Topic popularity prediction is an important task on social media, which aims at predicting the ongoing trends of topics according to logged historical text-based records. However, only limited existing approaches apply sentiment analysis to facilitate popularity prediction. Public sentiment is worth taking into consideration because the topics with strong sentiment tend to spread faster and broader on social media. In this paper, we propose a novel framework, SENTI2POP, to predict topic popularity utilizing sentiment information. We first adapt a state-of-art popularity quantification method to capture the topic popularity, and then design a novel tree-like network (Tree-Net) combining Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) for sentiment analysis. In addition, we propose a sentiment-aware time series prediction approach based on Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) and Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average model (ARIMA) to predict topic popularity. We prove by experiments that SENTI2POP outperforms the existing popularity prediction models on a real-world Twitter dataset by reducing the prediction error. Experimental results also show that SENTI2POP could be applied to improve the accuracy of most non-sentiment popularity prediction models.

Although showing competitive performances in many real world optimization problems, Teaching Learning based Optimization Algorithm (TLBO) has been criticized for having poor control on exploration and exploitation. Addressing these issues, a new variant of TLBO called Adaptive Fuzzy Teaching Learning based Optimization (ATLBO) has been developed in the literature. This paper describes the adoption of Fuzzy Adaptive Fuzzy Teaching Learning based Optimization (ATLBO) for software module clustering problem. Comparative studies with the original Teaching Learning based Optimization (TLBO) and other Fuzzy TLBO variant demonstrate that ATLBO gives superior performance owing to its adaptive selection of search operators based on the need of the current search. The desire to share and unite remote digital assets motivated the development of the classical internet, the enabler of the entire 21st century economy and our modern way of life. As we enter the quantum era, it is to be expected there will be a similar demand for networking quantum assets, motivating a global quantum internet for bringing together the world's quantum resources, leveraging off their exponential trajectory in capability. We present models for quantum networking, how they might be applied in the future, and the implications they will have. Socially, economically, politically and geostrategically, the upcoming era of quantum supremacy will be as significant for the 21st century as the transistor was for the 20th. The inherently different scaling in the computational power of quantum computers fundamentally changes the dynamics of how they will operate in the future. Given their high expected initial cost, a client/server model for outsourcing computation will be essential for enabling the accessibility and proliferation of this technology, and ensuring its economic viability. We therefore anticipate the emergence of cloud quantum computing, a model for outsourcing quantum computations to the network. We argue that economic efficiency will mandate that all future quantum computers be united into a single global virtual quantum computer, offering exponentially more power to all network participants than if they were to keep their resources to themselves. This model for the allocation of computational resources is uniquely quantum, with no classical analogue, completely altering the economic landscape for the future of computation. Given the sensitivity of much of the data to which future quantum computers are going to foreseeably be applied, protocols for encrypted quantum computation will be essential - the outsourcing of computations that neither an eavesdropper nor even the server performing the computation can spy upon. With an ever-increasing number of resources on the Web, different language resources such as newspapers, magazines, and articles have become available. This demands for an improved technique in the information retrieval to extirpate the communication barrier among languages. Search engines are the cornerstones for informational contents and the link between the two parties of publishing and retrieval of content. Moreover, the search for information is no longer narrowed to users of the native language of the original source. Most of the non-English users such as Arabic speakers are unable to express the terms in their own language. Also, the terminologies written in the native language of the source are acquired from the English language. This challenge drives users to use mixed terms (multilingual terms) to get better results, especially in the scientific domain. This paper attempts to address the problem of documents retrieval using multilingual queries. When users use mixed queries, the results of the multilingual documents will dominate the top of the retrieved documents rather than other relevant documents, and the scores of the mixed documents obtain extra weight values that are not really part of their actual weighting value. This paper proposes a novel method to improve the results of the retrieved documents by adjusting the score of multilingual documents. For experiments, we used a mixed test collection containing mixedlanguage documents (Arabic and English). The results showed that the proposed method led to an enhanced performance in documents retrieval from multilingual queries which made them relevant, effective and accurate thus proving that our approach is more reliable than other traditional approaches.

The low earth orbit (LEO) satellite network has been a valuable architecture due to its characteristics of wide coverage and low transmission delay. Utilizing LEO satellites as edge computing nodes to provide real-time services for access terminals will be the indispensable paradigm of integrated space-air-ground network. However, it is not easy to design resource management strategies in edge computing satellite (ECS), considering different accessing planes and resource requirements of terminals. Moreover, a comprehensive analysis of the network topology, relative motion, and available resources is required to establish ECS collaborative networks. To address these problems, the dynamic resource allocation architecture and advanced K-means algorithm (AKA) in ECSs are proposed. Then, the extended graph model and breadth-first-search-based spanning tree (BFST) algorithm are utilized to guide the inter-satellite link (ISL) construction. As a result, the ECS collaborative network is established with fine-grained resource management. Simulation results show that the proposed fine-grained resource management scheme is feasible and effective.

Blockchain-enabled authentication handover with efficient privacy protection in SDN-based 5G networks

5G mobile networks provide additional benefits in terms of lower latency, higher data rates, and more coverage, in comparison to 4G networks, and they are also coming close to standardization. For example, 5G has a new level of data transfer and processing speed that assures users are not disconnected when they move from one cell to another;thus, supporting faster connection. However, it comes with its own technical challenges relating to resource management, authentication handover and user privacy protection. In 5G, the frequent displacement of the users among the cells as a result of repeated authentication handovers often lead to a delay, contradicting the 5G objectives. In this paper, we propose a new authentication approach that utilizes blockchain and software defined networking (SDN) techniques to remove the re-authentication in repeated handover among heterogeneous cells. The proposed approach is designed to assure the low delay, appropriate for the 5G network in which users can be replaced with the least delay among heterogeneous cells using their public and private keys provided by the devised blockchain component while protecting their privacy. In our comparison between Proof-of-Work (POW)-based and network-based models, the delay of our authentication handover was shown to be less than 1ms. Also, our approach demonstrated less signaling overhead and energy consumption compared to peer models. Copyright © 2019, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Nowadays, the h-index is an index that attempts to measure both the productivity and impact of the published work of a scientist or scholar. The index is based upon the set of the scientist's most cited papers and the number of citations that they have received in other publications. Besides, the most commonly used measure of journal quality is Impact Factor. This is a number which attempts to measure the impact of a journal in terms of the average number of citations to recent articles published in the journal. So, receiving more citation is very important for authors and journals to get high h-index and impact factor. In this paper, we tried to analyses the effect of the number of available version from the web on receive more citations. We analyzed 10162 papers which are published in Scopus database in year 2010. Energy demand in most African countries is insufficient thereby hindering economic development. By leveraging renewable technologies, the control and management of renewable micro-grids requires a robust/reliable design that supports smart integration via Cloud for dynamic service delivery. Motivated by this concern, this paper developed smart green energy management system (SGEMS) for optimizing demand side management (DSM) in renewable micro-grids. The architecture employs solar photovoltaic (PV) to generate energy and meters user consumption pattern. SGEMS global model for solar PV metering platform is introduced including structured OpenStack Cloud application with active load-balancers, Trove/Hadoop Bigdata application program interface (API), OpenFlow firewall, and dynamic network scaling. These features manage user access with little computational overhead. An experimental demonstration of OpenStack/Amazon EC2 instance scenarios for transactional workload is briefly highlighted. The work discussed the usefulness of OpenStack engine as a distributed API middleware for SGEMS-energy application running on AWS EC2.

In recent years, there has been rapid growth in developing smart cities. Nearly 70% of the Earthâ€™s surface is covered by water and a large proportion of underwater environments are still unknown and have not been explored. In this context, Internet of things (IoT) is one of the most important technologies used in smart cities. Due to the growth of IoT and its influence in all areas of human life, including the underwater environment, a new class of IoT, called Internet of underwater things (IoUT) has emerged. IoUT includes a network of underwater smart devices that are connected to each other and has applications in environmental monitoring, underwater exploration, disaster prevention and military. In autonomous interactions of underwater devices, objects must be authenticated and securely interconnected to avoid security risks by malicious nodes. Most authentication methods and security mechanisms are centralized and often require a trustful third party in communications, which may well increase the computation cost and energy consumption due to the subsequent overhead, especially for underwater communications. On the other hand, there are restrictions on devices in the underwater environment, the most important of which are energy constraints. In this paper, we propose a robust, transparent, and energy-efficient decentralized authentication mechanism for IoUT using blockchain technology. We show through results that the proposed method is suitable for underwater devices with limited memory, energy, and computational power. The proposed modelâ€™s decentralized authentication in a cluster network has a significant effect on reducing the energy consumption of the devices by 74.63% compared to classic authentication methods. Moreover, using the proposed method allows a savings of more than 41.9% in end-to-end delay and increases delivery rate by 21.6%.
