Moving target defense (MTD) is a promising approach to defend against load redistribution attacks on the internet-of-things (IoT)-based smart grid networks by probing the distorted state estimates with the distributed flexible AC transmission system. However, existing studies mainly focus on optimizing the performance of MTD and ignore the safety effect of it on the system’s operation. In this paper, we fill this gap by deeply analyzing the effect of MTD on the small signal stability and aim to alleviate the negative impact and guarantee its defending performance simultaneously. Firstly, the stability is formally described using the eigenvalue sensitivity. The relationship between the MTD-induced perturbation (MTDper) and the stability criteria is derived. Secondly, a new indicator is proposed to measure the effectiveness of MTDper. Thirdly, a constrained optimization problem is formulated to compute the bound of MTDper for guaranteeing the small signal stability. In addition, a surprising finding is that the stability margin can be improved and enhanced by optimizing the value of MTDper without losing the MTD’s effectiveness. Finally, we evaluate the performance of MTDper and its impact on the small signal stability with extensive simulations on the IEEE 30-bus, 39-bus, and 68-bus test power systems. © 2014 IEEE.

AI large model-centered intelligent applications holds promises to revolutionize network quality of service (QoS). therefore, the deployment and utilization of such models in the Industrial Internet of Things (Industrial IoT) are considered as an increasingly pressing priority. In particular, the integration of Generative AI (GenAI) into Industrial IoT, with a focus on establishing a robust NetGPT network architecture that leverages Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) and Device-to-Device (D2D) collaboration has been subjected to significant academic attention. Accordingly, this paper explores the optimization of dynamic network resource management in mobile D2D networks through the innovative application of NetGPT. First, a NetGPT-based system architecture for network resource management is proposed. Thereafter, mobile D2D network model is established with a detailed account of NetGPT training and NetGPT fusion. Finally, the workload scheduling strategy in industrial IoT based on Stackelberg game model is formulated though multi-agent GenAI and present the NetGPT-based orchestration of task co-offloading for mobile network nodes. Deep reinforcement learning is implemented at the edge side to compete and cooperate in addressing complex network problems, which enabling GenAI nodes in a co-offloading and load balancing manner. The implementation of NetGPT-enhanced D2D networks has been conducted in a Mininet simulation environment. Compared to traditional network solutions, our findings show significant improvements in several key performance indicators, including network response latency, task processing capacity, and transmission power. © 1986-2012 IEEE.

The growing emphasis on sustainability and green energy in electricity generation has led researchers to focus on improving photovoltaic systems. Consequently, a reliable fault diagnosis method is crucial for protecting and maintaining the performance of PV systems. This paper introduces a fault detection approach utilizing a sliding mode observer to detect sensor faults in a standalone photovoltaic system. The method is based on residual generation, which identifies faults by comparing residuals with specific threshold values. The standalone photovoltaic test bench includes a boost converter that facilitates maximum power point tracking using the perturb and observe method for the load. Simulations are carried out in MATLAB/Simulink under stable temperature and varying irradiance conditions to evaluate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed fault detection technique.

We introduce a method to evaluate the similarities between classes of objects based on the confusion matrices coming from the multi-class machine learning (ML) predictors that operate in the vector space generated by the classes. Operation in the confusion domain allows us to use the distance as evaluation metric of the closeness of the relevant properties carried by the classes. We applied the method to semiquantitatively evaluate the effects of X-ray and carbon ion radiation on cultured SW1353 chondrosarcoma cells with respect to the non-irradiated reference. The structure of the rocket-borne model is inherently complex, with processed images exhibiting high resolution and generating substantial amounts of data and calculations. Achieving robust real-Time computing on an embedded platform poses significant challenges due to strictly limited resources, power consumption constraints, and size limitations. Our review of rocket-borne applications reveals considerable variability in the design resources of different devices, indicating a need for expanded design approaches. Upon evaluating existing methods, we identified two primary drawbacks. First, certain operators within the high-resolution target detection model are difficult to parallelize, resulting in significant inference delays that hinder the ability to meet task requirements. Although existing methods have been extended, there remains significant potential for performance enhancement in core scheduling for poor acceleration. This paper proposes an optimized architecture for the target detection algorithm accelerator designed for high-resolution images, along with a novel highly parallel data pre-processing and post-processing module implemented on FPGA to address these issues. Compared to the ARM implementation, this architecture demonstrates an improved performance of 24.64x. Furthermore, to ensure flexible application across various rocket launch scenarios, we introduce an optimization structure for convolution, pooling, and fusion operators and a multi-core expansion optimization method. This approach yields a 1.29x improvement in computing unit utilization compared to state-of-The-Art multi-core scaling efforts. Finally, we assessed the accelerator architecture across multiple FPGA platforms, achieving a peak processing element utilization rate of 99.71% for a single core and layer. This paper addresses the problem of distributed estimation and motion control (DEMC) in multi-agent systems (MASs) with both linear and Lipschitz nonlinear dynamics. Unlike conventional DEMC methods designed for MASs under ideal conditions, this work investigates scenarios where all agents are vulnerable to various forms of attacks. The considered attacks comprise false-data injection (FDI) attacks and denial of service (DoS) attacks that affect the communication channels among agents to destabilize the MAS. Also, the unbounded actuator attacks which exist in practical environments to intentionally degrade the MAS performance is considered. To cope with these kinds of attacks, two novel resilient approaches are established aimed at estimating and following a mobile target under attacks. The proposed distributed attack-resilient control strategies are designed based on a dual-layer structure, guaranteeing effective DEMC with an ultimately bounded error. The results from two simulation examples are provided to validate the presented algorithms. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

Learn to Bid as a Price-Maker Wind Power Producer

Wind power producers (WPPs) participating in short-term power markets face significant imbalance costs due to their non-dispatchable and variable production. While some WPPs have a large enough market share to influence prices with their bidding decisions, existing optimal bidding methods rarely account for this aspect. Price-maker approaches typically model bidding as a bilevel optimization problem, but these methods require complex market models, estimating other participants’ actions, and are computationally demanding. To address these challenges, we propose an online learning algorithm that leverages contextual information to optimize WPP bids in the price-maker setting. We formulate the strategic bidding problem as a contextual multi-armed bandit, ensuring provable regret minimization. The algorithm’s performance is evaluated against various benchmark strategies using a numerical simulation of the German day-ahead and real-time markets. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. Quantum computing is progressing at a fast rate and there is a real threat that classical cryptographic methods can be compromised and therefore impact the security of blockchain networks. All of the ways used to secure blockchain like Rivest–Shamir–Adleman (RSA), Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) and Secure Hash Algorithm 256-bit (SHA256) are the characteristic of the traditional cryptographic techniques vulnerable to attack by quantum algorithms: Shor’s and Grover’s algorithms: can efficiently break asymmetric encryption and speed up brute force attacks. Because of this vulnerability, there exists a need to develop an advance quantum resilient blockchain framework to protect the decentralized ledgers from the future threats of the quantum. This research proposes Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and Quantum Random Number Generation (QRNG) as a formidable architectural integration, to fortify security of blockchain. Classical encryption is replaced with PQC, QKD with secure key exchange by detecting eavesdropping, and QRNG with improving cryptographic randomness to remove the predictable key vulnerability. Only with a small loss of transaction efficiency, we increase transaction encryption accuracy, key exchange security, and resistance to quantum attacks. In this quantum enhanced blockchain design, the idea is to preserve the decentralization, transparency and security and at the same time overcome the future quantum threat. By going through rigorous analysis and comparative evaluation, we demonstrate that the approach saves blockchain networks from the emerging quantum risks to make sure that the decentralized finance, smart contracts and cross chain transactions. © (2025), (Science and Information Organization). This paper presents a novel approach for head tracking in augmented reality (AR) flight simulators using an adaptive fusion of Kalman and particle filters. This fusion dynamically balances the strengths of both algorithms, leveraging Kalman filters for computational efficiency and particle filters for handling non-linearities based on real-time factors such as sensor noise and head movement patterns. Our method demonstrates superior tracking precision and reduced latency, making it particularly effective for immersive pilot training in AR-based flight simulations. While focused on flight simulation, our approach holds high potential for broader applications in other AR and virtual reality (VR) environments where precise, real-time head tracking is crucial. These results provide actionable design guidance for developers optimizing tracking systems in environments that require fast response times and high accuracy. Future extensions of this research could explore the generalization of our approach across diverse AR applications, including human-computer interaction (HCI), medical simulations, and gaming. © 1968-2012 IEEE.

Content-decoupled Contrastive Learning-based Implicit Degradation Modeling for Blind Image Super-Resolution Supplementary Material

Implicit degradation modeling-based blind super-resolution (SR) has attracted more increasing attention in the community due to its excellent generalization to complex degradation scenarios and wide application range. How to extract more discriminative degradation representations and fully adapt them to specific image features is the key to this task. In this paper, we propose a new Content-decoupled Contrastive Learning-based blind image super-resolution (CdCL) framework following the typical blind SR pipeline. This framework introduces negative-free contrastive learning technique for the first time to model the implicit degradation representation, in which a new cyclic shift sampling strategy is designed to ensure decoupling between content features and degradation features from the data perspective, thereby improving the purity and discriminability of the learned implicit degradation space. In addition, we propose a detail-aware implicit degradation adapting module that can better adapt degradation representations to specific LR features by enhancing the basic adaptation unit's perception of image details, significantly reducing the overall SR model complexity. Extensive experiments on synthetic and real data show that our method achieves highly competitive quantitative and qualitative results in various degradation settings while obviously reducing parameters and computational costs, validating the feasibility of designing practical and lightweight blind SR tools.
