Sequential pattern mining (SPM) with gap constraints (or repetitive SPM or tandem repeat discovery in bioinformatics) can find frequent repetitive subsequences satisfying gap constraints, which are called positive sequential patterns with gap constraints (PSPGs). However, classical SPM with gap constraints cannot find the frequent missing items in the PSPGs. To tackle this issue, this paper explores negative sequential patterns with gap constraints (NSPGs). We propose an efficient NSPG-Miner algorithm that can mine both frequent PSPGs and NSPGs simultaneously. To effectively reduce candidate patterns, we propose a pattern join strategy with negative patterns which can generate both positive and negative candidate patterns at the same time. To calculate the support (frequency of occurrence) of a pattern in each sequence, we explore a NegPair algorithm that employs a key-value pair array structure to deal with the gap constraints and the negative items simultaneously and can avoid redundant rescanning of the original sequence, thus improving the efficiency of the algorithm. To report the performance of NSPG-Miner, 11 competitive algorithms and 11 datasets are employed. The experimental results not only validate the effectiveness of the strategies adopted by NSPG-Miner, but also verify that NSPG-Miner can discover more valuable information than the state-ofthe-art algorithms. CLDG: Contrastive Learning on Dynamic Graphs

The graph with complex annotations is the most potent data type, whose constantly evolving motivates further exploration of the unsupervised dynamic graph representation. One of the representative paradigms is graph contrastive learning. It constructs self-supervised signals by maximizing the mutual information between the statistic graph’s augmentation views. However, the semantics and labels may change within the augmentation process, causing a significant performance drop in downstream tasks. This drawback becomes greatly magnified on dynamic graphs. To address this problem, we designed a simple yet effective framework named CLDG. Firstly, we elaborate that dynamic graphs have temporal translation invariance at different levels. Then, we proposed a sampling layer to extract the temporally-persistent signals. It will encourage the node to maintain consistent local and global representations, i.e., temporal translation invariance under the timespan views. The extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of the method on seven datasets by outperforming eight unsupervised state-of-the-art baselines and showing competitiveness against four semi-supervised methods. Compared with the existing dynamic graph method, the number of model parameters and training time is reduced by an average of 2,001.86 times and 130.31 times on seven datasets, respectively. knowledge representation learning is usually used in knowledge reasoning and other related fields. Its goal is to use low-dimensional vectors to represent the entities and relations in a knowledge graph. In the process of automatic knowledge graph construction, the complexity of unstructured text and the incorrect text may make automatic construction tools unable to accurately obtain the semantic information in the text. This leads to high-quality noise with matched entity types but semantic errors. Currently knowledge representation learning methods assume that the knowledge in knowledge graphs is completely correct, and ignore the noise data generated in the process of automatic construction of knowledge graphs, resulting in errors in the vector representation of entities and relations. In order to reduce the negative impact of noise data on the construction of a representation learning model, in this study, a high-quality noise detection method with rule information is proposed. Based on the semantic association between triples in the same rule, we propose the concept of rule-based triple confidence. The calculation strategy of triple confidence is designed inspired by probabilistic soft logic (PSL). The influence of high-quality noise data in the training process of the model can be weakened by this confidence. Experiments show the effectiveness of the proposed method in dealing with high-quality noise. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Traditional vision-based simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) technology cannot obtain the semantic information of the surrounding environment, which will cause the robot to fail to complete intelligent grasping, human-computer interaction, and other advanced decision tasks. There are many challenges to solve this problem, such as obtaining less semantic information of the environment with low precision and being unable to deal with dynamic objects in a real environment quickly and effectively. In this paper, a robust visual odometry using semantic information in complex dynamic scenes was designed. Specifically, we present a refined instance segmentation method based on the contextual information of the frame to improve the accuracy of segmentation. On this basis, a feature detection and elimination algorithm for dynamic objects based on instance-level semantic information is proposed to improve the localization accuracy of camera pose. We extensively evaluate our system on the public TUM data set and compare it with ORB-SLAM2 and other methods. Experiments show that our methods greatly improve the localization accuracy of the camera pose and the robustness of the system, which verifies that our system is effective in complex dynamic scenes. © 2021, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Recently, digital economy in social science has become increasingly significant. A well-constructed evaluation structure could generally and promptly describe and reveal its overall social digitalization development. Building on existent researches, this paper improves the evaluation system, which comprises four first-level indicators and thirty-one second-level indicators. Notably, this paper innovatively incorporates higher education into digital innovation of the evaluation. The Entropy method is utilized to assign weights to various indicators in an objective way, with employing the TOPSIS approach to prioritize the development of digital economy in places based on the closeness to the ideal solution. By analysing related data related from 31 provinces in China between 2017 to 2021, this paper greatly finds: Firstly, the development of digital economy vary significantly across provinces, with most provinces at a relatively poor level, indicating considerable potential for overall growth;Secondly, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shandong consistently ranked in the top four from 2017 to 2021, reflecting their specific development attributes and their emphasis on digital economy;Thirdly, significant disparities exist both between regions and among provinces. Consequently, this paper suggests establishing a comprehensive national digital economy development plan, formulating region-specific digital economy policies tailored to local conditions, and encouraging leading provinces to actively share experiences with other provinces. © 2024 The Authors.

Early classification of time series aims to accurately predict the class label of a time series as early as possible, which is significant but challenging in many time-sensitive applications. Existing early classification methods hold a basic closed-world assumption that the classifier must have seen the classes of test samples. However, new samples that do not belong to any trained class may appear in the real world. In this paper, we first address the early classification in an open world and design two detectors to identify which known class or unknown class a sample belongs to. Specifically, based on the observed data, an early known-class detector is designed to determine the known-class confidence and an early unknown-class detector is designed to determine the unknown-class confidence according to the Minimum Reliable Length (MRL) and the Weibull distribution of each class. Experimental results evaluated on real-world datasets demonstrate that the proposed model can identify samples of unknown and known classes accurately and early.

SwimVG: Step-wise Multimodal Fusion and Adaption for Visual Grounding

Visual grounding aims to ground an image region through natural language, which heavily relies on cross-modal alignment. Most existing methods transfer visual/linguistic knowledge separately by fully fine-tuning uni-modal pre-trained models, followed by a simple stack of visual-language transformers for multimodal fusion. However, these approaches not only limit adequate interaction between visual and linguistic contexts, but also incur significant computational costs. Therefore, to address these issues, we explore a step-wise multimodal fusion and adaption framework, namely SwimVG. Specifically, SwimVG proposes step-wise multimodal prompts (Swip) and cross-modal interactive adapters (CIA) for visual grounding, replacing the cumbersome transformer stacks for multimodal fusion. Swip can improve the alignment between the vision and language representations step by step, in a token-level fusion manner. In addition, weight-level CIA further promotes multimodal fusion by cross-modal interaction. Swip and CIA are both parameter-efficient paradigms, and they fuse the cross-modal features from shallow to deep layers gradually. Experimental results on four widely-used benchmarks demonstrate that SwimVG achieves remarkable abilities and considerable benefits in terms of efficiency. Scientific Value Weights more than Being Open or Toll Access:An analysis of the OA advantage in Nature and Science
