Continual Few-shot Relation Extraction (CFRE) aims to continually learn new relations from limited labeled data while preserving knowledge about previously learned relations. Facing the inherent issue of catastrophic forgetting, previous approaches predominantly rely on memory replay strategies. However, they often overlook task interference in continual learning and the varying memory requirements for different relations. To address these shortcomings, we propose a novel framework, DPC-FT, which features: 1) a lightweight relation encoder for each task to mitigate negative knowledge transfer across tasks;2) a dynamic prototype module to allocate less memory for easier relations and more memory for harder relations. Additionally, we introduce the None-Of-The-Above (NOTA) detection in CFRE and propose a threshold criterion to identify relations that have never been learned. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of our method in CFRE, making our approach more practical and comprehensive for real-world scenarios. © 2025 Association for Computational Linguistics.

Script Event Prediction (SEP) aims to forecast the next event in a sequence from a list of candidates. Traditional methods often use pre-trained language models to model event associations but struggle with semantic ambiguity and embedding bias. Semantic ambiguity arises from the multiple meanings of identical words and insufficient consideration of event arguments, while embedding bias results from assigning similar word embeddings to event pairs with similar lexical features, despite their different meanings. To address above issues, we propose a the Semantic and Sentiment Dual-enhanced Generative Model (SSD-GM). SSD-GM leverages two types of script event information to enhance the generative model. Specifically, it employs a GNN-based semantic structure aggregator to integrate the event-centric structure information, thereby mitigating the impact of semantic ambiguity. Furthermore, we find that local sentiment variability effectively reduces biases in event embeddings, while maintaining global sentiment consistency enhances predictive accuracy. As a result, SSD-GM adeptly captures both global and local sentiment of events through its sentiment information awareness mechanism. Extensive experiments on the Multi-Choice Narrative Cloze (MCNC) task demonstrate that our approach achieves better results than other state-of-the-art baselines. © 2025 Association for Computational Linguistics.

Diffusion-Enabled Digital Twin Synchronization for AIGC Services in Space–Air–Ground-Integrated Networks

Artificial intelligence-generated content (AIGC) is increasingly featuring a key to extract intent information from external instructions and generate required content in digital twin (DT)-enabled application scenarios. To construct DT contexts as the input of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) algorithms, space–air–ground integrated networks (SAGINs) with hierarchical structures can facilitate object cloning from the physical world to a virtual space within vast geographical regions. In this work, we propose a novel DT synchronization framework residing in SAGINs to provide AIGC services. Autonomous aerial vehicles (AAVs) are in charge of gathering real-time information from the external environment and transmitting synchronization data to the core cloud via a communication relay, i.e., base station (BS) or satellite. In the proposed framework, we develop a resource allocation problem for DT synchronization, aiming to minimize the time-average energy costs of AAVs under the constraints on resource provision and long-term transmission queue stability. To address the complexity and dynamics of SAGINs, we first transform the original resource allocation problem into several deterministic problems based on the Lyapunov optimization. Then, a diffusion model-based resource allocation (DRA) algorithm is developed to solve the deterministic problem in each time slot, where a novel diffusion model is proposed to generate integer relay selection decisions with the aid of auxiliary gradients provided by conventional model-based optimization. Finally, we provide theoretical and simulation evaluations to demonstrate that the DRA algorithm can reduce energy consumption and improve resource utilization by comparing it with deep reinforcement learning (DRL) and heuristic algorithms. © 2014 IEEE.

Android malware authors often use packers to evade analysis. Although many unpacking tools have been proposed, they face two significant challenges: 1) They are easily impeded by anti-analysis techniques employed by packers, preventing efficient collection of hidden Dex data. 2) They are typically designed to unpack a specific packer and cannot handle malware packed with mixed packers. Consequently, many packed malware samples evade detection. To bridge this gap, we propose Gupacker , a novel generalized unpacking framework. Gupacker offers a generic solution for first-generation holistic packer by customizing the Android system source code. It identifies the type of packer and selects an appropriate unpacking function, constructs a deeper active call chain to achieve generic unpacking of second-generation function extraction packers, and uses JNI function and instruction monitoring to handle third-generation virtual obfuscation packer. On this basis, we counteract a diverse array of anti-analysis techniques. We conduct extensive experiments on 5K packed Android malware samples, comparing Gupacker with 2 commercial and 4 state-of-the-art academic unpacking tools. The results demonstrate that Gupacker significantly improves the efficiency of Android malware unpacking with acceptable system overhead. We analyze real packed applications based on Gupacker and found several are second-packed by attackers, including WPS for Android, with tens of millions of users. We receive and responsibly report 13 0day vulnerabilities and also assist in the remediation of all vulnerabilities. © 2005-2012 IEEE.

Despite significant progress in NeRF-based talking head generation, problems like poor lip synchronization and inefficient resource usage remain. To solve these, we propose KAN-Face, a lightweight framework. In preprocessing, we introduce a Lip-Sync Enhancement Module that uses Wav2Lip to extract high-resolution audio features and map them to an explicit intermediate representation, ensuring precise lip movement alignment with the speaker's identity. These predicted lip-sync features are combined with fundamental audio-extracted lip features and injected into the rendering module to improve synchronization. For rendering, we introduce FastKAN to map spatial points to color values. As a variant of KAN, FastKAN's sensitivity to 3D scenes and efficient structure enable precise, fast color prediction. Our framework reduces resource consumption while enhancing lip-sync accuracy and facial reconstruction, making it ideal for talking head generation tasks in resource-limited settings. Moving target defense (MTD) is a promising approach to defend against load redistribution attacks on the internet-of-things (IoT)-based smart grid networks by probing the distorted state estimates with the distributed flexible AC transmission system. However, existing studies mainly focus on optimizing the performance of MTD and ignore the safety effect of it on the system’s operation. In this paper, we fill this gap by deeply analyzing the effect of MTD on the small signal stability and aim to alleviate the negative impact and guarantee its defending performance simultaneously. Firstly, the stability is formally described using the eigenvalue sensitivity. The relationship between the MTD-induced perturbation (MTDper) and the stability criteria is derived. Secondly, a new indicator is proposed to measure the effectiveness of MTDper. Thirdly, a constrained optimization problem is formulated to compute the bound of MTDper for guaranteeing the small signal stability. In addition, a surprising finding is that the stability margin can be improved and enhanced by optimizing the value of MTDper without losing the MTD’s effectiveness. Finally, we evaluate the performance of MTDper and its impact on the small signal stability with extensive simulations on the IEEE 30-bus, 39-bus, and 68-bus test power systems. © 2014 IEEE.

The application of knowledge-based question answering (QA) systems in the aerospace sector is crucial, providing essential support in training, fault analysis, and operational manual development. These systems enhance efficiency and safety by enabling rapid, precise answers to complex technical questions, aiding in maintaining system reliability. However, limited empirical research has focused on assessing the performance of QA systems specifically tailored for aerospace, leaving an important knowledge gap in understanding their domain-specific effectiveness. This oversight may stem from the sector's unique demands for accuracy and the technical specialization required. Addressing the challenges of building an aerospace QA system requires a model with in-depth technical comprehension, able to deliver precise and contextually relevant answers across a wide range of specialized questions. Moreover, constructing a comprehensive dataset for such complex, evolving knowledge domains presents additional hurdles. This study provides an empirical assessment of three large language models - Gemma2, LLaMA, and Phi3 - on a carefully curated dataset of 300 aerospace questions. Using expert human evaluation to validate model performance, we identify each model's strengths, limitations, and practical applicability in aerospace QA. Our findings highlight that while these models show promise in answering aerospace-specific questions, their accuracy, logical structure, and depth of procedural understanding vary. These insights contribute valuable guidance for future improvements in knowledge transfer, operational support, and technical training tools within the aerospace industry. © 2025 IEEE.

Out-of-distribution (OOD) detection is crucial for developing trustworthy and reliable machine learning systems. Recent advances in training with auxiliary OOD data demonstrate efficacy in enhancing detection capabilities. Nonetheless, these methods heavily rely on acquiring a large pool of high-quality natural outliers. Some prior methods try to alleviate this problem by synthesizing virtual outliers but suffer from either poor quality or high cost due to the monotonous sampling strategy and the heavy-parameterized generative models. In this paper, we overcome all these problems by proposing the Hamiltonian Monte Carlo Outlier Synthesis (HamOS) framework, which views the synthesis process as sampling from Markov chains. Based solely on the in-distribution data, the Markov chains can extensively traverse the feature space and generate diverse and representative outliers, hence exposing the model to miscellaneous potential OOD scenarios. The Hamiltonian Monte Carlo with sampling acceptance rate almost close to 1 also makes our framework enjoy great efficiency. By empirically competing with SOTA baselines on both standard and large-scale benchmarks, we verify the efficacy and efficiency of our proposed HamOS. Navigation services enable users to find the shortest path from a starting point S to a destination D, reducing time, gas, and traffic congestion. Still, navigation users risk the exposure of their sensitive location data. Our motivation arises from how users can accurately, securely, and efficiently navigate from S to Dwhile passing through k unordered stops, i.e., midway locations with a non-fixed visiting order. In this work, we formally define Semi-Constrained Navigation (SCN) and present a novel scheme Hermestoachieveaccurate,secure, andefficient SCN. Specifically, weproposeadivide-and-conquerapproachtostrikeagoodbalance betweenaccuracyandefficiency. It recursively depth-first-searches the whole area (a navigation tree) and invokes five carefully-crafted strategies stop-by-stop to compute three subpaths in three se quential subareas. We construct a path-distance oracle to encrypt the road graph and securely implement the strategies by using homomorphic encryption and garble circuits. We formally prove the security in the random oracle model and analyze the search complexity to be less than O(k2). We experiment over a real-world city map and compare with six baselines. Results show that path search with k = 4 among N = 1000 intersections requires 5.58 seconds with a 3.2% distance deviation rate and an 82.5% path similarity. © 2004-2012 IEEE.
