Decentralized Online Learning(DOL)extends online learning to the domain of distributed ***,limitations of local data in decentralized settings lead to a decrease in the accuracy of decisions or models compared to centralized *** the increasing requirement to achieve a high-precision model or decision with distributed data resources in a network,applying ensemble methods is attempted to achieve a superior model or decision with only transferring gradients or models.A new boosting method,namely Boosting for Distributed Online Convex Optimization(BD-OCO),is designed to realize the application of boosting in distributed ***-OCO achieves the regret upper bound O(M+N/MNT)where M measures the size of the distributed network and N is the number of Weak Learners(WLs)in each *** core idea of BD-OCO is to apply the local model to train a strong global ***-OCO is evaluated on the basis of eight different real-world *** results show that BD-OCO achieves excellent performance in accuracy and convergence,and is robust to the size of the distributed network.

Gait Characteristics and Adaptation Strategies of Ants with Missing Legs

This paper systematically studies the movement behavior changes of Camponotus japonicus under one or two leg ***,a linear motion channel matching the size of the ants'legs was designed,and the movements of ants with different leg injuries were captured using high-speed cameras,constructing a comprehensive video dataset of ants'movements with missing ***,stable and reliable motion position information for keypoints on the ants'bodies and legs was obtained by utilizing low-annotation biometric keypoint detection ***,by analyzing the filtered gait data,information about the changes in the step locational points areas,phase differences,and duty factors of the injured ants'remaining legs was *** analysis of the ants'gait characteristics revealed some common adjustment patterns when the ants were in the injured ***,the study found that the loss of a foreleg had a significant impact on the ants'*** two legs were missing,the loss of both legs on the same side had a greater effect on movement,whereas symmetric opposite-side leg loss conditions had a lesser *** research will provide an important reference for the subsequent design of gait adjustment algorithms for biomimetic multi-legged robots under damaged conditions.

The behavior of single-phase flow and conjugate heat transfer in micro-channel heat sinks(MCHS)subjected to auniform heat flux is investigated by means of numerical *** geometrical configurations areexamined,particularly,the combinations of rectangular solid and perforated blocks,used to create a disturbancein the *** analysis focuses on several key aspects and related metrics,including the temperature distribution,the mean Fanning friction factor,the pressure drop,the Nusselt number,and the overall heat transfer coefficientacross a range of Reynolds numbers(80–870).It is shown that the introduction of such blocks significantlyenhances the heat transfer performances of the MCHS compared to the straight-through flow ***,a case is found where the Nusselt number increases by 2.3 times relative to the reference *** integrationof perforated blocks facilitates the generation of vorticity within the channel,promoting the mixing of coldand hot ***,MCHS incorporating perforated rectangular blocks exhibit more pronounced heat transferbenefits at Reynolds numbers smaller than 400.

Fast Two-dimensional Positioning Method of Crab Pulsar Based on Multiple Optimization Algorithms

In the two-dimensional positioning method of pulsars, the grid method is used to provide non-sensitive direction and positional estimates. However, the grid method has a high computational load and low accuracy due to the interval of the grid. To improve estimation accuracy and reduce the computational load, we propose a fast twodimensional positioning method for the crab pulsar based on multiple optimization algorithms(FTPCO). The FTPCO uses the Levenberg–Marquardt(LM) algorithm, three-point orientation(TPO) method, particle swarm optimization(PSO) and Newton–Raphson-based optimizer(NRBO) to substitute the grid method. First, to avoid the influence of the non-sensitive direction on positioning, we take an orbital error and the distortion of the pulsar profile as optimization objectives and combine the grid method with the LM algorithm or PSO to search for the non-sensitive direction. Then, on the sensitive plane perpendicular to the non-sensitive direction, the TPO method is proposed to fast search the sensitive direction and sub-sensitive direction. Finally, the NRBO is employed on the sensitive and sub-sensitive directions to achieve two-dimensional positioning of the Crab pulsar. The simulation results show that the computational load of the FTPCO is reduced by 89.4% and the positioning accuracy of the FTPCO is improved by approximately 38% compared with the grid method. The FTPCO has the advantage of high real-time accuracy and does not fall into the local optimum.

Wargame, as a tool to generate sample data for analysis and model training, has vast application in fields of training, command & control, and tactical research. Traditional wargame technologies greatly rely on human wisdom in the loop, impossible to generate large scale sample data. Reinforcement learning technology can generate large scale sample data, but it is not competent for the decision complexity above campaign level. This paper proposes a hybrid intelligence wargame method, which can generate large scale sample data using AI algorithms under the guidance of human wisdom. It has wide applications, which provides data analysis functions that existing wargame methods cannot provide. Prototype software has been developed based on the method, with feasibility and effectiveness verified through experiments, which has certain reference value. © 2022 IEEE.

A Seamless Pedestrian Localization system Based on GNSS/IμUWB/MAP Integration

Pedestrian localization has broad applications. However, achieving seamless positioning in complex environments remains a significant challenge due to factors like environmental occlusion and indoor-outdoor transitions. This paper proposes a combined localization framework using Global Navigation Satellite system (GNSS), Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), Ultra-Wideband (UWB), and MAP data to address this issue. In the framework, a three-step GNSS localization method is proposed to enhance accuracy and stability by eliminating Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) effects and filtering anomalies. Inertial Navigation system (INS) and Pedestrian Dead Reckoning (PDR) models are integrated to improve local precision and stability. UWB, known for its superior localization capabilities, has been integrated into some smartphones and is promising for large-scale indoor applications. The paper presents a gradient descent-based optimal anchor deployment algorithm and localization methods for varying anchor quantities. Additionally, a non-stationary Markov model fuses map data for trajectory prediction and correction. Finally, anomaly detection filtering and low-pass filtering are applied to the corrected trajectories, yielding high accuracy and stability. Experiments on the Honor V20 and iQOO U3 smartphones showed significant improvements compared to the baseline algorithm. Outdoor Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) was reduced by 44.4% (10.83m) for the Honor V20 and 40.0% (10.77m) for the iQOO U3. Additionally, outdoor Standard Deviation (STD) improved by 43.9% (4.80m) and 43.5% (5.50m), respectively. In transitional areas, RMSE improved by 4.61% (10.77m) and 19.6% (4.76m), respectively. Indoor RMSE also showed improvements, with the Honor V20 reducing it by 8.00% (3.79m) and the iQOO U3 by 5.78% (3.91m). © 2025 IEEE.

Coexistence of Distributed Sensing and Ultra-simple Coherent RoF based Front-haul for Radio Access Network

The radio access network requires high-speed transmission and multifunctionality to support the increasing demand for advanced communication services. Radio-over-fiber (RoF) technology fulfills these requirements by enabling the delivery of millimeter-wave (MMW) band wireless signals via optical fiber front-haul. This paper presents an ultra-simple RoF system that achieves the coexistence of distributed sensing and telecommunication. A commercially available coherent modulator achieves signal modulation and remote up-conversion by the beat between the residual carrier and the modulated radio signal. The linear-frequency modulated carrier enables distributed sensing while simultaneously serving as the beat tone of RoF communication, showcasing the potential for integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) applications in next-generation radio access networks. We demonstrate the sensing and transmission performance over a 10-km fiber link and a 1-m wireless MMW channel. The system achieves a distributed sensing detection sensitivity of 28 pΕ/√ Hz and supports 1.6 GBaud 16QAM radio transmission in the Ka-band of 28 GHz. © 1983-2012 IEEE.
