A novel secure group RFID authentication protocol

The trend of researching group radio frequency identification devices（RFID） authentication protocol has become increasingly popular in recent years. One of the newest work in this area is from Batina and Lee, they presented a privacy-preserving multi-players grouping-proof protocol based on the elliptic curve cryptography（ECC）, and claimed their protocol have the ability to resist five potential attacks, including compromised tag attack, man-in-the-middle attack, colluding tags attack, etc. In this paper, we first take a counterexample to demonstrate their protocol is vulnerable to compromised tag attack. Then we propose a novel secure RFID authentication protocol, and analyze its security by merging formal analysis, provable security, and mathematical inductive method, so as to solve the weakness of Batina and Lee＇s work. Furthermore, compared with another two classic protocols（secure ownership transfer protocol（SOTP） and secure multiple group ownership transfer protocol（SMGOTP））, the performance analysis show that our protocol provides not only a lower tags＇ communication cost at about 50.0% and 14.3%, but also a lower reader＇s computation cost（approximate 14.5% and 55.1% respectively）, when transferring a large number of tags.

Scalable protocol for cross-domain group password-based authenticated key exchange

Cross-domain password-based authenticated key exchange （PAKE） protocols have been studied for many years. However, these protocols are mainly focusing on multi-participant within a single domain in an open network environment. This paper proposes a novel approach for designing a cross-domain group PAKE protocol, that primarily handles with the setting of multi-participant in the multi- domain. Moreover, our protocol is proved secure against active adversary in the Real-or-Random （ROR） model. In our protocol, no interaction occurs between any two domain authentication servers. They are regarded as ephemeral certificate authorities （CAs） to certify key materials that participants might subsequently use to exchange and agree on group session key. We further justify the computational complexity and measure the average computation time of our protocol. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first work to analyze and discuss a provably secure multi-participant cross-domain group PAKE protocol.

Isolating Host Environment by Booting Android from OTG Devices

With the integration of smartphone into daily life, end users store a large amount of sensitive information into Android device. For protecting the sensitive information, a method of multi-booting Android OS from On-The-Go(OTG) device is proposed to meet the requirements of end users in different scenarios. The proposed method utilizes system domain isolation to guarantee the security of sensitive information on different Android *** difference with other solutions is that our proposed solution does not add additional components to Android OS,which makes the overhead of Android runtime has been effectively controlled. A prototype of the proposed method is implemented and deployed into the real android device to evaluate the effectiveness, the efficiency and the performance overhead. The experiment results show that the performance overhead is reasonable and our method can effectively mitigate the risk of sensitive information leakage when booting different Android instance in the same Android device.

An Identity-Based Proxy Signature on NTRU Lattice

Proxy signature plays an important role in distributed systems, mobile agent applications, distributed shared object systems, global distribution networks and mobile communications etc., since it allows the original signer to delegate another proxy signer to sign the message instead of himself. However, the proxy signature schemes constructed on the number theory cannot resist quantum computers attack and depend on the public key infrastructure. To mitigate these problems, the alternative schemes are Identity-based proxy signature constructed on *** this paper, an identity-based proxy signature scheme based on Number theorem research unit(NTRU) lattice is proposed and proven secure in the random oracle. Compared with the other existing identity-based proxy signature schemes, the proposed scheme outperforms them in terms of original signer's signature size and signing key size and proxy signer's signing key size.

Answer extraction(AE) is one of the key technologies in developing the open domain Question & answer(Q&A) *** task is to yield the highest score to the expected answer based on an effective answer score *** introduce an answer extraction method by Merging score strategy(MSS) based on hot *** hot terms are defined according to their lexical and syntactic features to highlight the role of the question *** cope with the syntactic diversities of the corpus,we propose four improved candidate answer score *** of them is based on the lexical function of hot terms and their syntactic relationships with the candidate *** independent corpus score algorithms are proposed to tap the role of the corpus in ranking the candidate *** algorithms are adopted in MSS to tap the complementary action among the corpus,the candidate answers and the *** demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.

A novel unsupervised method for new word extraction

New words could benefit many NLP tasks such as sentence chunking and sentiment analysis. However, automatic new word extraction is a challenging task because new words usually have no fixed language pattern, and even appear with the new meanings of existing words. To tackle these problems, this paper proposes a novel method to extract new words. It not only considers domain specificity, but also combines with multiple statistical language knowledge. First, we perform a filtering algorithm to obtain a candidate list of new words. Then, we employ the statistical language knowledge to extract the top ranked new words. Experimental results show that our proposed method is able to extract a large number of new words both in Chinese and English corpus, and notably outperforms the state-of-the-art methods. Moreover, we also demonstrate our method increases the accuracy of Chinese word segmentation by 10% on corpus containing new words.

Improving Parallel Corpus Quality for Chinese-Vietnamese Statistical Machine Translation

The performance of a machine translation system heavily depends on the quantity and quality of the bilingual language resource. However,getting a parallel corpus,which has a large scale and is of high quality,is a very difficult task especially for low resource languages such as Chinese-Vietnamese. Fortunately,multilingual user generated contents（ UGC）,such as bilingual movie subtitles,provide us access to automatic construction of the parallel corpus. Although the amount of UGC parallel corpora can be considerable,the original corpus is not suitable for statistical machine translation（ SMT） systems. The corpus may contain translation errors,sentence mismatching,free translations,etc. To improve the quality of the bilingual corpus for SMT systems,three filtering methods are proposed： sentence length difference,the semantic of sentence pairs,and machine learning. Experiments are conducted on the Chinese to Vietnamese translation *** results demonstrate that all the three methods effectively improve the corpus quality,and the machine translation performance（ BLEU score） can be improved by 1. 32.

A Latent Entity-Document Class Mixture of Experts Model for Cumulative Citation Recommendation

Knowledge Bases （KBs） are valuable resources of human knowledge which contribute to many applications. However, since they are manually maintained, there is a big lag between their contents and the upto-date information of entities. Considering a target entity in KBs, this paper investigates how Cumulative Citation Recommendation （CCR） can be used to effectively detect its worthy-citation documents in large volumes of stream data. Most global relevant models only consider semantic and temporat features of entity-document instances, which does not sufficiently exploit prior knowledge underlying entity-document instances. To tackle this problem, we present a Mixture of Experts （ME） model by introducing a latent layer to capture relationships between the entity-document instances and their latent class information. An extensive set of experiments was conducted on TREC-KBA-2013 dataset. The results show that the model can significantly achieve a better performance gain compared to state-of-the-art models in CCR.

An Effective RAID Data Layout for Object-Based De-duplication Backup System

We propose an alternative Redundant array of independent disks(RAID) data layout, Asymmetrical grouping data organization(AGDO), for object-based data de-duplication backup system. Object-based data deduplication is an effective solution for detecting duplicate data for compound files. We designed an asymmetrical grouping strategy, the disk in the array are partitioned into different groups, and in each group parallelism data access scheme is adopted, different types of objects are stored in different groups with maybe different group size, it can set and manage dynamic group size by using dynamic disk group adjustment algorithms. The performance of AGDO is evaluated and proved to be sufficient for the continuous storage application. The result is that disk accesses are concentrated in a part of the disks over a long time period and reduces the power consumption to 25% in a 10-disk configuration. Moreover, object-based de-duplication combined with AGDO has great potential in increasing data restoration speed for compound files. We have shown that this combination makes average restoration speed improved 11%.

When Factorization Meets Heterogeneous Latent Topics： An Interpretable Cross-Site Recommendation Framework

Data sparsity is a well-known challenge in recommender systems. Previous studies alleviate this problem by incorporating the information within the corresponding social media site. In this paper, we solve this challenge by exploring cross-site information. Specifically, we examine： 1） how to effectively and efficiently utilize cross-site ratings and content features to improve recommendation performance and 2） how to make the recommendation interpretable by utilizing content features. We propose a joint model of matrix factorization and latent topic analysis. Heterogeneous content features are modeled by multiple kinds of latent topics. In addition, the combination of matrix factorization and latent topics makes the recommendation result interpretable. Therefore, the above two issues are simultaneously solved. Through a real-world ***, where user behaviors in three social media sites are collected, we demonstrate that the proposed model is effective in improving recommendation performance and interpreting the rationale of ratings.
