The large-scale integration of renewable energies brings about low inertia characteristics to the power system, and the frequency security faces greater challenges. The existing inertia research lacks the synergy between different types of inertia sources and different control methods, and the inertia response capability of power system still can be improved. In this paper, with the aim of proposing a virtual inertia cooperative control strategy for the power system with high penetration of renewable energies, we analyze the virtual inertia mechanisms of wind power, PV units and energy storage system (ESS), and propose control methods for wind power and PV units to participate in inertia response. Considering the reason of limited inertia response capability of renewable energy units, the fuzzy control is used to make the ESS participate in inertia compensation to improve the frequency response capability. Finally, case study is carried out to verified the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.

In this paper, we develop a simulation platform for the Brain-computer Interface (BCI) based smart wheelchair. The main contribution of our system is to implement an efficient simulation platform for the next generation wheelchair. Meanwhile, due to disabled people training with a real-natural environment that is difficult or costly to access, a means to synthetically recreate a virtual environment is necessary to assist patient training for the wheelchair driving. Emotiv neuroheadset provides an effective and reliable means of performing EEG testing during wheelchair training, which is inexpensive and delivers data of similar quality compared to other EEG recording equipment. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

In order to guarantee the frequency security and stability of the power system with high proportional of wind generation, virtual inertia control techniques are gradually being promoted and applied. However, there is still a lack of methods and techniques to accurately estimate the equivalent virtual inertia of wind farms in real time, which makes it difficult to quantitatively evaluate the effect of virtual inertia control and to dynamically monitor the inertia level of power systems. Therefore, in this paper, an AR model with eXogenous input is applied to the time-varying characteristics of the virtual inertia of wind farm, and a recursive least squares identification algorithm based on a fuzzy control algorithm with an adaptive forgetting factor is proposed to estimate the virtual inertia of wind farms online. The proposed identification model and solution algorithm have superior tracking ability and good convergence. All that is required is to obtain perturbation data on the frequency and active power of the point of common coupling from the phasor measurement unit. A case study is carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

The purpose of this paper is to present a new GAN-ID algorithm to gener-ate interior scene intelligently based on Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT). Although great progress has been made when GAN algorithm applied in smart homes and smart cities, the issue of the trade-off between the accuracy and the efficiency in interior scene has been overlooked. A number of experiments were performed to check the performance and it is indicated that the results of the proposed GAN-ID has great advantages in model sample generation than other common methods when generating interior scene intelligently, which is similar to state-of-the-art. It is meaningful when it can be applied in smart cities and smart homes filed based on AIoT in the future. © 2024, J. Network Intell. All rights reserved.

This paper considers the global finite time stabilization of linear systems subject to actuator saturation. We show that a controllable SISO system whose eigenvalues are real and negative can be globally stabilized in finite time by a homogeneous feedback law. To obviate numerical issues, this homogeneous feedback law is implemented by discretizing a compact set. Numerical simulation validates the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

I Can Read Your Mind: control Mechanism Secrecy of Networked Dynamical systems under Inference Attacks

Recent years have witnessed the fast advance of security research for networked dynamical system (NDS). Considering the latest inference attacks that enable stealthy and precise attacks into NDSs with observation-based learning, this article focuses on a new security aspect, i.e., how to protect control mechanism secrets from inference attacks, including state information, interaction structure and control laws. We call this security property as control mechanism secrecy, which provides protection of the vulnerabilities in the control process and fills the defense gap that traditional cyber security cannot handle. Since the knowledge of control mechanism defines the capabilities to implement attacks, ensuring control mechanism secrecy needs to go beyond the conventional data privacy to cover both transmissible data and intrinsic models in NDSs. The prime goal of this article is to summarize recent results of both inference attacks on control mechanism secrets and countermeasures. We first introduce the basic inference attack methods on the state and structure of NDSs, respectively, along with their inference performance bounds. Then, the corresponding countermeasures and performance metrics are given to illustrate how to preserve the control mechanism secrecy. Necessary conditions are derived to guide the secrecy design. Finally, thorough discussions on the control laws and open issues are presented, beckoning future investigation on reliable countermeasure design and tradeoffs between the secrecy and control performance. The model accuracy and objective function complexity are key issues that remain in the realisation of model predictive control（MPC） of wave energy converters（WECs）.In this study,the viscous force is considered in a WEC model to improve model accuracy,and an improved model predictive control（IMPC） method is proposed that can reduce the quadratic programming（QP） performance requirements of the processor while maintaining a high energy conversion *** effectiveness of the IMPC method was verified through numerical simulations.

To reasonably improve the missing attribute data and effectively integrate sample data and uncertain expert knowledge, this paper proposes a new fault diagnosis method based on a belief rule base (BRB). In the case of missing attribute data, the maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) method is used to complete the missing attribute data, and the fault diagnosis method of the multi-UAVs is constructed by using other complete attribute data as the input information of BRB. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by experimental simulation.

In this paper, a distributed non-model based seeking algorithm which combines the extremum seeking control (ESC) jointly with learning algorithms is proposed to seek a generalized Nash equilibrium (GNE) for a class of noncooperative games with coupled equality constraint. The strategy of each agent is restricted by both the coupled inter-agent constraint and local inequality constraints. Thanks to the ESC, it is unnecessary to know the specific expressions of agents’ cost functions and local constraints and to know the strategies of other agents for the implementation of the proposed GNE seeking algorithm. To deal with the coupled constraints, only the Lagrange multiplier is transmitted among agents with some prior information about the coupled constraints. Moreover, a diminishing dither signal is designed in the seeking algorithm to remove undesirable steady-state oscillations. The non-local convergence of the designed seeking algorithm is analyzed via the singular perturbation theory, averaging analysis and Lyapunov stability theory. A wide variety of integral inequalities (IIs) have been developed and studied for the stability analysis of distributed parameter systems using the Lyapunov functional approach. However, no unified mathematical framework has been proposed that could characterize the similarity and connection between these IIs, as most of them was introduced in a dispersed manner for the analysis of specific types of systems. Additionally, the extent to which the generality of these IIs can be expanded and the optimality of their lower bounds (LBs) remains open questions. In this study, we introduce two general classes of IIs that can generalize nearly all IIs in the literature. The integral kernels of the LBs of our IIs can contain an unlimited number of weighted £2 functions that are linearly independent in a Lebesgue sense. Moreover, we not only estalish the equivalence relations between the LBs of our IIs, but also demonstrate that these LBs are guaranteed by the least squares principle, implying asymptotic convergence to the upper bound when the kernels functions constitutes a Schauder basis of the underlying Hilbert space. Owing to their general structures, our IIs are applicable in a variety of contexts, such as the stability analysis of coupled PDE-ODE systems or cybernetic systems with delay structures.
