The wireless visual sensor network(WVSN)as a new emerged intelligent visual system,has been applied in many video monitoring ***,there is still great challenge because of the limited wireless network *** resolve the problem,we propose a real-time dynamic texture approach which can detect and reduce the temporal redundancy during many successive image ***,an adaptively learning background model is improved to discover successive similar image frames from the inputting video ***,the dynamic texture model based on the singular value decomposition is adopted to distinguish foreground and background element ***,a background discarding strategy based on visual motion coherence is proposed to determine whether each image frame is streamed or *** evaluate the trade-off performance of the proposed method,it is tested on the CDW-2014 dataset,which can accurately detect the first foreground frame when the moving objects of interest appear in the field of view in the most tested dynamic scenes,and the misdetection rate of the undetected foreground frames is near to *** to the original stream,it can reduce the occupied bandwidth a lot and its computational cost is relatively lower than the state-of-the-art methods.

Motion Projection Consistency Based 3D Human Pose Estimation with Virtual Bones from Monocular Videos

Real-time 3D human pose estimation is crucial for human-computer interaction. It is cheap and practical to estimate 3D human pose only from monocular video. However, recent bone splicing based 3D human pose estimation method brings about the problem of cumulative error. In this paper, the concept of virtual bones is proposed to solve such a challenge. The virtual bones are imaginary bones between non-adjacent joints. They do not exist in reality, but they bring new loop constraints for the estimation of 3D human joints. The proposed network in this paper predicts real bones and virtual bones, simultaneously. The final length of real bones is constrained and learned by the loop constructed by the predicted real bones and virtual bones. Besides, the motion constraints of joints in consecutive frames are considered. The consistency between the 2D projected position displacement predicted by the network and the captured real 2D displacement by the camera is proposed as a new projection consistency loss for the learning of 3D human pose. The experiments on the Human3.6M dataset demonstrate the good performance of the proposed method. Ablation studies demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed inter-frame projection consistency constraints and intra-frame loop constraints. Copyright © 2021, The Authors. All rights reserved.

A method of multi-block Single Shot Multi Box Detector(SSD)based on small object detection is proposed to the railway scene of unmanned aerial vehicle *** address the limitation of small object detection,a multi-block SSD mechanism,which consists of three steps,is ***,the original input images are segmented into several overlapped ***,each patch is separately fed into an SSD to detect the ***,the patches are merged together through two *** the first stage,the truncated object of the sub-layer detection result is *** the second stage,a sub-layer suppression and filtering algorithm applying the concept of non-maximum suppression is utilized to remove the overlapped boxes of *** boxes that are not detected in the main-layer are *** addition,no sufficient labeled training samples of railway circumstance are available,thereby hindering the deployment of SSD.A two-stage training strategy leveraging to transfer learning is adopted to solve this *** deep learning model is preliminarily trained using labeled data of numerous auxiliaries,and then it is refined using only a few samples of railway scene.A railway spot in China,which is easily damaged by landslides,is investigated as a case *** results show that the proposed multi-block SSD method produces an overall accuracy of 96.6%and obtains an improvement of up to 9.2%compared with the traditional SSD.

This paper studies a distributed continuous-time aggregative optimization problem, which is a fundamental problem in the price-based energy management. The objective of the distributed aggregative optimization is to minimize the sum of local objective functions, which have a specific expression that relies on agents’ own decisions and the aggregation of all agents’ decisions. To solve the problem, a novel distributed continuous-time algorithm is proposed by combining gradient dynamics with a dynamic average consensus estimator in a two-time scale. The exponential convergence of the proposed algorithm is established under the assumption of a convex global cost function by virtue of the stability theory of singular perturbation systems. Motivated by practical applications, the implementation of the continuous-time algorithm with event-triggered communication is investigated. Simulations on the price-based energy management of distributed energy resources are given to illustrate the proposed method. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In this paper, we propose a positioning algorithm based on sonar images, which is mainly used for the positioning of underwater robots, so that the robots can obtain the position information in real time when operating underwater and avoid colliding with the underwater walls. First, the underwater space was detected with multibeam sonar, and the sonar images of the underwater space wall were found to have line segment characteristics; Composite denoising, threshold segmentation and Canny edge detection are applied to the sonar image to extract the contours of the underwater spatial wall. Then the characteristic line segments of the underwater spatial wall are detected based on the LSD (Line Segment Detector) line segment detection algorithm. In terms of line segment classification, a method is proposed to effectively classify line segments using the origin of the sonar image and the slope of the detected line segment. To further demonstrate the effectiveness of the localization algorithm in this paper, the specific steps of the algorithm are illustrated with the example of underwater rectangular space.

The article puts focus on the the problem of performance assessment for UAV formation with leader-following structure and switching communication topology in the presence of unknown exogenous perturbations. First, two time-varying indicators are devised on the basis of the regulated outputs of the followers. Then, a trainable performance assessment model is constructed by means of belief rule base expert system (BRB) with the two time-varying indicators as the inputs and the assessment utility as the final output. At last, relevant simulation experiments are conducted to validate the practicability of the established performance assessment model for leader-following UAV formation subject to switching communication topology and unknown external perturbations.

In recent years,the installed capacity of wind turbine is increasing year by year,and the influence of wind turbine faults on wind farm operation is also *** this paper,a novel fault diagnosis method is proposed to diagnose the fault of wind turbine *** method is based on stacked sparse denoising auto-encoders(SSDAE)neural network which combines stacked sparse auto-encoders(SSAE) neural network and stacked denoising auto-encoders(SDAE) neural network to extract features from high-dimensional signal data *** addition,extreme learning machine(ELM) classifier is used to finish the fault diagnosis according to the features extracted from high-dimensional signal data by the ***,the method is tested based on the simulation experiment,the simulation results demonstrate that the accuracy of this fault diagnosis method is higher than that of other methods when the same parameters are used.

This paper addresses the robustness of a network to sustain its connectivity and controllability against malicious attacks. This kind of network robustness is typically measured by the time-consuming attack simulation, which returns a sequence of values that record the remaining connectivity and controllability after a sequence of node- or edge-removal attacks. For improvement, this paper develops an efficient framework for network robustness prediction, the spatial pyramid pooling convolutional neural network (SPP-CNN). The new framework installs a spatial pyramid pooling layer between the convolutional and fully-connected layers, overcoming the common mismatch issue in the CNN-based prediction approaches and extending its generalizability. Extensive experiments are carried out by comparing SPP-CNN with three state-of-the-art robustness predictors, namely a CNN-based and two graph neural networks-based frameworks. Synthetic and real-world networks, both directed and undirected, are investigated. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed SPP-CNN achieves better prediction performances and better generalizability to unknown datasets, with significantly lower time-consumption, than its counterparts. © 2023, CC BY.

Maximum power point tracking (MPPT) controllers achieve higher importance due to the high expansion rate of photovoltaic systems. The probability of partial shading conditions (PSCs) is also increased which drastically reduced the maximum power extraction capability from PV systems. In this paper, different types of MPPT algorithms using direct control method have been examined under the same test conditions. The current research trend on MPPT controllers has also been highlighted. This paper develops a deep learning-based system for the dimension measurement of industrial parts. The system employs a general self-supervised image segmentation network to perform dichotomous image segmentation (DIS) on the parts, effectively extracting binary images of the target components from complex backgrounds without requiring preprocessing steps such as filtering or denoising. Following segmentation, contour detection, and dimension measurement are executed. The system utilizes a CMOS area scan camera and was tested on a computer equipped with a GTX1050 graphics card. The tests, conducted on two typical thrust ball bearing components (i.e., the ball retainer and the shaft ring) - yielded ten measurements per part. Comparison with a vernier caliper as the reference standard reveals that under normal operating conditions, the maximum standard deviation is 0.007 mm and the maximum absolute error is 0.017 mm.
