Distributed Adaptive Fault-Tolerant Output Regulation of Heterogeneous Multi-Agent Systems With Coupling Uncertainties and Actuator Faults

In this paper, we consider the distributed adaptive fault-tolerant output regulation problem for heterogeneous multiagent systems with matched system uncertainties and mismatched coupling uncertainties among subsystems under the influence of actuator faults. First, distributed finite-time observers are proposed for all subsystems to observe the state of the exosystem. Then, a novel fault-tolerant controller is designed to compensate for the influence of matched system uncertainties and actuator faults. By using the linear matrix inequality technique, a sufficient condition is provided to guarantee the solvability of the considered problem in the presence of mismatched coupling uncertainties. Moreover, it is shown that the system in closed-loop with the developed controller can achieve output regulation by using the Lyapunov stability theory and cyclic-small-gain ***, a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the obtained result.

In this paper, we investigate the safe task offloading and primary node selection in blockchain, digital twin (DT) and Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) enabled Internet of Vehicles (IoV). Edge servers centers provide computing power for task processing for Mobile Vehicles (MVs), while blockchain can provide security guarantees for MVs during task offloading. Based on the above system, we propose a joint optimization scheme for vehicle task offloading decision and the Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (PBFT) consensus process. Due to the large number of optimization variables and constraints, the problem becomes more complex. Traditional convex optimization and dynamic programming methods are difficult to effectively solve this problem. To address this issue, we propose a deep reinforcement learning based algorithm that utilizes Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO). The experimental results show that the algorithm proposed in this paper outperforms the benchmark algorithm in terms of convergence and other aspects.

Robust Multiple-Structure Geometric Model Fitting by Preserving Neighborhood Consistency

Geometric model fitting has been widely used in various computer vision applications. However, it remains a challenging task when handling the data that contains multiple model instances (i.e, structures) and a large number of false matches (i.e., outliers) between image pairs. In this paper, we propose a novel Neighborhood-Consistency-based Multiple-structure Fitting method (NCMF) to robustly estimate multiple model instances from the data with outliers, by preserving the neighborhood relationships of potential inliers. Specifically, we first propose a neighborhood consistency preservation algorithm, which explores both the motion pattern consistency and residual pattern consistency of input data, to alleviate the sensitivity to outliers. Consequently, we can produce the significant neighborhood set for each of input data and the reliable neighborhood relationships for data clustering. Then, we propose a robust neighborhoodconsistency-based clustering algorithm by an agglomerative clustering procedure, to effectively distinguish the inliers belonging to different model instances from outliers. In addition, we propose a neighborhood-relationship-based measurement function for data similarity to further make the clustering phase robust to outliers. Overall, NCMF is able to effectively estimate the number and the parameters of model instances from input data simultaneously. Extensive experimental results on several challenging datasets show that the proposed NCMF method can obtain significant superiority over several other state-of-theart model fitting methods on both fitting accuracy and computational efficiency. © 2023, The Authors. Despite several attempts to enhance the electrical and charge carrier transport characteristics of porous silicon (PSi), the requisite conditions for optimally synthesizing n-PSi with appealing optoelectronic properties are yet to be achieved. Therefore, this research explores the effect of the chemical ratio of precursor materials (HF:C2H6O:H2O2) on the surface morphology, crystalline structure, and optical and electric properties of PSi. The PSi was produced by photoelectrochemical etching followed by anodization of the n-type Si under light illumination. The properties of the as-prepared PSi were studied by means of microscopic and spectroscopic techniques. The HF:C2H6O:H2O2 chemical ratio was optimized at 2: 1: 1. A metal-semiconductor-metal (MSM) ultraviolet photodetector (Pt/n-PSi/Pt) was fabricated, which exhibited high performances under UV light (365 nm) illumination. The photodetector was shown to be highly stable and reliable with a rapid rise time of 0.56 s at a bias voltage of +5 V. The MSM photodetector displayed responsivity (Rp) of 9.17 A/m at 365 nm, which significantly exceeds the values reported for TiC/porous Si/Si in some contemporary research. The photodetector fabricated from n-PSi, synthesized at an optimum chemical ratio (2: 1: 1) exhibited the best photodetection performance, possibly due to the high porosity and defect-free state of the n-PSi thin films. © 2023 Asad A. This study explores the neurological basis of emotions using a multi-method approach, analysing functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) data obtained from a 26-channel device. Author’s primary objective was to examine the brain’s response to tasks that provoke emotional, imagery and affective reactions through the observation of hemodynamic changes in data. By applying data processing methods and techniques, cerebral activations corresponding to different emotional states were shown. This research enriches comprehension of how emotion and imagery tasks are processed by the brain and offers insights into aspects of brain activity during emotionally charged engagements.

With the wide application of wireless LAN, the real-time and differentiated services of IEEE 802.11 MAC are becoming more and more important. IEEE 802.11 uses CSMA/CA mechanism in MAC layer to coordinate access, but it does not meet the different requirements of different users for QoS. Considering the different requirements of different priority users for QoS, a solution is proposed for this problem. The core idea of this strategy is: in a multi rate network, according to the priority of nodes in the network, through adaptive optimization of relevant parameters, the probability of high priority nodes accessing the channel can be improved, and its throughput can be improved accordingly; The channel access probability of nodes with lower priority is reduced accordingly, and the throughput is reduced accordingly. Therefore, this policy can expand the throughput of each priority and realize the service differentiation function.

This note studies state estimation in wireless networked control systems with secrecy against eavesdropping. Specifically, a sensor transmits a system state information to the estimator over a legitimate user link, and an eavesdropper overhears these data over its link independent of the user link. Each connection may be affected by packet losses and is modeled by a finite-state Markov channel (FSMC), an abstraction widely used to design wireless communication systems. This paper presents a novel concept of optimal mean square expected secrecy over FSMCs and delineates the design of a secrecy parameter requiring the user mean square estimation error (MSE) to be bounded and eavesdropper MSE unbounded. We illustrate the developed results on an example of an inverted pendulum on a cart whose parameters are estimated remotely over a wireless link exposed to an eavesdropper. Quantum algorithms for differential equation solving, data processing, and machine learning potentially offer an exponential speedup over all known classical algorithms. However, there also exist obstacles to obtaining this potential speedup in useful problem instances. The essential obstacle for quantum differential equation solving is that outputting useful information may require difficult postprocessing, and the essential obstacle for quantum data processing and machine learning is that inputting the data is a difficult task just by itself. In this study, we demonstrate that, when combined, these difficulties solve one another. We show how the output of quantum differential equation solving can serve as the input for quantum data processing and machine learning, allowing dynamical analysis in terms of principal components, power spectra, and wavelet decompositions. To illustrate this, we consider continuous-time Markov processes on epidemiological and social networks. These quantum algorithms provide an exponential advantage over existing classical Monte Carlo methods.

This paper deals with the problem of signals filtering using hybrid filters. Such solutions may prove to be especially beneficial in the context of biomedical signals filtering where the signals’ amplitudes are typically not very high and they can be easily affected by different kinds of disturbances. Having a number of different types of filters tuned for some specific purposes we will show how the best filter choice is affected by selecting one ML model over another.

The article puts focus on the the problem of performance assessment for UAV formation with leader-following structure and switching communication topology in the presence of unknown exogenous perturbations. First, two time-varying indicators are devised on the basis of the regulated outputs of the followers. Then, a trainable performance assessment model is constructed by means of belief rule base expert system (BRB) with the two time-varying indicators as the inputs and the assessment utility as the final output. At last, relevant simulation experiments are conducted to validate the practicability of the established performance assessment model for leader-following UAV formation subject to switching communication topology and unknown external perturbations.
