Precise measurement of remotely operated vehicle(ROV) position is crucial for dynamic positioning close to an underwater *** can be achieved by using a passive arm measurement ***,the main drawback of this measurement system is the additional forces acting on ROV due to the mechanical *** cope with this problem,a robust adaptive PID control scheme is proposed for dynamic positioning of ROV working in close proximity of an underwater structure in this *** proposed controller is a composition of a PID term,a robust term and an adaptive *** adaptive term is adopted to estimate and compensate the additional forces caused by the passive arm,umbilical cable and uncertainties in buoyancy,and the PID and robust terms are used to eliminate the positioning *** respect to the existing adaptive PD controller developed for dynamic positioning of ROV,the proposed controller makes the following improvements:1) it does not require any knowledge of the inertia matrix,Coriolis and centripetal matrix and hydrodynamic damping matrix of the vehicle dynamics in the controller design;and 2) it does not need any constraints on the control gains to guarantee the global asymptotical convergence of the position and velocity errors of the vehicle to zero except for choosing an appropriately large exponential decay ***,comparative numerical simulations are performed on an experimentally validated ROV between the standard PID controller and the proposed robust adaptive PID *** results show that the proposed controller offers higher positioning precision and stronger robustness to the additional forces than the standard PID controller.

The dynamics of two-word naming game incorporating the influence of biased assimilation is investigated in this paper. Firstly an extended naming game with biased assimilation(NGBA) is proposed. The hearer in NGBA accepts the received information in a biased manner, where he will refuse to accept the conveyed word with a predefined probability, if it is different from his own current memory. Secondly, the adaptive network is formulated, where the existing links may be reconnected so that the individual can influence other individuals over the population as much as possible. Numerical simulation results show that the population in NGBA can eventually reach consensus;the larger strength of biased assimilation on both words, the slower convergence speed, while larger strength of biased assimilation on only one word can slightly accelerate the convergence;larger population size can make the rate of convergence slower to a large extent when it increases from relatively small size, but such effect becomes minor when the population size is large;the behavior of adaptively reconnecting the existing links can greatly accelerate the rate of convergence.

Countries in the world have formed a huge network by international investment and trade, where economic turmoil in some areas may lead to a worldwide financial crisis. In this paper, based on the international investment and trade data of155 countries from 2007 to 2010, a double-layer network is constructed to analyze the economic crisis’ s influence that how countries’ economic situation evolves over time and affects each other. First, an improved epidemic model is developed on the double-layer network, where each country possesses three candidate states including susceptible, contagious and ***, Debt Rank of each layer is calculated to quantify the propagation of financial distress and crisis, which shows that Debt Rank is basically consistent with the GDP of countries, and countries with small Debt Rank are more vulnerable in trade network, while countries with big Debt Rank are more vulnerable in investment network.

In this paper, from a perspective of complex network, we investigate the international trade and investment for more than 200 countries from 2001 to 2010. Through analyzing the topological properties, we nd that the average partner numbers for both trade and investment are increasing year by year, and the average volume has a signi cant decrease in 2008 for investment and 2009 for trade. Although the edge density is dramatically lower and the average path length is longer for the international investment network, its clustering coef cient is higher every year. Moreover, we detect community structures and rank each country according to its total trade or investment volume, which demonstrate that the partnerships for the international trade are more stable, and USA always ranks rst in its community for both trade and investment.
