The paper is devoted to upper level control systems of NPP APCS (automated control systems of nuclear power plants). In the paper, a critical analysis of achievements in this area in the light of changes in the science, engineering, and society having taken places within the last 15 years is presented. Approaches to creating the new generation of upper level control systems for NPP APCS are considered. A description of new features of the next generation systems is proposed.

This paper presents a new optimization-based iterative learning control (ILC) framework for multiple-point tracking control. Conventionally, one demand prior to designing ILC algorithms for such problems is to build a reference trajectory that passes through all given points at given times. In this paper, we produce output curves that pass close to the desired points without considering the reference trajectory. Here, the control signals are generated by solving an optimal ILC problem with respect to the points. As such, the whole process becomes simpler;key advantages include significantly decreasing the computational cost and improving performance. Our work is then examined in both continuous and discrete systems.

Herein, Ttago-Coupled-Multiplex-digital-RPA-CRISPR/Cas12a (TCMDC) was proposed for the enrichment and multiplex detection of EGFR mutations. TCMDC realizes the fast enrichment of mutant nucleic acid templates by using Ttago to cut the wild-type template efficiently. The RPA-dual-crRNA Cas12a without need of PAM sequence realizes the universal one-tube RPA-Cas12a detection. Moreover, a multiplex digital PCR chip was developed and TCMDC was used to achieve absolute quantitative detection of multiplex EGFR mutations. As a mutation detection method, TCMDC not only has extremely high sensitivity (0.001%) and specificity, but also is very fast (1h), simple and convenient, which has versatility in point-of-care cancer diagnosis and precision medicine. © 2022 MicroTAS 2022 - 26th International Conference on Miniaturized systems for Chemistry and Life Sciences. The paper deals with the issues of ensuring the safety of objects in the intelligent transport environment (ITE). A general scheme and a symbolic description of implementing negative impacts (NI) in the ITE are presented. The concept of an integrated model for implementing NI in ITE, which is the basis for developing a safety monitor, is presented. For the complex model it is proposing the information and navigation model of the state and location of unmanned vehicles (UVs) in an intelligent transport (smart city) environment. The structure and the description of information and navigation elements (units and modules of the navigation subsystem) of the UVs, as well as a scheme of using data for local and global navigation in the UVs, are presented. The basic structural elements of information and navigation support of a smart city, types and layers of interaction, possible communication technologies and systems, and information support infrastructure are described. The synthesized information and navigation model for the UVs in the smart city environment is proposed.

Nowadays, industrial control systems are falling squarely under the Industry 4.0 dominant trends and technological challengers. In this, the problems associated with data, their processing and analysis happen to be particularly serious. Among all data issues, data flows, most commonly called traffic flows, cause a deep concern since they are crucial for the correct real-time system functioning, and the knowledge of their characteristics is decisive for the assessment of critical time performance measures such as delays in alarm presentation and control action transmission. In order to explore industrial control system traffic flows and to calculate time performance measures, a theory of deterministic queuing systems Network calculus is worth to be utilized. The article is devoted to industrial control system traffic flows and the Network calculus application to them. In particular, the approaches to estimating envelopes for traffic flows are considered. The concept of envelopes on finite intervals is introduced, and their linear model is expounded. The advantages of linear envelopes on finite intervals over classical minimal envelope are revealed, and the algorithm for their online calculation is analyzed. The basic features of typical traffic flows encountered in upper-level control systems of nuclear power plants are outlined, and the results of the investigation of their deterministic envelopes as well as statistical indicators are presented. Conclusions are drawn about the legitimacy and practical acceptability of using linear envelopes on finite intervals in the applications of industrial control systems.

The paper deals with the problem of input/output system identification in the light of selecting representative outputs of the system under study, accompanied with its application to the analysis of the nuclear power plant efficiency. Features of the approach are based on an extension of the Rényi axioms for measures of dependence to the case of the multivariate dependence and applying an information-theoretic measure of dependence originated from a symmetric Tsallis divergence of probabilistic distributions.

The paper considers the formal hierarchical model of the (cyber)security policy for Instrumentation and controls system (I&C) by use of an example of the digital upper unit level I&C system (UULS) of a nuclear power plant (NPP). Also in the paper we present a tool for fast prototyping and verification of the I&C security policy. The use case of the formal security model for the UULS security policy verification is presented and discussed. The relations and transfer of the access rights between the subjects and objects of the model are analyzed. The standard NPP UULS is characterized by the way of an example of the UULS developed at the Trapeznikov Institute of control Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

In this paper, we present an iterative learning control (ILC) algorithm to track specified desired multiple terminal points at given time instants. A framework to update the desired trajectories from given points is developed based on the interpolation technique. The approach shows better rate of convergence of the errors. The simulation with a satellite antenna control model is demonstrated to show the effectiveness of our approach.

In the police activities of any country, there are two major directions: identifying signs of crime preparation and preventing its commission (prediction), as well as crime prevention by eliminating the conditions for its commission (prevention). At the same time, various theories are explaining that the place and time of the crime occur at random, and when certain conditions are met for its commission, which depend on the type of crime and various factors of the objective side of the crime (place, time, mechanism of commission) and object of encroachment. Currently, a huge number of criminal events has been accumulated in the databases of law enforcement agencies over a long time (more than 20 years). These events occurred at a specific place (geolocation) and at a specific date and time. Considering a certain residential area as a closed system with processes taking place according to some laws, it can be assumed that criminal events also occur according to some hidden patterns. In modern science, some technologies enable identifying such hidden patterns in large data arrays - Data Mining. Identification of hidden patterns allows performing the function of predicting the commission of new criminal events in space and time. This article considers one of the technology approaches - Adaptive Matrix Model. As a result, we obtained a fairly simple and small model for crime prediction that produced promising experimental results. Ways to further improve accuracy are suggested.

Mycotoxins are widely co-contaminating agricultural products and their derivatives, and on-site monitoring of multiple mycotoxins remains a challenge. Here, we present a novel electrochemical aptasensor for the simultaneous detection of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) and deoxynivalenol (DON). The sensor is equipped with dual working electrode microelectrodes and comb-shaped polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) microfluidic chip, quantification of toxin concentrations using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) detection methods. Moreover, no additional modification of the signal amplification probes is required, and label-free detection of both toxins can be accomplished in less than 20 minutes, achieving limits of detection of 7.74 pg/mL for AFB1 and 0.172 ng/mL for DON. The sensor has demonstrated excellent specificity and stability in standard toxin solutions and example corn assays. In summary, this electrochemical aptasensor with an integrated comb-shaped microchannel offers the possibility of rapid and highly sensitive on-site detection of AFB1 and DON. © 2024, The Authors.
