A low-profile circularly polarized Metasurfaces antenna based on compact coplanar waveguide (CPW) feed was proposed. The Metasurfaces consists of 16 periodic square-cut metal patches. An hourglass coupled slot was adopted to achieve broadband impedance matching. The antenna has a simple structure and a low cross section, and it can be implemented by a layer of a printed circuit substrate. A circular polarized wave is generated by changing the size of the cut angle of the Metasurfaces, and at the same time, the impedance bandwidth can be widened. To verify the simulation results, a 1λ 0 ×1λ 0 ×0.05λ 0 (at 10 GHz) model antenna was fabricated and measured. The simulation and measurement results show good consistency. The test results show that the -10dB return loss bandwidth reaches 45.3 %, and the circular polarization axis ratio(AR) is less than 3dB with a bandwidth of 18.5%.

This paper proposes a dual-band antenna based on the electromagnetic band gap structure suitable for WLAN communication systems. The proposed antenna is designed to work at 2.45/5.8 GHz WLAN band. By loading the EBG structure directly below a dual-frequency monopole antenna, the in-phase superposition of electromagnetic waves at the center frequency of the antenna is achieved. The antenna exhibits high gains of near 8.0 and 12.0 dB at the low and high working frequencies while maintaining the low profile characteristics.

A hybrid twelve-antenna array operating in the 3.3-3.6 GHz and 4.8-5.0 GHz band for multiple input multiple output (MIMO) applications in 5G smartphones is proposed. The proposed hybrid antenna array elements are symmetrically placed along the long edges of the smartphone, and they are composed of two inverted-F antennas (IFA) with different structural parameters. Simulated antenna isolation is better than -14.5 dB without any decoupling structures. Moreover, simulated radiation patterns, antenna efficiencies, and envelop correlation coefficients are also given in the paper.

Converting whisper to normal vocalized speech has been a hot research topic in speech signal processing area. A complete and large scale whisper database is a major basis for this task. In this paper, we propose a multimodal whisper database in Chinese mandarin. A total of 103 syllables and 100 sentences were carefully selected. 5 male and 5 female participants pronounced the syllables and sentences in whisper and normal styles respectively, result in 4096 parallel speech utterances and 263, 849 frames of voicing face and lip image sequences. The beginning and ending sample point of each syllable were labeled both for speech signal and voicing face video. The lip region of interest were also extracted and provided in the proposed database. Experiments in various speech conversion tasks in different speech database show the effectiveness of the proposed multimodal whisper speech database. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd. All rights reserved.

Distributed compressed sensing theory is applied to many practical problems,ECG signal,color imaging,*** order to improve the reconstruction accuracy of multi-dimensional signals,this paper applies singular value decomposition to the multi-measure vector problem in DCS,then distributed compressed sensing reconstruction method based on singular value decomposition is *** method can achieve row orthogonality of the measurement matrix and does not affect the design of the reconstruction *** experiments verify the effectiveness of the proposed method,which can significantly improve the reconstruction quality of the signal and the robustness to noise.

The multilevel characteristic basis function method(MLCBFM)with the adaptive cross approximation(ACA)algorithm for accelerated solution of electrically large scattering problems is studied in this *** the conventional MLCBFM based on Foldy-Lax multiple scattering equations,the improvement is only made in the generation of characteristic basis functions(CBFs).However,it does not provide a change in impedance matrix filling and reducing matrix calculation procedure,which is *** reality,all the impedance and reduced matrix of each level of the MLCBFM have low-rank property and can be calculated ***,ACA is used for the efficient generation of two-level CBFs and the fast calculation of reduced matrix in this *** results are given to demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the method.

Quantum emitters are a key component in photonic quantum technologies. Enhancing their single-photon emission by engineering the photonic environment using cavities can improve the overall efficiency in quantum information processing. However, this enhancement is often limited by the need for precise nanoscale control over emitter’s position within micro/nano-cavities. Inspired by the fascinated physics of moiré pattern, we present an approach to strongly modify the spontaneous emission rate of a quantum emitter using fine-designed multilayer moiré photonic crystal with a robust isolate-flatband dispersion. Theoretical analysis reveals that due to its nearly infinite photonic density of states, the moiré cavity can simultaneously possess high Purcell factor and large tolerance over emitter’s position. We experimentally demonstrate the coupling between this moiré cavity and a quantum dot via the cavity-determined polarization of the dot’s emission. The radiative lifetime of the quantum dot can be tuned by a factor of 40 from 42 ps to 1692 ps, attributed to strong Purcell enhancement and Purcell inhibition effects. Our findings pave the way for moiré flatband cavity-enhanced quantum light sources, quantum optical switches and quantum nodes for quantum internet. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. In this paper, we propose a method of enhancing whisper, using whisper without any pretreatment combined with Wavenet. Our method is end-to-end, that is, inputing noised whisper to get clean whisper. The input to our method is the original whisper without any processing, reducing the loss of features caused by other operations. We use speech denoising Wavenet to enhance whisper. Wavenet can not only enhance whisper well, but also tackle the issue of intelligibility. Specifically, use symmetric dilated convolution to obtain noisy speech context, help the model to enhance the speech for better denoising effect. Experimental results show that the enchanced whisper gains better performance both in the aspect of speech quality and intelligibility.

Real-time monitoring of meteorological conditions has been arousing increasing attention in current production and life. However, considering the challenges of deployment costs and demand for low power consumption, existing monitoring system needs to be improved to meet the requirements of new Internet-of-Things (IoT) applications. Therefore, a wireless sensor network system dedicated for meteorological monitoring is studied based on Long Range (LoRa) in this paper. Firstly, our meteorological monitoring system is designed for real-time services such as agricultural production demand. Then, the implementation of the proposed system is presented in detail as well as the prototype system is deployed on the campus. Finally, various experiments are conducted to provide the results for demonstrating the reliability and effectiveness of the proposed system.
