A modified iterative algorithm for solving split equality problems

In this paper, we investigate the split equality problems in Hilbert spaces. We propose an iterative algorithm with self-adaptive step-size for solving split equality prob-lems. CacheAlarm: Monitoring Sensitive Behaviors of Android Apps Using Cache Side Channel

Malware attack has been a serious threat to the security and privacy of both individual and corporation users of the Android platform. Business entities seek to protect themselves by means of monitoring privacy-related sensitive behaviors conducted on company-issued Android devices. However, due to Android's own access control and privacy protection policies, this is difficult to be done with third-party apps using only normal privileges. Existing works proposed using side-channel readings from leaky APIs and system virtual files to speculate runtime app behaviors, which could be unreliable due to future system updates (that ban exploited resources), hardware jittering, etc. In this paper, we argue that a more traditional side-channel attack strategy, namely the CPU-cache-based side channel, could be exploited in the benign scenario of app behavior surveillance. Specifically, we propose CacheAlarm, a sensitive app behavior monitor and foreground app identification system, which works by measuring cache side-channel readings of selected methods within the Android framework, and conducted in-lab and in-the-wild user studies to compare the effectiveness of our scheme against SideNet, a previous Android app behavior surveillance scheme using API-based side channels. Results of the studies suggested that CacheAlarm outperforms SideNet on the accuracy of detecting sensitive behaviors in addition to gaining the capability of detecting apps running at foreground of the user device. © 2025 IEEE. There are some defects on the surface of steel that are difficult to detect, so we propose an improved algorithm based on YOLOv8 for detecting defects that are difficult to be detected. This improvement includes the introduction of an SPD module to minimize the problem of information loss due to downsampling; the addition of a small object detection head combined with EMA attention to further enhance the detection capabilities for small targets; the use of BiFPN to replace the original PANet, applying different weights to different features to strengthen feature fusion. Experiments were conducted on the NEU-DET dataset, and the algorithm improved mAP to 80.2%, an improvement of 3.9% over the baseline model.

In social networks, the discovery of community structures has received considerable attention as a fundamental problem in various network analysis tasks. However, due to privacy concerns or access restrictions, the network structure is often uncertain, thereby rendering established community detection approaches ineffective without costly network topology acquisition. To tackle this challenge, we present META-CODE, a unified framework for detecting overlapping communities via exploratory learning aided by easy-to-collect node metadata when networks are topologically unknown (or only partially known). Specifically, META-CODE consists of three iterative steps in addition to the initial network inference step: 1) node-level community-affiliation embeddings based on graph neural networks (GNNs) trained by our new reconstruction loss, 2) network exploration via community-affiliation-based node queries, and 3) network inference using an edge connectivity-based Siamese neural network model from the explored network. Through extensive experiments on three real-world datasets including two large networks, we demonstrate: (a) the superiority of META-CODE over benchmark community detection methods, achieving remarkable gains up to 65.55% on the Facebook dataset over the best competitor among our selected competitive methods in terms of normalized mutual information (NMI), (b) the impact of each module in META-CODE, (c) the effectiveness of node queries in META-CODE based on empirical evaluations and theoretical findings, and (d) the convergence of the inferred network. © 2013 IEEE.

The security of the dynamic heterogeneous redundancy(DHR) architecture relies on the heterogeneity of its executors, which also defines the vulnerability of the mimic system. In order to select executors with reliable and significant dissimilarity as service executors, we propose a DHR executor selection algorithm based on historical credibility and dissimilarity clustering(HCDC), which adds two metrics of executor historical credibility and dissimilarity. First, to maximize the difference between heterogeneous executor pools,clustering is performed based on the dissimilarity of the executor. Second, the executor with the highest historical credibility is selected from the heterogeneous executor pool as the candidate pool. The historical credibility is dynamically updated by the negative feedback control based on the results of the multi-mode adjudicator. Finally, the dynamic scheduling algorithm selects the executors from the candidate pool to form the set of service executors. The simulation results demonstrate that, in comparison to existing methods,the algorithm reduces the attack success rate and average failure rate while increasing system reliability.

Based on the equivalent circuit model of PIN diode and the full wave simulation method of CST software, the system performance of finite large energy selective surface (ESS) is simulated and analyzed when the number of cells is small. The simulation results show that the working performance of ESS will be degraded by the slight surface deformation caused by external force but not fail completely. Therefore, in the practical application of ESS, attention should be paid to avoid deformation caused by external force extrusion, which will reduce the shielding performance of ESS. The simulation results provide reference value for the practical design and application of energy selective surface.

Completing the docking between two multi-rotor unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the air has great significance for expanding the application scenarios of multiple UAVs and improving their endurance capability. In this regard, this paper first designs a safe and autonomous docking scheme and constructs a sub-mother UAV *** address the issue of unstable flight in downwash airflow, this paper designs a high-performance control method suitable for the sub-mother UAV system based on Incremental Nonlinear Dynamic Inversion (INDI) and achieves robust attitude control with strong disturbance rejection capability. A UWB-based Ortho-UWB 3D positioning method is proposed in this paper with orthogonal installation, which, after being integrated with visual methods, enables high-precision 3D relative positioning during the docking process of the sub-mother UAV ***, the paper designs a complete docking process for the sub-mother UAVs and incorporates safety constraints into the docking process to ensure the safety of the docking process for both UAVs. Experiments of successfully docking the sub UAV to the mother UAV from bottom to top prove the feasibility and effectiveness of this scheme. © 2024 IEEE.

Large language models (LLMs) have shown promising efficacy across various tasks, becoming powerful tools in numerous aspects of human life. However, Transformer-based LLMs suffer a performance degradation when modeling long-term contexts due to they discard some information to reduce computational overhead. In this work, we propose a simple yet effective method to enable LLMs to take a deep breath, encouraging them to summarize information contained within discrete text chunks. Specifically, we segment the text into multiple chunks and insert special token at the end of each chunk. We then modify the attention mask to integrate the chunk's information into the corresponding token. This facilitates LLMs to interpret information not only from historical individual tokens but also from the token, aggregating the chunk's semantic information. Experiments on language modeling and out-of-domain downstream tasks validate the superiority of our approach. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

With the proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, the scale of networks is growing exponentially. However, dynamically meeting the diverse quality of service (QoS) routing requirements for users and services in large-scale networks remains a critical challenge. To address this issue, this paper proposes a Service-Driven Dynamic QoS On-Demand model and establishes a corresponding QoS optimization objective function. The SHA-256 hash algorithm is utilized to simplify the large-scale network model, effectively reducing the number of Segment Routing (SR) nodes. The proposed Service-Driven Dynamic QoS On-Demand Routing Algorithm (SDDRL) identifies the optimal path, which is then uniformly disseminated by the SDN controller, thereby addressing existing challenges in SDN-IoT networks. Compared to OSPF-based and DDQN-based algorithms, the SDDRL algorithm reduces the average delay by 53.85\% and 31.63\%, respectively. The proposed algorithm improves the average network congestion degree and route calculation time compared to other existing algorithms, and it demonstrates superior performance in handling complex tasks. © 2024, The Authors.
