneous networks. The focus is on the effects of the network topology, node dynamics, external control inputs, as well as the inner interactions on the network controllability. It is found that a network of heterogeneous systems can be controllable even if the corresponding homogeneous network topology is uncontrollable. The finding thus unravels another fundamental property that affects the network controllability—the heterogeneity of the node dynamics. A necessary and sufficient condition is derived for the controllability of heterogeneous networked MIMO LTI systems. In this paper, we study the problem of finding the least square solutions of over-determined linear algebraic equations over networks in a distributed manner. Each node has access to one of the linear equations and holds a dynamic state. We first propose a distributed least square solver over connected undirected interaction graphs and establish a necessary and sufficient on the step-size under which the algorithm exponentially converges to the least square solution. Next, we develop a distributed least square solver over strongly connected directed graphs and show that the proposed algorithm exponentially converges to the least square solution provided the step-size is sufficiently small. Moreover, we develop a finite-time least square solver by equipping the proposed algorithms with a finite-time decentralized computation mechanism. The theoretical findings are validated and illustrated by numerical simulation examples. Copyright © 2018, The Authors. All rights reserved.

A continuous-time formulation for refinery production scheduling problems involving operational transitions in mode switching

In the refinery scheduling, operational transitions in mode switching are of great significance to formulate dynamic nature of production and obtain efficient schedules. The discrete-time formulation meets two main challenges in modeling: discrete approximation of time and large size of mixed-integer linear problem(MILP).In this article, a continuous-time refinery scheduling model, which involves transitions of mode switching, is presented due to these challenges. To reduce the difficulty in solving large scale MILPs resulting from the sequencing constraints, the global event-based formulation is chosen. Both transition constraints and production transitions are introduced and the numbers of key variables and constraints in both of the discrete-time and continuous-time formulations are analyzed and compared. Three cases with different lengths of time horizons and different numbers of orders are studied to show the efficiency of the proposed model.
