A time-frequency diagram is a commonly used visualization for observing the time-frequency distribution of radio signals and analyzing their time-varying patterns of communication states in radio monitoring and management. While it excels when performing short-term signal analyses, it becomes inadaptable for long-term signal analyses because it cannot adequately depict signal time-varying patterns in a large time span on a space-limited screen. This research thus presents an abstract signal time-frequency (ASTF) diagram to address this problem. In the diagram design, a visual abstraction method is proposed to visually encode signal communication state changes in time slices. A time segmentation algorithm is proposed to divide a large time span into time slices. Three new quantified metrics and a loss function are defined to ensure the preservation of important time-varying information in the time segmentation. An algorithm performance experiment and a user study are conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the diagram for long-term signal analyses. Copyright © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

According to fractional order model, the governing equation of viscoelastic plate is established. Using the properties of the shifted Bernstein polynomials, the fractional order equation of viscoelastic plate is resolved, the conversion of fractional differential equations to algebraic equations, and operator matrices represented by Kronecker products are solved in the domain. The convergence study validates the algorithm's efficacy and precision in solving differential equations. The displacement of viscoelastic metal thin plate under different external loads (uniform distribution and linear distribution), the effect of white Gaussian noise on the thin metal plate displacement, the effect of different boundary conditions on thin metal plate displacement under harmonic load are studied, the displacements of metal and polymer plates under different loads are contrasted and stress and strain relationship of two kinds of plates are discussed. Based on the outcomes, it can be concluded that the shift Bernstein polynomial approach is useful for numerically simulating viscoelastic plates. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

This study improves a classifier of the support vector machine (SVM) by optimizing its parameters by adjusting cockroach swarm optimization (CSO). Classification system design includes data inputs, pre-process, and classification. The relief technique selects the feature subset, and the kernel parameters used as input for the system. The feature selection and classification of data sets were figured out by the combination of ICSO and SVM with its optimized parameters synchronous. Simulation results of the proposed scheme are compared with other systems, e.g., GA-SVM, PSO-SVM, and CSO-SVM, which show that the proposed project can achieve better classification accuracy than the different algorithms. It is promising that the proposed scheme can be applied to high-dimensional data classification, such as image classification, signal classification. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2021.

In the current generation, most individuals are facing many health problems even in the elderly stages and one of the severe touch is caused by to digestive system. Usually, the problems in the digestive system transpire due to improper innards that are present inside it. Even though many experts have described effective solutions to overcome such problems no proper outcomes are achieved. Therefore, the proposed method builds an appropriate device that detects the harmful contents in the entire digestive system which records and stores the data for a continuous period. Additionally, the designed device is incorporated with the neural network using five defined layers where the data is divided into mini segments. This type of data segmentation of input images will reduce the amount of loss in the system thus making the system to be operated at reduced cost. Further equal weights are allocated in the hidden layer using reduced control parameters thereby achieving concentrated attack at several periods. To analyze the effectiveness of neural networks parametric cases are performed and the results prove to be very effective in comparison cases for about 68 percentage. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.

There are more than 70 million people worldwide who suffer from stuttering problems. This will affect the confidence of public speaking in people who suffer from this issue. To solve this problem many people take therapy sessions but the therapy sessions are a temporary solution, as soon as they leave therapy sessions this problem might arise again. This work aims to use state of the art machine learning algorithms that have improved over the past few years to solve this problem. We have used the dataset from UCLASS archives which provide the data for stuttered speech *** format with time-aligned transcriptions. We have tried different algorithms and optimized our model by hyper parameter tuning to maximize the model's accuracy. The algorithm is tested on random speech data with low to heavy stuttering from the same dataset, and it is observed that there is significant reduction in the Word Error Rate(WER) for most of the test cases.

This work is concerned with the problem of computing of the reliability for multi-component systems given their dynamic fault trees. The recent literature provided satisfiability methods using the conjunctive normal form (CNF) of the structure function which is usually initially given under its disjunctive normal form (DNF) before using existing satisfiability (SAT) solvers. The conversion of the DNF of the structure function to its CNF is actually very costly. The main contribution of this paper is to propose an efficient method to compute the reliability polynomial using directly the DNF which is itself obtained efficiently from the dynamic fault tree. This involves the representation of logic functions by sets of three-level numeric tuples and the definition of logic operations adapted on these sets. The proposed method ensures polynomial complexity with respect to the number of nodes in the fault tree, the maximum number of inputs of the different logic gates being fixed. © 2023, The Authors. Acoustic echo suppression using speech uncertainty in modulation domain

Quality degradation of near-end speech in mobile communication or hands free devices is mainly due to acoustic echoes and background noises. The received far-end speech gets reflected from the obstacles present in the surroundings creating acoustic echo. All other disturbances from the near-end environment are considered as background noises. A novel acoustic echo suppression scheme using speech uncertainty in modulation domain (MD) is proposed in this paper. State of the art acoustic echo suppression systems are based on either time domain or frequency domain analysis. In recent times, the modulation domain analysis is popularly used in speech processing, as it captures the human perceptual properties. Modulation domain provides the temporal variation of the acoustic magnitude spectra which acts as an information bearing signal. In this paper, a new method is developed and implemented to model the echo path and estimate the echo in modulation domain. Echo cancellation is done effectively by manipulating the modulation spectrum and employing speech uncertainty. In this method, the microphone input is modelled as a binary hypothesis process and the gain function is modified accordingly. The proposed method shows better performance as compared to other competitive methods for acoustic echo suppression with no audible degradation in the near-end speech. © 2021, CC BY.

Fast identifying the amount of information that can be gained by measuring a network via shortest-paths is one of the fundamental problem for networks exploration and ***,the existing methods are time-consuming for even moderate-scale *** this paper,we present a method for fast shortest-path cover identification in both exact and approximate scenarios based on the relationship between the identification and the shortest distance *** effectiveness of the proposed method is validated through synthetic and real-world *** experimental results show that our method is 105 times faster than the existing methods and can solve the shortest-path cover identification in a few seconds for large-scale networks with millions of nodes and edges.

To a large extent, the performance of wireless optical communication system is affected by the light source radiation characteristics. Previous works are limited to rotationally symmetric Lambertian beam configurations, which fail to support target location oriented coordinated coverage. Different from the existing research, this paper proposes a coordinated coverage enhancement scheme based on asymmetric non-Lambertian optical beam configuration. Without loss of generality, this paper presents numerical analysis of coordinated and non-coordinated coverage performance in typical medium-sized indoor application scenario. Compared with non-coordinated coverage, the numerical results illustrate that the proposed coordinated coverage scheme could introduce about 4.08 dB SNR gain without transmission power increase. Therefore, non-Lambertian beam cooperation should be viewed as one efficient wireless optical communication technology. © 2021 IEEE.

With the growth of space-borne SAR echo data, the pressure on satellite to ground data transmission is increasing. Therefore, real-time imaging processing of space-borne SAR on-orbit becomes an urgent need. A data processing method of distributed embedded GPU based on Chirp Scaling (CS) imaging algorithm is proposed in this paper. We use multiple embedded GPUs to process large-scale space-borne SAR data jointly. Unified Memory is used to allocate memory to reduce data transmission between the CPU and GPU, and the allocated memory is reused to solve the limited computing resources of a single embedded GPU. In addition, CUDA streams are used to overlap data transmission and data processing time to reduce communication delays between embedded GPUs. The distributed processing method proposed in this paper can effectively reduce a single satellite's computing and storage resources and improve the full-orbit utilization of a single satellite. Multiple NVIDIA Jetson Nanos are used to build the simulation system, and the system's feasibility was verified.
