Considering the problems of internal and external disturbances, i.e. time-varying load, inaccurate system model and external uncertainties etc., a compound control strategy based on model predictive control (MPC) and non-linear extended state observer (ESO) are proposed to attenuate the output voltage fluctuation under continuous conduction mode (CCM) mode of the buck circuits. In addition, a non-linear ESO is used to observe all kinds of uncertainties caused by internal and external disturbances and to eliminate their effects by compensating these disturbances in the feed-forward channel. Compared with the pure MPC control, the simulation results show that the proposed composite control method has the better disturbance suppression effect and also can effectively improve the stability of the buck circuit. © 2019 Institution of Engineering and Technology. Hierarchical Text classification has recently become increasingly challenging with the growing number of classification labels. In this paper, we propose a hierarchical fine-tuning based approach for hierarchical text classification. We use the ordered neurons LSTM (ONLSTM) model by combining the embedding of text and parent category for hierarchical text classification with a large number of categories, which makes full use of the connection between the upper-level and lower-level labels. Extensive experiments show that our model outperforms the state-of-the-art hierarchical model at a lower computation cost.

In the latest progress in healthcare, the continuous creation of digital medical information is an important basis for the analysis of large medical data. This paper proposes a medical big data analysis algorithm based on access control system that provides reliable security protection to big medical data (BMD) by considering various quantitative parameters. The proposed algorithm calculates the reputation values of different users, which correspond to each parameter. Based on the calculated reputation values, the proposed algorithm grants access authority to each user. Simulation results are performed to verify the effectiveness of security system solving protection of the sensitive personal information of patients. Copyright © 2018 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

A performance evaluation method for the combustion system in the variable load process of circulating fluidized bed (CFB) unit based on the minimum variance control is proposed. Each operating parameter are initially weighted according to the dynamic economic index of the operating parameters, and entropy weight method is used to adjust the weights of operating parameter under different operating conditions. Then, the minimum variance index based on comprehensive economic and entropy weight method is proposed to evaluate the performance of the combustion system of CFB unit, which reduces the polarization effect generated by the single weighting performance evaluation method and improves the objective scientificality of the operating parameter weighting. Finally, a case study on the combustion system of a 300MW CFB unit reveals that the minimum variance index based on the comprehensive economy and entropy weight method can better evaluate the performance of the combustion system in the dynamic process of the unit, compared with the traditional performance evaluation method. It is of great significance to the operational safety and economy of CFB boiler units.

Purpose Quantitative determination of the correlation between cognitive ability and functional biomarkers in the elderly brain is essential. To identify biomarkers associated with cognitive performance in the elderly, this study combined an index model specific for resting-state functional connectivity (FC) magnetic resonance imaging (fcMRI) with a supervised machine learning method. Methods Performance scores on conventional cognitive test batteries and MRI data were obtained for 98 healthy elderly individuals and 90 healthy youth from two public databases. Based on the test scores, the elderly cohort was categorized into two groups: excellent and poor. An fcMRI index model was constructed for each elderly individual to determine the relative differences in FC among brain regions compared with that in the youth cohort. Brain areas sensitive to test scores could then be identified using the fcMRI indexes. To confirm the effectiveness of constructed model, the fcMRI indexes of these brain areas were used as feature matrix inputs for training an extreme learning machine. Classification accuracy was then tested in separate groups and confirmed by N-fold cross-validation. Results This learning study could effectively classify the cognitive status of healthy elderly individuals according to frontal lobe, temporal lobe, and parietal lobe FC values with a mean accuracy of 83.5%, which is substantially higher than that achieved using conventional correlation analysis. Conclusion This fcMRI classification study may facilitate early detection of age-related cognitive decline as well as help reveal the underlying pathological mechanisms. © 2021, CC BY.

The paper deals with two nonlinear elliptic equations with (p, q)-Laplacian and the Dirichlet-Neumann-Dirichlet (DND) boundary conditions, and Dirichlet-Neumann-Neumann (DNN) boundary conditions, respectively. Under mild hypotheses, we prove the unique weak solvability of the elliptic mixed boundary value problems. Then, a comparison and a monotonicity results for the solutions of elliptic mixed boundary value problems are established. We examine a convergence result which shows that the solution of (DND) can be approached by the solution of (DNN). Moreover, two optimal control problems governed by (DND) and (DNN), respectively, are considered, and an existence result for optimal control problems is obtained. Rail transportation, especially, high-speed rails (HSR), is an important infrastructure for the development of national economy and the promotion of passenger experience. Due to the large bandwidth, millimeter wave (mmWave) communication is regarded as a promising technology to meet the demand of high data rates. However, since mmWave communication has the characteristic of high attenuation, mobile relay (MR) is considered in this paper. Also, full-duplex (FD) communications have been proposed to improve the spectral efficiency. However, because of the high speed, as well as the problem of penetration loss, passengers on the train have a poor quality of service. Consequently, an effective user association scheme for HSR in mmWave band is necessary. In this paper, we investigate the user association optimization problem in mmWave mobile relay systems where the MRs operate in the FD mode. To maximize the system capacity, we propose a cooperative user association approach based on coalition formation game, and develop a coalition formation algorithm to solve the challenging NP-hard problem. We also prove the convergence and Nash-stable property of the proposed algorithm. Extensive simulations are done to show the system performance of the proposed scheme under various network settings. It is demonstrated that the proposed distributed low complexity scheme achieves a near-optimal performance and outperforms two baseline schemes in terms of average system throughput. This paper describes the implementation of automatic generation control (AGC) and automatic voltage regulator (AVR) under generation rate constraint (GRC) and coupling between automatic generation control and automatic voltage regulator while considering generation rate constrain of two areas for improve and better performance characteristic of load frequency control (LFC) problem. our control aim has to normalize the area control error (ACE), frequency error and tie-line power error in spite of the presences of system uncertainties and external load disturbance, So that the required frequency and power interchange with adjacent structures are maintained in order to reduce the transient deviations and to provide zero steady state error in proper short time, the behavior of the planned is checked by MATLAB SIMULINK software.

In privacy-preserving machine learning, individual parties are reluctant to share their sensitive training data due to privacy concerns. Even the trained model parameters or prediction can pose serious privacy leakage. To address these problems, we demonstrate a generally applicable Distributed Privacy-Preserving Prediction (DPPP) framework, in which instead of sharing more sensitive data or model parameters, an untrusted aggregator combines only multiple models' predictions under provable privacy guarantee. Our framework integrates two main techniques to guarantee individual privacy. First, we introduce the improved Binomial Mechanism and Discrete Gaussian Mechanism to achieve distributed differential privacy. Second, we utilize homomorphic encryption to ensure that the aggregator learns nothing but the noisy aggregated prediction. Experimental results demonstrate that our framework has comparable performance to the non-private frameworks and delivers better results than the local differentially private framework and standalone framework.

In this paper, a sensitivity-analysis-based wind turbine optimization strategy is introduced to improve the power output stability while reducing the shaft and tower loads. Both generator torque and blade pitch are controlled coordinately to achieve the optimization. During the wind turbine control process, blade pitch and generator torque are controlled proportionally to the generator speed tracking error, which simplifies the controller structure, thus, the wind turbine performance can be evaluated with control variables sensitivities directly. The wind turbine performance is considered in output power stability, shaft bending moment and tower bending moment. Both load parameters are analysed in fatigue damage lifetime. A conflicting relationship is realized between the load-power characteristic during the optimization, and a global coordination solution is selected on the pareto optimal frontier. Essential, this work is an exploration for the quantitative analysis from the wind turbine load performance to the control variables sensitivities directly without the limitation of controller forms.
