The development of critical thinking, creativity, and communication abilities is facilitated by the acquisition of writing skills, which are significant for students. Nevertheless, a considerable number of students presently encounter difficulties in locating the impetus and enthusiasm required for engagement in writing endeavors. The focus of the present paper is application design. The VBee application is a web-based application that facilitates the expression of user creativity and fosters a deeper appreciation for the art of writing. The application boasts a highly intuitive interface that effortlessly enables users to document their thoughts and experiences. It offers a plethora of features that not only facilitate writing but also foster self-expression, including customizable emoticons and the option to provide feedback. By designing the application, it could help support vocational school students in improving the quality of skill-focused education, particularly their English creative writing skill in enjoyment. Besides, the teachers are assisted to guide their students with technologically advanced and entertaining learning tools.

The evolution of health professions education has increased reliance on learning and development specialists for creating new instructional and curricular resources. To facilitate collaboration between health professions educators (HPE) and these instructional specialists, we present a transdisciplinary model called Agile eVidence-Informed design (AVIdesign). Traditional systematic design processes can be cumbersome for HP educators, resulting in a need for more adaptable approaches. AVIdesign builds on established systematic and agile design principles to improve practical application in health professions education. AVIdesign steps correlate with the familiar steps used in the practice of evidence-based medicine (EBM) used for patient care. Three detailed design cases illustrate step-by-step applications of this model in health professions education, demonstrating how it supports real-world curriculum development in diverse instructional settings.

Image segmentation is an essential component in many different types of computer vision systems. Image segmentation is used in order to identify objects and boundaries within pictures. It is important to note that the success of recognition algorithms is heavily dependent on the quality of the picture segmentation, and there is yet no technique that can universally segment images. Boundary detection has a long history of being recognised as one of the most difficult challenges in the fields of image processing and pattern analysis, in particular, when it comes to applications in medical imaging. The clarity of the picture is being muddled by more information, which is the source of the problem's complexity. The creation of segmentation algorithms for medical pictures is an active field of study, and segmentation algorithms are meant to account for a variety of factors, including noise, intensity inhomogeneity, poor contrast between the lesion and the surrounding skin, and so on. There is currently no active contour model that combines the locally statistical property of being more noise-resistant, in which the intensities in the transformed domain have less overlapping in the statistics, and the locally image fitting property of extracting the local image information in order to be able to segment images with intensity inhomogeneity. This is because there is no such model. So the proposed work includes Ant colony optimization based double threshold segmentation in medical images. Performance of the proposed algorithm is more efficient, reliable and accurate than the existing algorithm. Performance parameters such as segmentation accuracy, error rate, and Dice co-efficient are used in order to conduct the evaluation of the proposed work.
Despite decades of research exploring augmented reality in a variety of contexts, there have been very few studies exploring the use of commercially available components and a software development kit that is user-fri...

Autonomous systems are able to make decisions and potentially take actions without direct human intervention, which requires some knowledge about the system and its environment as well as goal-oriented reasoning. In computer systems, one can derive such behavior from the concept of a rational agent with autonomy (“control over its own actions”), reactivity (“react to events from the environment”), proactivity (“act on its own initiative”), and sociality (“interact with other agents”) as fundamental properties \n[1]\n. Autonomous systems will undoubtedly pervade into our everyday lives, and we will find them in a variety of domains and applications including robotics, transportation, health care, communications, and entertainment to name a few. \nThe articles in this month’s special issue cover concepts and fundamentals, architectures and techniques, and applications and case studies in the exciting area of self-awareness in autonomous systems.
