This paper deals with the synthesis of fuzzy controller applied to the induction motor with a guaranteed model reference tracking performance. First, the Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model is used to approximate the nonlinear system in the synchronous d-q frame rotating with field-oriented control strategy. Then, a fuzzy state feedback controller is designed to reduce the tracking error by minimizing the disturbance level. The proposed controller is based on a T-S reference model in which the desired trajectory has been specified. The inaccessible rotor flux is estimated by a T-S fuzzy observer. The developed approach for the controller design is based on the synthesis of an augmented fuzzy model which regroups the model of induction machine, fuzzy observer, and reference model. The gains of the observer and controller are obtained by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, simulation and experimental results are given to show the performance of the observer-based tracking controller.

In this study, the consensus problem for a class of second-order multi-agent systems with nonuniform time delays is investigated. A linear consensus protocol is used to make all agents reach consensus and move with a constant velocity. By a frequency-domain analysis, a simplified sufficient condition is given to guarantee the consensus stability of the dynamic system. Finally, the effectiveness of the obtained theoretical results is illustrated through numerical simulations.

To deeply understand the emergence of cooperation in natural,social and economical systems,we present an improved fitness evaluation mechanism with memory in spatial prisoner's dilemma game on regular *** our model,the individual fitness is not only determined by the payoff in the current game round,but also by the payoffs in previous round bins.A tunable parameter,termed as the memory strength(μ),which lies between 0 and 1,is introduced into the model to regulate the ratio of payoffs of current and previous game rounds in the individual fitness *** μ = 0,our model is reduced to the standard prisoner's dilemma game;while μ = 1 represents the case in which the payoff is totally determined by the initial strategies and thus it is far from the realistic *** numerical simulations indicate that the memory effect can substantially promote the evolution of *** μ < 1,the stronger the memory effect,the higher the cooperation level,but μ = 1 leads to a pathological state of cooperation,but can partially enhance the cooperation in the very large temptation *** current results are of great significance for us to account for the role of memory effect during the evolution of cooperation among selfish players.

Fault diagnosis is a key issue of the CCBII(computercontrolled brake II) braking system, because the CCBII braking system is very complicated and nonlinear, which may exhibit isolated and multi-component coupled faults. A parity space-based method was proposed for fault diagnosis of CCBII braking systems. Firstly, the mathematical models were established according to three function modules of CCBII braking systems where the air fluid theory was utilized. Then, parity vector and threshold function were designed for each output of the system so as to identify more system faults. Fault character matrix was built based on the causal relationship between the output and the fault according to the system function and internal structure. Finally, fault detection and isolation can be realized by the comparison of the observed system output and the fault character matrix. Simulation results show that the proposed method is entirely feasible and effective.

This paper studies semi-global leader-following output consensus of a multi-agent system. Each follower agent in the system, described by a general linear system subject to external disturbances and actuator saturation, is to track the leader agent. Conditions on the agent dynamics are identified under which a low gain feedback based linear state control algorithm is constructed for each follower agent such that the leader-following output consensus is achieved when the communication topology among the agents is a directed graph that contains no loop and the leader is globally reachable. In addition, discussions and simulations are also provided for the output consensus in the presence of actuator saturation.

This paper addresses the problem of infinite time performance of model predictive controllers applied to constrained nonlinear systems. The total performance is compared with a finite horizon optimal cost to reveal performance limits of closed-loop model predictive controlsystems. Based on the Principle of Optimality, an upper and a lower bound of the ratio between the total performance and the finite horizon optimal cost are obtained explicitly expressed by the optimization horizon. The results also illustrate, from viewpoint of performance, how model predictive controllers approaches to infinite optimal controllers as the optimization horizon increases.

This paper is devoted to the consensus problem of the second-order multi-agent with leader and time-delays. By applying the frequency-domain method, some sufficient conditions for consensus of systems are given. And the upper bound of time-delays is deduced, which depends on the largest eigenvalue of the sum matrix of Laplacian matrix and the adjacency matrix between leader and followers. The distributed networked controlsystems are considered in this paper. Several sub-systems which are connected with each other through a communication network make up the whole system. Each sub-system has its own quantizer so that any information which needs be transmitted to other sub-systems will be quantized due to limited bandwidth. Meanwhile, the actuator faults, including outage, loss of effectiveness and stuck are also considered in our research. A mode-based state feedback controller is given in this paper to stable such NCSs and to meet the robust H-inf performance. A simulation example is proposed to illustrate the effectiveness of our method finally.

This paper deals with the finite-time stability and stabilization for continuous-time linear stochastic time-varying systems. Several necessary and sufficient conditions and a sufficient condition for finite-time stability are derived. Moreover,a sufficient condition for the existence of state feedback controller is given. In process monitoring, faults might be completely detected by or or both of them. However, one index rather than two indices is preferred to monitor a process in practice. The number of principal components (PCs) in principal component analysis (PCA) impacts the fault detection performance obviously. In this paper, we focus on developing a selection criterion for the number of the PCs based on the best detection performance of the combined index and discussing the uncertainty of PCA model through cross validation. The simulation demonstrates that one index has a good detection performance and simplifies the detection system.
