Intelligent assembly of large-scale,complex structures using an intelligent manufacturing platform represents the future development direction for industrial *** large-scale structural assembly processes,several bottleneck problems occur in the existing auxiliary assembly ***,the traditional LiDARbased assembly technology is often limited by the openness of the manufacturing environment,in which there are blind spots,and continuous online assembly adjustment thus cannot be ***,for assembly of large structures,a single-station LiDAR system cannot achieve complete coverage,which means that a multi-station combination method must be used to acquire the complete three-dimensional data;many more data errors are caused by the transfer between stations than by the measurement accuracy of a single station,which means that the overall system's measurement and adjustment errors are increased ***,because of the large numbers of structural components contained in a large assembly,the accumulated errors may lead to assembly interference,but the LiDAR-assisted assembly process does not have a feedback perception capability,and thus assembly component loss can easily be caused when assembly interference ***,this paper proposes to combine an optical fiber sensor network with digital twin technology,which will allow the test data from the assembly entity state in the real world to be applied to the"twin"model in the virtual world and thus solve the problems with test openness and data *** problem of station and perception feedback is also addressed and represents the main innovation of this *** system uses an optical fiber sensor network as a flexible sensing medium to monitor the strain field distribution within a complex area in real time,and then completes real-time parameter adjustment of the virtual assembly based on the distributed *** areas include areas that are laser-unreachable,areas wi

To enhance the privacy of messages in Internet of Vehicles (IoVs), it is critical to preserve the communication security between Road Side Unit (RSU) and numerous vehicles. The primitive of signcryption is introduced to guarantee the confidentiality, integrity and unforgeability of transmitted messages. Nevertheless, the existing signcryption schemes fail to achieve a balance between security and efficiency. In this paper, we construct a Chinese remainder theorem (CRT) empowered certificateless aggregate signcryption scheme with key agreement (CASKA-CRT). As the vehicle joins and leaves dynamically, the proposed scheme can ensure the dynamic security via one modulo division operation. Besides, the certificateless aggregate signcryption and key agreement mechanisms are embedded. The former idea can both address the certificate management and key escrow problems, while the latter technology can create authentication as a premise of secure communication. Based on this construction, the hash-to-group operation and bilinear pairing are avoided, to realize a faster verification with the increased number of messages. Moreover, the security of proposed scheme is proved under the random oracle model. Finally, the performance analysis demonstrates the advantage of CASKA-CRT in terms of security and reliability over related works. IEEE

As a crucial auxiliary technique in inertial navigation, scene matching has been widely applied in aircraft navigation and guidance. To enhance the adaptability and efficiency of scene matching algorithms in complex environments, existing approaches have gradually shifted towards heterogeneous scene matching, such as optical/ infrared scene matching based on deep learning features, with a focus on point features. However, due to the complex and diverse nonlinear distortions between optical and infrared images, the matching accuracy often fails to meet the practical requirements of navigation and positioning. In view of this problem, an EPM-Net algorithm based on edge features is proposed to improve matching performance by extracting more stable and discriminative edge point descriptors. Experimental results on infrared datasets demonstrate that this method achieves an average matching accuracy improvement of more than four times compared to traditional and existing deep learning methods. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. This study focuses on the improvement of path planning efficiency for underwater gravity-aided ***,a Depth Sorting Fast Search(DSFS)algorithm was proposed to improve the planning speed of the Quick Rapidly-exploring Random Trees*(Q-RRT*)algorithm.A cost inequality relationship between an ancestor and its descendants was derived,and the ancestors were filtered ***,the underwater gravity-aided navigation path planning system was designed based on the DSFS algorithm,taking into account the fitness,safety,and asymptotic optimality of the routes,according to the gravity suitability distribution of the navigation ***,experimental comparisons of the computing performance of the ChooseParent procedure,the Rewire procedure,and the combination of the two procedures for Q-RRT*and DSFS were conducted under the same planning environment and parameter conditions,*** results showed that the computational efficiency of the DSFS algorithm was improved by about 1.2 times compared with the Q-RRT*algorithm while ensuring correct computational results.

In order to add more infrared excitation methods, the infrared thermal wave detection method of thermal barrier coating excited by hot water bath is put forward, and the three-dimensional simulation model of thermal barrier coating is established to simulate the thermal barrier coating heated by water vapor. The temperature field changes of different debonding defects diameters at different times are analyzed. The results show that when water vapor covers the whole contact surface, the image acquisition effect is the best. Different debonding defects diameters have little effect on contrast, but have great influence on temperature difference. Therefore, the combination of appropriate infrared thermal imager and hot water bath method can detect very small debonding defects. When the water vapor covers the whole contact surface, the image acquisition effect is the best. © 2024 SPIE.

High-precision localization technology is attracting widespread attention in harsh indoor *** this paper,we present a fingerprint localization and tracking system to estimate the locations of the tag based on a deep belief network(DBN).In this system,we propose using coefficients as fingerprints to combine the ultra-wideband(UWB)and inertial measurement unit(IMU)estimation linearly,termed as a HUID *** particular,the fingerprints are trained by a DBN and estimated by a radial basis function(RBF).However,UWB-based estimation via a trilateral method is severely affected by the non-line-of-sight(NLoS)problem,which limits the localization *** tackle this problem,we adopt the random forest classifier to identify line-of-sight(LoS)and NLoS ***,we adopt the random forest regressor to mitigate ranging errors based on the identification results for improving UWB localization *** experimental results show that the mean square error(MSE)of the localization error for the proposed HUID system reduces by 12.96%,50.16%,and 64.92%compared with that of the existing extended Kalman filter(EKF),single UWB,and single IMU estimation methods,respectively.

This paper introduces a new absolute distance measurement system. A single-cavity double-comb laser based on single-wall carbon nanotube mode-locking is used as a light source by adjusting the intraccavity loss, and two optical combs with slight differences in wavelength and repetition rate and constant repetition frequency difference are generated for absolute distance measurement based on asynchronous optical sampling. The measured fuzzy distance is about 1.5 meters, and the measurement uncertainty is 15μm. © 2024 SPIE.

Fruit yield assessment is an important aspect of orchard management. In this context, target detection of fruit is of paramount importance. However, due to complex factors in real orchard environments, such as fruit occlusion, insufficient lighting, and overlapping fruits, traditional detection and counting methods often suffer from low detection accuracy and inadequate classification precision, failing to meet the requirements of practical applications. To address this issue, we focus on nectarine fruit and propose an improved YOLOv8n-based object detection algorithm model, YOLOv8n-global feature extraction enhancement (GFE). We integrate the effective squeeze-and-excitation attention mechanism into the YOLOv8n model. This integration allows our approach to adaptively adjust the weight of each channel, which enhances both detection efficiency and target recognition accuracy. Then, we introduce focal distance-intersection over union loss to address the misjudgment of hard samples. This further contributes to improving detection accuracy. In addition, we incorporate the gather-and-distribute mechanism from GOLD-YOLO, replacing the traditional feature pyramid network structure. This enhancement improves the information fusion capability in the neck of the model, leading to a higher mean average precision (mAP@0.5). In addition, the output of the improved model can be used as an input to DEEPSORT to classify and count nectarine fruit. This functionality can be used for estimating fruit maturity and yield in orchards. Experimental results demonstrate that the YOLOv8n-GFE model achieves a mAP@0.5 of 92.5%, which is an improvement of 3.2% over the original YOLOv8n model, meeting the required accuracy for recognizing nectarine fruit maturity in practical applications. © 2023 IEEE.

Seasonal prediction of extreme high-temperature days over the Yangtze River basin

Extreme high temperatures occur frequently over the densely populated Yangtze River basin(YRB)in China during summer,significantly impacting the local economic development and ecological ***,accurate prediction of extreme high-temperature days in this region remains a ***,the Climate Forecast system Version 2(CFSv2)exhibits poor performance in this ***,based on the interannual increment approach,we develop a hybrid seasonal prediction model over the YRB(HM_(YRB))to improve the prediction of extreme high-temperature days in *** HM_(YRB)relies on the following four predictors:the observed preceding April-May snowmelt in north western Europe;the snow depth in March over the central Siberian Plateau;the CFSv2-forecasted concurrent summer sea surface temperatures around the Maritime Continent;and the 200-hPa geopotential height over the Tibetan *** HM_(YRB)indicates good capabilities in predicting the interannual variability and trend of extreme high-temperature days,with a markable correlation coefficient of 0.58 and a percentage of the same sign(PSS)of 76% during 1983-2015 in the one-year-out ***,the HM_(YRB) maintains high PSS skill(86%)and robustness in the independent prediction period(2016-2022).Furthermore,the HM_(YRB) shows a good performance for years with high occurrence of extreme high-temperature days,with a hit ratio of 40%.These predictors used in HM_(YRB)are beneficial in terms of the prediction skill for the average daily maximum temperature in summer over the YRB,albeit with biases existing in the *** study provides promising insights into the prediction of 2022-like hot extremes over the YRB in China.
