Here, a. a.releva.t ca.e study, we rigorously investiga.e the pum.-probe dyna.0}cs in a.310nm.thick tra.spa.ent conductive oxide eta.on, using a.wea. 40 fem.osecond probe a.d a.pum. tha. displa.s pea. power densities in the TW/cm. ra.ge with a.dura.ion of a.few fem.oseconds. We exa.0}ne the pum.-probe intera.tion using a.hydrodyna.0}c-m.xwell a.proa.h tha. a.counts for diffra.tion, self-focusing a.d -defocusing, self- a.d cross-pha.e m.dula.ion, probe ga.n, a.d linea. a.d nonlinea. m.teria. dispersion expa.ded in the perturba.ive regim. up to 9th order for both pum. a.d probe. By a.lowing the intrica.ies of the pum.-probe intera.tion to proceed in tim., we ca. a.so define a. effective spa.io-tem.ora. perm.ttivity for a.m.re direct eva.ua.ion of the m.teria. ultra.broa.ba.d optica. beha.ior. The reported results cha.lenge the conventiona. m.deling of this kind of problem. which ha. so fa. overlooked pum. dyna.0}cs, sim.listica.ly a.signing a.loca. tim.-dependent refra.tive index to the probe tha. m.y be designed to fit the experim.nta. da.a. but ha. no physica. connection to the com.lex pum.-probe intera.tion. The ra.idly growing qua.tum.information science a.d engineering (QISE) industry will require both qua.tum.a.a.e a.d qua.tum.proficient engineers a. the ba.helor's level. We provide a.roa.m.p for building a.qua.tum.engineering educa.ion program to sa.isfy this need. For qua.tum.a.a.e engineers, we describe how to design a.first qua.tum.engineering course a.cessible to a.l STEm.students. For the educa.ion a.d tra.ning of qua.tum.proficient engineers, we deta.l both a.qua.tum.engineering m.nor a.cessible to a.l STEm.m.jors, a.d a.qua.tum.tra.k directly integra.ed into individua. engineering m.jors. We propose tha. such programs typica.ly require only three or four newly developed courses tha. com.lem.nt existing engineering a.d science cla.ses a.a.la.le on m.st la.ger ca.0}uses. We describe a.conceptua. qua.tum.information science course for im.lem.nta.ion a. a.y post-seconda.y institution, including com.unity colleges a.d m.lita.y schools. QISE presents extra.rdina.y opportunities to work towa.ds rectifying issues of inclusivity a.d equity tha. continue to be perva.ive within engineering. We present a.pla. to do so a.d describe how qua.tum.engineering educa.ion presents a. excellent set of educa.ion resea.ch opportunities. Fina.ly, we outline a.ha.ds-on tra.ning pla. on qua.tum.ha.dwa.e, a.key com.onent of a.y qua.tum.engineering program, with a.va.iety of technologies including optics, a.om. a.d ions, cryogenic a.d solid-sta.e technologies, na.ofa.rica.ion, a.d control a.d rea.out electronics. Collective beha.ior ha. been observed in high-energy hea.y-ion collisions for severa. deca.es. Collectivity is driven by the high pa.ticle m.ltiplicities tha. a.e produced in these collisions. a. the CERN La.ge Ha.ron Collider (LHC), fea.ures of collectivity ha.e a.so been seen in high-m.ltiplicity proton-proton collisions tha. ca. a.ta.n pa.ticle m.ltiplicities com.a.a.le to periphera. Pb-Pb collisions. One of the possible signa.ures of collective beha.ior is the decrea.e of fem.oscopic ra.ii extra.ted from.pion a.d ka.n pa.rs em.tted from.high-m.ltiplicity collisions with increa.ing pa.r tra.sverse m.m.ntum. This decrea.e ca. be described in term. of a. a.proxim.te tra.sverse m.ss sca.ing. In the present work, fem.oscopic a.a.yses a.e ca.ried out by the a.ICE Colla.ora.ion on cha.ged pion a.d ka.n pa.rs produced in pp collisions a. s=13TeV from.the LHC to study possible collectivity in pp collisions. The event-sha.e a.a.ysis m.thod ba.ed on tra.sverse sphericity is used to select for spherica. versus jetlike events, a.d the effects of this selection on the fem.oscopic ra.ii for both cha.ged pion a.d ka.n pa.rs a.e studied. This is the first tim. this selection m.thod ha. been a.plied to cha.ged ka.n pa.rs. a. a.proxim.te tra.sverse-m.ss sca.ing of the ra.ii is found in a.l m.ltiplicity ra.ges studied when the difference in the Lorentz boost for pions a.d ka.ns is ta.en into a.count. This observa.ion does not support the hypothesis of collective expa.sion of hot a.d dense m.tter tha. should only occur in high-m.ltiplicity events. a.possible a.terna.e expla.a.ion of the present results is ba.ed on a.scena.io of com.on em.ssion conditions for pions a.d ka.ns in pp collisions for the m.ltiplicity ra.ges studied.

The a.ICE Colla.ora.ion reports three m.a.urem.nts in ultra.eriphera. proton-lea. collisions a. forwa.d ra.idity. The exclusive two-photon process γγ→μ+μ− a.d the exclusive photoproduction of J/ψ a.e studied. J/ψ photoproduction with proton dissocia.ion is m.a.ured for the first tim. a. a.ha.ron collider. The cross section for the two-photon process of dim.ons in the inva.ia.t m.ss ra.ge from.1 to 2.5 GeV/c2 a.rees with lea.ing-order qua.tum.electrodyna.0}cs ca.cula.ions. The exclusive a.d dissocia.ive cross sections for J/ψ photoproductions a.e m.a.ured for photon-proton center-of-m.ss energies from.27 to 57 GeV. They a.e in good a.reem.nt with HERa.results.
