In this paper, we establish a novel bimodal emotion database from physiological signals and facial expression, which is named as PSFE. The physiological signals and facial expression of the PSFE database are respectively recorded by the equipment of the BIOPAC MP 150 and the Kinect for Windows in the meantime. The PSFE database altogether records 32 subjects which include 11 women and 21 man, and their age distribution is from 20 to 25. Moreover, the PSFE database records three basic emotion classes containing calmness, happiness and sadness, which respectively correspond to the neutral, positive and negative emotion state. The general sample number of the PSFE database is 288 and each emotion class contains 96 samples. © Copyright 2018 The institute of Electronics Information and Communication Engineers.

In this paper,our proposed scheme using two steganography *** other data hiding schemes,this scheme studies the characteristics of the Tangram puzzle model and the secret message bytes that make up the eight binary bits that are hidden into the two *** matrix M *,horizontal and vertical coordinate range from 0 to 255,and the pixel pairs in the cover image are used to help hide the secret message bytes in our *** paired pixel points into single and double number hidden in two *** show that the program can hide relatively more pixels in a cover image with less losing image quality.

A distinctive data hiding method based on Jigsaw Sudoku is proposed in this *** from other methods,the proposed method is based on Jigsaw Sudoku which is a kind of irregularly shaped *** to the novelty of Jigsaw Sudoku,the proposed method can provide a safer scheme for data hiding than that with pure *** proposed method can hide a certain number of 9-ary numbers in a steganographic image which has a corresponding *** a 256*256 key matrix stretched from a size 9*9 Jigsaw Sudoku,secret message can be hidden in a vector image byte by byte in the form of *** results show that,the proposed method has a better peaksignal-to-noise-ratio(PSNR) compared with some other data hiding methods.

Parametric down-conversion（PDC） sources play an important role in quantum information processing, therefore characterizing their properties is necessary. Here we present a statistical model to assess the properties of the PDC source with certain distribution, such as the brightness and photon channel transmissions, we only need to measure the singles and coincidences counts in a few seconds. Furthermore, we validate the model by applying it to a PDC source generating highly non-degenerate photon pairs. The results of the experiment indicate that our method is more simple, efficient, and less time consuming.

An optimum strategy of reference emitter placement for dual-satellite time difference of arrival (TDOA) and frequency difference of arrival (FDOA) localization based on particle swarm optimization is proposed to improve localization accuracy. Firstly Cramer-Rao lower bound (CRLR) of dual-satellite TDOA and FDOA localization system with ephemeris error and system error is derived. Then, the optimum strategy of reference emitter placement is transformed to multidimensional constraint optimization problem by using CRLB as the criterion for performance of dual-satellite TDOA and FDOA localization system. Finally, optimum strategy of reference emitter placement is obtained by using particle swarm optimization (PSO) to solve the target function. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method can derive optimum strategy of reference emitter placement validly. Besides, when the optimum strategy of reference emitter placement is applied, only two reference emitters are demanded to eliminate the effect of ephemeris error and system error on localization accuracy.

Mounting evidence suggests that distinct microbial communities reside in tumors and play important roles in tumor physiology. Recently, Nejman et al. profiled the composition and localization of intratumoral bacteria using 16S DNA sequencing and histological visualization methods across seven tumor types, including human glioblastoma. However, considering potential contamination in their sample origins and processing, the results based on traditional histological methods need to be validated. Here, we propose a three-dimensional (3D) intratumoral microbiota visualization and quantification protocol to observe microbiota in intact tumor tissues on the premise of avoiding possible contamination in the surface of tissues, based on tissue clearing, immunofluorescent labeling, microscopy imaging, and image processing. For the first time, we have achieved 3D quantitative imaging of bacterial LPS fluorescent signals deep in gliomas in a contamination-free manner, which was founded mostly localized near nuclear membranes or in the intercellular space. Through an automated statistical algorithm, reliable signals can be distinguished for further analysis of their sizes, distribution, and fluorescence intensities. Combining two-dimensional images from multiple thin-section histological methods, including immunochemistry and fluorescence in situ hybridization, we provide a comprehensive histological investigation of the morphology and distribution of these signals on human glioma samples. We expect that this multi-evidence chain will provide supporting proof for the presence of intratumoral bacteria in human glioma and that the integrated pipeline can be applied to investigate the native bacteria within diverse tumors and contribute to the interpretation of their direct roles in the tumor microenvironment. © 2021, CC BY.

It was reported that cancer cells could biologically respond and adapt to the confined environment during migration in extracellular matrix (ECM). But it is not clearly studied that how cancer cells respond and adapt to confined environment in mechanical way. Thus, in this study, we designed and fabricated a kind of one-layer micro channel to mimic confined environment for analyzing mechanical adaption of cell. This micro channel could apply sequential mechanical stresses on a number of cells with high throughput, and the time of cells passing through five rows of micro channels were used to evaluate their adaptability to the sequential and confined space. In experiments, each cell suffered 20 times of mechanical stresses after passing through 20 squeezing channels arranged in 5 rows. We observed the sequential squeezing processes under microscope and investigated the passing time using a high-speed camera. The preliminary results indicated that cancer cells could pass through and adapt to the confined environment faster than normal cells.

Rehabilitation of the grasp function of hands is critical for improving the quality of living for those who suffer from lost or weakened hand abilities due to neuromuscular disease. Current finger rehabilitation devices usually need a complex mechanical structure or a larger actuation system, which reduce the portability of the devices for daily living rehabilitation. In this work, we introduced the developing an ultra-light integrated modular finger exoskeleton that driven by a crank-rocker mechanism. The actuator for each joint is directly assembled at each joint by simplifying the structure design, which makes the device portable for patients. All of the parts are manufactured by 3D printing thus to reduce the initial moment of the whole device, the actuator we used is also the ultra-light server motor. The weight of the whole device is just about 60g (including 3 actuators). We analysised the kinematic of the exoskeleton, then a real-Time embedded position tracking control algorithm is implemented on an Arduino board, which is used as the controller. Experimental results show that our device is capable of both positive and active training for finger habilitation. © 2018 IEEE.

Due to the limitations of hyperspectral imaging systems, hyperspectral imagery (HSI) often suffers from poor spatial resolution, thus hampering many applications of the imagery. Hyperspectral super-resolution refers to fusing HSI and MSI to generate an image with both high spatial and high spectral resolutions. Recently, several new methods have been proposed to solve this fusion problem, and most of these methods assume that the prior information of the Point Spread Function (PSF) and Spectral Response Function (SRF) are known. However, in practice, this information is often limited or unavailable. In this work, an unsupervised deep learning based fusion method HyCoNet that can solve the problems in HSIMSI fusion without the prior PSF and SRF information is proposed. HyCoNet consists of three coupled autoencoder nets in which the HSI and MSI are unmixed into endmembers and abundances based on the linear unmixing model. Two special convolutional layers are designed to act as a bridge that coordinates with the three autoencoder nets, and the PSF and SRF parameters are learned adaptively in the two convolution layers during the training process. Furthermore, driven by the joint loss function, the proposed method is straightforward and easily implemented in an end-to-end training manner. The experiments performed in the study demonstrate that the proposed method performs well and produces robust results for different datasets and arbitrary PSFs and SRFs.
