The fifth generation of the mobile network aims to revolutionize mobile communication by offering both unparalleled performance and broader service offerings. 5G technology responds to the growing demand for higher bandwidth and lower latency, caused by a significant increase of connected resources. Leveraging on Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, the 6G system can autonomously adapt to user requirements. This paper proposes a framework, named intelligent optimization framework (IoF), that leverages both network optimization and machine learning techniques for achieving the best performance results. The IoF framework allows for finding an exemplary resource allocation configuration of the mobile network by leveraging SDN technology. This work aims to configure the SDN-enabled switches and Open vSwitchs (OVSs) to enable an optimized data plane that reduces the overall operational expense (OPEX) cost and capital expense (CAPEX) cost within an optimized execution time. The evaluation results show our proposed framework's efficiency for delivering optimal configurations by reducing the number of allocated OVSs in a reasonable execution time.

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) play as a way that associates the cy-bernetic digital world to the actual world. The clustering concept in WSNs can effectively prevent the unnecessary energy consumption in delivering packets to the sink by dividing the network into several groups or clusters. In LEACH protocol, cluster heads (CHs) among different clusters can aggregate sensed data and directly dispatch packets via single-hop transmission to the data sink. Hence, a new challenging issue is generated to reduce the energy consumption for all CHs transmissions since the multi-hop transmission among CHs can effectively reduce the total transmission distance than the direct transmission of CHs in the conventional LEACH. In this paper, a travelling sales-man protocol (TSP) over LEACH (TSP-over-LEACH) is proposed based on the existing LEACH to minimize the total transmission distance among CHs and reduces the total power consumption of all CHs. The operation of TSP-over LEACH is divided into two stages. In the first stage, several CHs are determined randomly as the LEACH proto-col. In the second stage, a shortest routing path is established for packet transmission along all CHs and the data sink to reduce the total transmission distance. As a result, the TSP-over-LEACH can calculate the minimum hop and distance to achieve the minimiza-tion of total energy consumption of all CHs. Simulation results show that the proposed TSP-over-LEACH can effectively reduce total energy consumption as the number of CHs increases especially when the sink node is far away and outside the operation area. Maintenance of epidermal thickness is critical to the barrier function of the skin. Decreased tissue thickness, specifically in the stratum corneum (the outermost layer of the tissue), causes discomfort and inflammation, and is related to several severe diseases of the tissue. In order to maintain both stratum corneum thickness and overall tissue thickness it is necessary for the system to balance cell proliferation and cell loss. Cell proliferation in the epidermis occurs in the basal layer and causes constant upwards movement in the tissue. Cell loss occurs when dead cells at the top of the tissue are lost to the environment through a process called desquamation. Desquamation is thought to occur through a gradual reduction in adhesion between cells, due to the cleaving of adhesion proteins by enzymes, in the stratum corneum. In this paper we will investigate combining a (mass action) subcellular model of desquamation with a three dimensional (cell centre based) multicellular model of the interfollicular epidermis to better understand maintenance of epidermal thickness. Specifically, our aim is to determine if a hypothesised biological model for the degradation of cell-cell adhesion, from the literature, is sufficient to maintain a steady state tissue thickness. These investigations show the model is able to provide a consistent rate of cell loss in the multicellular model. This loss balances proliferation, and hence maintains a homeostatic tissue thickness. Moreover, we find that multiple proliferative cell populations in the basal layer can be represented by a single proliferative cell population, simplifying investigations with this model. The model is used to investigate a disorder (Netherton Syndrome) which disrupts desquamation. The model shows how biochemical changes can cause disruptions to the tissue, resulting in a reduced tissue thickness and consequently diminishing the protective role of the tissue. This paper concentrates on the analysis of a category of coupled Langevin-type pantograph differential equations involving the generalized Caputo fractional derivative with nonlocal conditions. We conduct this analysis in two cases for the second member in the nonlinear function; in other words, for the real space and an abstract Banach space Θ. To prove the existence and uniqueness of solutions to our problems, we used different types of the fixed point theorems attributed to Banach, Schaefer and Darbo, along with the measure of noncompactness. Lastly, we provide examples to illustrate our findings.

Due to the convergence of new communication technologies to compatible platforms, the number of intrusions into computer systems is growing the attacks carried out by malicious users to exploit the vulnerabilities of these systems are more and more frequent;In this context, intrusion detection systems (IDS) have emerged as a group of methods that combats the unauthorized use of a network’s resources. Recent advances in information technology, especially in machine learning, have produced a wide variety of methods, which can be integrated into an IDS. This paper presents a technique of intrusion detection based on pre-treatment of data set and classification intrusions with a Self Organizing Map (SOM) Artificial Neural Network method optimized with Genetic algorithm (GA) to develop a model for intrusion detection system. The simulation results show a significant improvement in detection rate. The performance of the proposed method of intrusion detection was evaluated on all UNSW-nb15 and KDD99 data sets. © 2019, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

This paper studies homogenization of symmetric non-local Dirichlet forms with α-stable-like jumping kernels in one-parameter stationary ergodic environment. Under suitable conditions, we establish homogenization results and identify the limiting effective Dirichlet forms explicitly. The coefficients of the jumping kernels of Dirichlet forms and symmetrizing measures are allowed to be degenerate and unbounded;and the coefficients in the effective Dirichlet forms can be degenerate. We establish via a probabilistic approach the quenched invariance principle for a class of long range random walks in independent (but not necessarily identically distributed) balanced random environments, with the transition probability from x to y on average being comparable to |x − y|−(d+α) with α ∈ (0, 2]. We use the martingale property to estimate exit time from balls and establish tightness of the scaled processes, and apply the uniqueness of the martingale problem to identify the limiting process. When α ∈ (0, 1), our approach works even for non-balanced cases. When α = 2, under a diffusive with the logarithmic perturbation scaling, we show that the limit of scaled processes is a Brownian motion. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. All rights reserved.

For each Fano threefold, we construct a family of Landau–Ginzburg models which satisfy many expectations coming from different aspects of mirror symmetry;they are log Calabi–Yau varieties with proper potential maps;they admit open algebraic torus charts on which the potential function w restricts to a Laurent polynomial satisfying a deformation of the Minkowski ansatz [Akh+12];the general fibres of w are Dolgachev–Nikulin dual to the anticanonical hypersurfaces in X.
