Energy time series are characterized by stochasticity, short-term periodicity, and long-term periodicity. Many traditional models such as the autoregressive model, Gaussian process regression are unable to capture the complex time relationships of energy time series. Recurrent neural networks (RNNs), which are widely used for energy time series forecasting, are prone to gradient disappearance or gradient explosion when processing a long sequence data. Thus, RNNs are failed to capture the complete information of the whole long sequence data. To extract complex irregular patterns of energy time series and selectively learn spatio-temporal features, a Temporal Attention Convolution Network (TACN) is proposed in this paper. This structure can extract spatial and temporal features of energy time series, which full filled with our demand. Firstly, to solve the problem that RNNs are prone to information loss when processing the long sequence data, a temporal convolutional network (TCN) is introduced. TCN enables the output to capture the complete information of the whole long sequence data. Then, to reinforce the TCN for extracting effective spatio-temporal features, Squeeze-and-Excitation Network (SENet), a module for computing channel attention, was introduced to this TCN structure. By applying this module, the ability of the acquisition of important channel information has been enhanced. Finally, to further improve the robustness of the model, an autoregressive linear module is constructed to capture the linear relationship among the variables. Experiments on the publicly available datasets Electricity and Solar-Energy show that compare with existing deep learning models, TACN achieves more ideal performance. © 2022 SPIE. Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) is a non-invasive, non-ionizing medical imaging method that has been on the rise in biomedical field. For lung monitoring, electrodes are attached around patient's thorax. Several boundary voltages are measured on the surface of these electrodes, which result from the injection of a small alternating current. Based on these measurements, the inner conductivity distribution of the patient's lung can be determined and used for monitoring and diagnosis. EIT can be used for extended periods of time, which makes it ideal for continuous monitoring, especially for intensive care patients. Several stationary EIT-based lung monitoring platforms have been developed for this reason. In this work, however, we propose a web and cloud-based monitoring solution that allows remote access for the doctors and medical staff. The implemented solution provides real-time, continuous monitoring as well as a visualization of extracted lung features that aid the diagnosis, © 2022 IEEE.

Due to the excellent mechanical,chemical,and electrical properties of third-generation semiconductor silicon carbide(SiC),pressure sensors utilizing this material might be able to operate in extreme environments with temperatures exceeding 300℃.However,the significant output drift at elevated temperatures challenges the precision and stability of ***-time in situ temperature monitoring of the pressure sensor chip is highly important for the accurate compensation of the pressure *** this study,we fabricate platinum(Pt)thin-film resistance temperature detectors(RTDs)on a SiC substrate by incorporating aluminum oxide(Al_(2)O_(3))as the transition layer and utilizing aluminum nitride(AIN)grooves for alignment through microfabrication *** composite layers strongly adhere to the substrate at temperatures reaching 950℃,and the interface of the Al2O3/Pt bilayer remains stable at elevated temperatures of approximately 950 *** stability contributes to the excellent high-temperature electrical performance of the Pt RTD,enabling it to endure temperatures exceeding 850℃ with good *** characteristics establish a basis for the future integration of Pt RTD in SiC pressure ***,tests and analyses are conducted on the interfacial diffusion,surface morphological,microstructural,and electrical properties of the Pt flms at various annealing *** can be inferred that the tensile stress and self-diffusion of Pt films lead to the formation of hillocks,ultimately reducing the electrical performance of the Pt thin-flm *** increase the upper temperature threshold,steps should be taken to prevent the agglomeration of Pt films.

This paper presents a high-precision control method based on the model-following control (MFC) and equivalent-input-disturbance (EID) approaches. The MFC approach ensures that the output of the plant tracks the output of a desired nominal model. The EID estimates and eliminates an external disturbance. The combination of these two methods effectively achieves high-precision tracking. The validity of this method is demonstrated by a vibration-suppression example through simulations. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper presents a novel approach for degraded face recognition using Vision Transformer (ViT) architectures. The process begins by inputting occluded face images into a Transformer encoder, which extracts discriminative features and creates an embedding vector essential for the de-occlusion process. In the next step, a Transformer decoder refines this representation by incorporating non-occluded features from the ground truth image, employing self-attention mechanisms to integrate information from both the embedding vector and ground truth features. The decoder outputs a comprehensive image of the occluded face, enriched with details from the input and ground truth images. Finally, the decoder generates a non-occluded face image, accurately reconstructing the occluded features. ViT in both encoder and decoder stages ensures efficient extraction and refinement of facial information, balancing memory and time constraints for optimal performance even in severe degradation conditions. The study uses two publicly available datasets, EKFD and IST-EURECOM LFFD. It evaluates the effectiveness of face recognition algorithms under various levels of face degradation such as partial occlusions, lighting variations, head poses, and facial expression changes.

Hyperentanglement is a promising resource for achieving high capacity quantum ***,we propose a compact scheme for the generation of path-frequency hyperentangled photon pairs via spontaneous parametric down-conversion(SPDC)processes,where six different paths and two different frequencies are covered.A two-dimensional periodicalχ^((2))nonlinear photonic crystal(NPC)is designed to satisfy type-Ⅰquasi-phase-matching conditions in the plane perpendicular to the incident pump beam,and a perfect phase match is achieved along the pump beam's direction to ensure high conversion efficiency,with theoretically estimated photon flux up to 2.068×10^(5) pairs·s^(-1)·mm^(-2).We theoretically calculate the joint-spectral amplitude(JSA)of the generated photon pair and perform Schmidt decomposition on it,where the resulting entropy S of entanglement and effective Schmidt rank K reach 3.2789 and 6.4675,*** hyperentangled photon source scheme could provide new avenues for high-dimensional quantum communication and high-speed quantum information processing.

Halide perovskites exhibit high performance in all sorts of optoelectronic and photonic areas, suggesting their huge potential in integrated photonic devices. However, until now, all optical logic gates based on perovskites are still rarely explored, hindering the development of all-optical networks and computing. Herein, a new concept of all-optical logic gates is proposed based on the modulation of photoluminescence(PL) from perovskite nanocrystals(PNCs). A hierarchical photonic crystal(Hie PhC) is developed by self-assembling polystyrene(PS) and SiO2nanoparticles, which exhibit a higher PL enhancement than that of a monolayer PhC. Moreover, the light-controlled PL is realized by taking advantage of the high thermal response of the PL from PNCs/Hie PhC on polyethylene(PE) substrate, assisted by a graphene layer for light-heat conversion. Consequently, optical diode and triode are achieved based on the modulated PL, which exhibit contrast ratios(CR) of 24.7 and 74.0 dB, ***-optical logic gates, including “AND”, “OR” and “NOT”, are realized based on the optical diode and triode.

During the first generation of home intervention and support, complaints were usually triggered by telephone call. In most situations needs where described orally;there were no sufficient information neither on the patient's condition nor on his medical history. Thanks to the advance of technology, especially systems based on data mining, artificial intelligence time is saved, and immediate service is offered. Although home intervention and care have been the subject of numerous studies, the resolution of the overall decision-making problem is not sufficiently developed. Due to the lack of information such as the state of health of a patient, the set of parameters characterizing the daily life habits of the person analyzed in parallel with the evolution of physiological and environmental parameters. In addition to that, it is necessary to take into consideration the Medical Core, his location, his profile not only his professional status, but also his capacities and skills, which are not explicitly described in his curriculum. Different studies and systems exist in literature. Each them takes into account only part of the parameters. Indeed, these studies face either the monitoring of daily activities, the monitoring of physiological data or other environmental part. Either they take into account the specific features of the medical core profile. Either these systems use probabilistic data mining, which involves many interactions with experts to interpret the data, or an expert system based on the rules of inference defined by medical experts. In addition, most do not use controlled vocabulary, which provides semantics to the system. This complicates information sharing and collaborative work. We proposed in a previous work an ontology-based solution [3], the goal is to help the collaborator to make a decision and to draw new information. as the complexity of the data increases, so does the need to deal with uncertainty. With increasing people who suffer from diet-related diseases, providing suggestions for personal daily nutrient-dense intake is highly expected. However, current dietary nutrition models are less precise, and dietary nutrition optimizers usually fail to give satisfactory solutions. Therefore, we construct a constrained many-objective nutrition model with more precise nutrient assessments and a scalable constrained many-objective benchmark set. This test suite has great flexibility in evaluating algorithms' performance on high dimensional search and objective spaces with some feasible region fragments. We also propose a kd-tree based dynamic constrained many-objective evolutionary algorithm to search for customized food combinations according to personal daily consumption and intake preference. Experiments show that our algorithm has better diversity maintenance ability in high dimension space. © 2023 IEEE.
