Task-oriented dialogue systems (TOD) aim to help users complete specific tasks through multiple rounds of dialogue, in which Dialogue State Tracking (DST) is a key component. The training of DST models typically necessitates the availability of a substantial corpus of dialogue data with turn-level annotations. However, the collection of such data is both costly and inefficient. Despite the impressive performance of systems based on advanced large language models (LLMs), their closed-source nature restricts the potential for local deployment. To address this challenge, this paper proposes a new zero-shot slot-aware enhanced model (SAE), which introduces a novel coded prompting framework to enhance the DST capability of small parameter models in new domains and task scenarios. In particular, we have devised a prompting framework that employs code to refine task instructions. Furthermore, we have proposed a slot-aware question generation mechanism that generates slot-aware questions based on contextual details in accordance with the dialogue context, thereby enhancing the model's perception and matching capabilities for slots. In order to verify the effectiveness of the model, we conducted experiments on the MultiWOZ dataset. The results show that the SAE model has achieved significant performance improvements in zero-shot DST tasks.

Aiming at the problem that reprojection error (RE) cannot reflect the camera calibration accuracy intuitively, this paper proposes a method to verify the camera calibration results in world coordinate system. Firstly, the checkerboard calibration target is photographed with the camera under test, and the internal parameters and distortion parameters of the camera are calculated by using the pinhole model and the Kannala-Brandt (KB) fisheye model, respectively. Then, the same camera is used to shoot two targets in the field of view (FOV), and the pixel coordinates of the two target points are detected from the image. Thirdly, the inverse projection model is used to calculate the distance between the two objects and the angle between the camera and the two objects, and the real distance and angle are compared. The experimental results show that the average distance errors of the pinhole model and the KB fisheye model are 0.34% and 0.35%, respectively, and the angle errors are 0.40% and 0.12%, respectively, which proves that the verification method can effectively characterize the calibration accuracy of the camera. © 2023 IEEE.

As the largest class of small non-coding RNAs, piRNAs primarily present in the reproductive cells of mammals, which influence post-transcriptional processes of mRNAs in multiple ways. Effective methods for predicting piRNA and mRNA target relationships can help identify piRNA functions, investigate the possibility of piRNAs as biomarkers and therapeutic targets. In this study, we propose a computational approach for classifying the relationships of piRNA-mRNA pairs based on an interactive inference network (IIN). First, we gather piRNA-mRNA target data, collect sequence data by position alignment, and construct a benchmark dataset. Furthermore, a reliable negative set is constructed by positive-unlabeled learning. Finally, we view a piRNA and a mRNA sequence as a premise and hypothesis sentence, respectively, and IIN model is used to predict the relationship between them. The experiments demonstrate that our method effectively characterizes piRNA-mRNA interaction and could be beneficial for researchers to investigate piRNA functions. © 2023 IEEE.

A framework for Chinese event semantic constraint predicates and their generation using PEFT LLM and RAG

Event semantic analysis is a crucial area of research in natural language processing. It focuses on deeply understanding the semantics of events and their components. While existing semantic frameworks and event semantic labelling cover a wealth of semantic information, further research is needed to explore the fine-grained semantic relationships across participants in different events. To address this problem, we construct a head–tail event semantic constraint predicate framework that relates the complex semantics between different event components. However, considering the large-scale data, an automated method for generating constraint predicates is essential. Therefore, we combine parameter-efficient fine-tuning (PEFT) of large language models (LLMs) with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) technologies. Specifically, this paper makes four significant contributions. Firstly, we construct a detailed framework of head–tail events semantic constraint predicates by combining manual definitions with the GPT-4o model. The framework includes 117 types of constraint predicates between head–tail events. Secondly, based on this framework, we annotate a dataset of head–tail events semantic constraint predicates and apply it to PEFT LLMs. Thirdly, we use PEFT LLMs prediction error data to construct an event knowledge base covering event entities, semantic roles, and entity types. Fourth, using the event knowledge base, the PEFT LLMs integrate the dual RAG techniques of keywords and vectors to improve the accuracy of generating the constraint predicates. Experimental results show that the method outperforms the baselines, achieving a precision of 97.18% and recall of 97.39%. This research fills the gap in semantic relationships between components across events and provides a novel approach for complex semantic generation tasks. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2025.

IOTA (Internet of Things Applications) protocol aims to provide a secure and trustworthy protocol for realizing data-value interactions between IoT devices, and it has become the next possible direction for the development of Blockchain applications. IOTA protocol has the problem that the time-consuming cumulative weight update grows too fast with the increase of the number of transactions, this paper proposed an improved IOTA protocol based on optimal midway walk, the improved protocol uses cutting-edge transaction selection algorithm of weighted Monte Carlo Markov random walk to reduce cumulative weight update delay. Firstly, this improved IOTA protocol mainly ensures the efficiency of transaction confirmation without losing the security of consensus by introducing the optimal midway walk method, i.e., the starting point of each walk is chosen to depart at an optimal location. Secondly, this paper designs the indirect verification identity record algorithm and the layer degree of confirmation principle are designed to realize the improved IOTA protocol's resilience and resistance to Parasite chain attack. The experimental results show that the improved IOTA using random function to select the midway walk starting point from i-50λ, to i-75λsubstantially solves the system computational burden problem and greatly reduces the cumulative weight update delay. © 2023 IEEE.

In order to explore the impact of pipe diameter, bend-diameter ratio and bend angle on the erosion of slurry pipe, a numerical simulation method approach grounded in Computational Fluid Dynamics-Dense Discrete Phase Model(CFD-DDPM)is proposed. Firstly, the geometric models of bends with different pipe diameters, bend-diameter ratios, and bend angles are constructed;secondly, the slurry pipe erosion model based on Dense Discrete Phase Model(DDPM) is constructed;then, model validation is conducted on the slurry pipe erosion model to affirm the accuracy of the model;finally, the computational fluid dynamics method is employed to simulate the erosion and wear behavior of the pipeline, to investigate the impact of pipe diameter, bend-diameter ratio and bend angle on the erosion and wear of the slurry pipeline. At the same time, gray correlation analysis was also used to analyze the significant relationship between the three pipeline factors and erosion and wear. The results show that the main erosion area is not determined, with the change of the pipeline parameters, the most serious erosion area will move;the effect of different pipeline parameter variations on the erosion rate is different, in which the pipe diameter of the largest impact, the second largest bend-diameter ratio, the smallest impact of the bend angle. Therefore, in the design of slurry pipeline, should first consider the influence of pipe diameter factors.

In order to reduce the limitations of obtaining yak body size parameters by traditional two-dimensional images, such as measurement parameters limitations, measurement errors, the experimental method based on 3D point cloud and support vector machine SVM is used to obtain yak body size and weight information quickly and accurately. The yak side point cloud is collected based on the depth camera RealSense D435i. With the help of point cloud preprocessing and geometric features, the yak body size measurement points are extracted, and the yak body size parameters are calculated and the weight estimation is completed. The results show that, compared with the results of manual measurement, the mean absolute percentage error of yak body height is 2.06%, the mean absolute percentage error of body oblique length is 1.71%, and the mean absolute percentage error of chest circumference is 4.22%. The overall error is small. The yak weight estimation model based on support vector machine SVM is studied, and the mean absolute percentage error of the model is 4.6%, which proves the feasibility of this research method. It shows that the method of yak body size measurement and weight estimation based on 3D point cloud can meet the requirements of contactless automatic measurement of yak, save time and labor costs, and make Qinghai yak industry more intelligent and professional. © 2024 IEEE.

Stereo matching provides depth estimation from binocular images for downstream applications. These applications mostly take video streams as input and require temporally consistent depth maps. However, existing methods mainly focus on the estimation at the single-frame level. This commonly leads to temporally inconsistent results, especially in ill-posed regions. In this paper, we aim to leverage temporal information to improve the temporal consistency, accuracy, and efficiency of stereo matching. To achieve this, we formulate video stereo matching as a process of temporal disparity completion followed by continuous iterative refinements. Specifically, we first project the disparity of the previous timestamp to the current viewpoint, obtaining a semi-dense disparity map. Then, we complete this map through a disparity completion module to obtain a well-initialized disparity map. The state features from the current completion module and from the past refinement are fused together, providing a temporally coherent state for subsequent refinement. Based on this coherent state, we introduce a dual-space refinement module to iteratively refine the initialized result in both disparity and disparity gradient spaces, improving estimations in ill-posed regions. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method effectively alleviates temporal inconsistency while enhancing both accuracy and efficiency. Currently, our method ranks second on the KITTI 2015 benchmark, while achieving superior efficiency compared to other state-of-the-art methods. Existing methods for modeling recommendation systems based on knowledge graphs include embedding-based, pathbased, and propagation-based methods. The embedding-based approach is flexible but more suitable for intra-graph applications, the path-based approach can model complex relationships but has a high computational cost, and the propagation-based approach considers global information but may introduce noise. This study proposed a simple and efficient model, called SEKGAT, which comprehensive the ideology of path-based and propagation approach to personalized recommendation by aggregating the user preferences through graph attention mechanism and fusing multiple feature representations on the knowledge graph into item features through pooling aggregators. Experimental results for the CTR prediction and Top-K recommendation tasks on three datasets of real-world scenarios show that our model approach is competitive. © 2023 IEEE.

Compositional generalization is the capability of a model to understand novel compositions composed of seen concepts. There are multiple levels of novel compositions including phrase-phrase level, phrase-word level, and word-word level. Existing methods achieve promising compositional generalization, but the consistency of compositional generalization across multiple levels of novel compositions remains unexplored. The consistency refers to that a model should generalize to a phrase-phrase level novel composition, and phrase-word/word-word level novel compositions that can be derived from it simultaneously. In this paper, we propose a meta-learning based framework, for achieving consistent compositional generalization across multiple levels. The basic idea is to progressively learn compositions from simple to complex for consistency. Specifically, we divide the original training set into multiple validation sets based on compositional complexity, and introduce multiple meta-weight-nets to generate sample weights for samples in different validation sets. To fit the validation sets in order of increasing compositional complexity, we optimize the parameters of each meta-weight-net independently and sequentially in a multilevel optimization manner. We build a GQA-CCG dataset to quantitatively evaluate the consistency. Experimental results on visual question answering and temporal video grounding, demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed framework. © 2025, Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (***).
