The food supply chain at present is important to the human and there have a lot of transportation modes to distribute food from manufacturer to customer also business to business. The customers there need fresh food and the providers always find the best way in logistics that send their food to customers with the best quality and fresh, that is why the cold chain of logistics is popular and needs to improve more for the customers. However, there is no clear way to improve the performance and assessment of food logistics service, the aim of this study focused on service quality of food logistics and identify a set of service quality dimensions that developed from the SERVQUAL model for measuring their logistics process after that researcher prioritized the dimensions and sub-dimensions by Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and finalize the local weight and global weight from AHP result. Finally, this research has shown the providers and the customers were prioritized for punctuality in food logistics service. It should be concern and improvement about punctuality in a food logistics service at the same time, the worst dimension of the provider's perspective is tangible and the customer perspective is empathy, that they did not pay attention it should be improved later.

Enabling Technologies for Industry 4.0 Manufacturing and supply chain: Concepts, Current Status, and Adoption Challenges

Purpose: This article aims to evaluate the current adoption of Industry 4.0, enabling technologies (I4.0-ET) in the manufacturing and supply chain management (SCM) context. The evaluation provides insights on critical concepts, current status, and adoption challenges. Further, a summation of underexplored research areas in the I4.0-ET context is presented. Methodology: This article applies a systematic literature review approach to present essential literature across multiple databases. The search scope includes Scopus, Web of Science, Science Direct, EBSCO, and ProQuest. Research publications have systematically been selected with a focus on the adoption of I4.0-ET to provide collective insights through theoretical synthesis into fields and subfields. The selected publications are further classified into five groups depending on relevance to manufacturing and SCM to aid additional visualizations. Findings: The article reveals 65% of the articles published between 2015 and 2019. An in-depth analysis of these publications shows the adoption of I4.0-ET in the manufacturing and supply chain sector gained attention in recent years and is still at a nascent stage. There are substantial challenges that need to be addressed to accelerate adoption. These challenges are discussed in detail as avenues for future research. Practical Implications: This article facilitates practicing managers toward enabling technologies concepts, challenges, and risks linked with its adoption in manufacturing and SCM. The discussions help frame strategies to prioritize efforts for I4.0-ET incorporation. Originality: This article is among the first to provide theoretical contributions by performing in-depth analysis and classification of existing literature on the adoption of I4.0-ET in manufacturing and SCM context. © 1973-2011 IEEE.

Cost Sharing in a Shipping Market with Empty Container Repositioning

In this paper, we study the cost sharing and pricing issue in a two-port shipping market with one carrier and two forwarders. The Stackelberg leader carrier authorizes two forwarders to collect cargoes at different ports and then transports laden and empty containers. We first build a model to investigate the carrier's optimal cost sharing and pricing strategy. We find that the carrier will transfer all the empty container repositioning (ECR) cost to the forwarder of low demand if imbalance exists and transfer all the ECR cost to the forwarder in the high unit ECR cost direction otherwise. As a result, the forwarder who completely takes the ECR cost will have less profit compared to the model without cost sharing. Therefore, we build another two models to motivate all the players to accept the ECR cost sharing policy. We also conduct some numerical analysis to compare all these models. We find that there is a salient conflict between profit maximization and ECR minimization. © 2021, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The main purpose of this paper is to analyze correlation and explore the logistics scorecard factors that are influencing the implementation of financial performance in the Thai industry. The data collected from the logistics scorecard appraisal forms of 254 sectors in Thailand. Factor Analysis (Principal component analysis: PCA) Technique was applied to the construct validity of factors to extract factors of logistics scorecard indicators from all 23 items. The factor scores of the generated elements were analyzed by using correlation techniques and regression analysis with dependent variables as selected financial ratios. The results of the paper demonstrated that three organizational factors were Organizational Management and development factor, Service and Responsiveness factor and Information Management factor. Also, the Information Management factor influenced Receivable Turnover Ratio, Assets to Equity ratio and Debt to Equity ratio at a significant level. © 2019 ACM.

Bilinear singular systems can be used in the investigation of different types of engineering *** the past decade,considerable attention has been paid to analyzing and synthesizing singular bilinear *** importance lies in their real world application such as economic,ecological,and socioeconomic *** are also applied in several biological processes,such as population dynamics of biological species,water balance,temperature regulation in the human body,carbon dioxide control in lungs,blood pressure,immune system,cardiac regulation,*** singular systems naturally represent different physical processes such as the fundamental law of mass action,the DC motor,the induction motor drives,the mechanical brake systems,aerial combat between two aircraft,the missile intercept problem,modeling and control of small furnaces and hydraulic rotary multimotor *** current research work discusses the Legendre Neural Network’s implementation to evaluate time-varying singular bilinear systems for finding the exact *** results were obtained from two methods namely the RK-Butcher algorithm and the Runge Kutta Arithmetic Mean(RKAM)*** with the results attained from Legendre Neural Network Method for time-varying singular bilinear systems,the output proved to be *** such,this research article established that the proposed Legendre Neural Network could be easily implemented in *** can obtain the solution for any length of time from this method in time-varying singular bilinear systems.

Research into simulation modelling to support disaster management has focused on large disasters. In some regions, there are frequent small-to-medium scale disasters, which require daily decisions to be made. These are typically described as routine emergencies. For example, in Indonesia's West Java province, on average, there were 4.6 disasters per day between 2016 and 2020. This paper presents a simulation model of relief food distribution to refugees in a region that is vulnerable to multiple disasters on a daily basis. To illustrate how the model can support disaster management decision making, we use the West Java case. The model demonstrates that the current warehouse locations and routing heuristic can cope with the demand; however, improvements are needed to cope with an expected increase in the demand due to an increased number of disasters as a result of climate change and a growing population.

Providing an efficient supply chain master planning is vital to companies to achieve competitive advantage. In this point of view, we propose the fuzzy multi-objective linear model with α-cut analysis to achieve the optimal supply chain master planning in an uncertain environment. The supply chain master planning problem;one manufacturer, multiple suppliers, and multiple distribution centers, is considered under two conflicting objectives where operating costs, demand, and production capacity are imprecise. The first objective is to minimize the total costs of logistics and the other objective is to maximize total value of purchasing. The proposed model and solution method are validated through numerical example. Computational results indicate that α-cut analysis is introduced to ensure decision makers that the result satisfies their preferences based on a specified minimum allowed satisfaction value (α). © 2019 ACM.

Integrating digitalization and warehouse management systems (WMS) is a crucial aspect of enhancing supply chain performance for strategic competitiveness. Multiple technologies promote digital development and supply chain management (SCM) transformation. They include artificial intelligence and robotics, cloud computing, 3D printing, advanced analytics, blockchain, augmented reality, radio frequency identification (RFID), the internet of things (IoT), and cloud technology. This research aims to identify and evaluate the factors of digitalization, WMS, and supply chain performance by combining a comprehensive literature review analysis with the grey decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) method. An extensive literature review is conducted to identify the primary determinants of supply chain performance. Subsequently, the expert panel from the textile industry is consulted to obtain expert opinions on these factors’ relative importance. The findings of this study demonstrated that by considering the interdependencies on supply chain performance and the uncertainties related to expert judgments, the suggested comprehensive model is highly capable of addressing the digitalization WMS problem © 2023 The Author(s)

This research is to evaluate the effect of knowledge management (KM) on decision-making levels of supply chain (DMSC) in relations to organizational performance (OP). This research has gathered questionnaire survey from 255 Thai manufacturing firms. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was utilized to create a causal model to assess the relationships in between KM, DMSC and OP. The result has shown that KM strongly correlates with both DMSC and OP. © 2019 ACM.
