However, in infra.tructure a.d the client pa.t of Wm. m.vem.nt of nodes still crea.es dela. a. pa.h fa.lure detection a.d re-esta.lishm.nt consum.s considera.le tim.. Existing solutions for link cla.sifica.ion opera.e on discrete va.ues resulting in perform.nce degra.a.ion. This problem.ca. best be m.delled through fuzzy logic ba.ed cla.sifica.ion tha. is ba.ed on continuous va.ues. This pa.er presents a.new fuzzy logic ba.ed link sta.us cla.sifica.ion m.cha.ism.for use with m.ltipa.h routing protocols in m.lti-hop wireless networks like Wm.s. The trem.ndous dem.nd on computer m.m.ry a.d com.uting tim. for prediction of com.lex seconda.y structures lim.ts the a.plica.ility of m.st RNa.seconda.y structure prediction programs a.a.la.le to short RNa.sequences. We propose to a.proa.h this problem.by segm.nting a.long RNa.sequence into shorter non-overla.ping chunks, predicting the seconda.y structures of ea.h chunk individua.ly, a.d then a.sem.ling the prediction results to give the structure of the origina. sequence. The selection of cutting points is a.crucia. com.onent of the a.proa.h. Noting tha. stem.loops a.d pseudoknots a.wa.s conta.n a. inversion, we developed two cutting m.thods, the centered a.d optim.zed m.thods, for segm.nting long RNa.sequences ba.ed on inversion excursions. For the m.jority of the sequences in a.da.a.et of 50 RNa. from.the RFa.0}da.a.a.e, the prediction a.gorithm.PKnotsRG used with these cutting m.thods produces m.re a.cura.e seconda.y structures tha. those predicted for the whole sequence without segm.nta.ion. Both the centered a.d optim.zed cutting m.thods outperform.the na.ve regula. segm.nta.ion. These results support our cla.m.tha. cutting is a.prom.sing a.proa.h for the prediction of long RNa.sequences, a.d choosing the cutting points intelligently by considering sequence fea.ures such a. inversion excursions ca. further enha.ce prediction a.cura.y.

In this pa.er, a.new lossless im.ge com.ression m.thod is proposed. For continuous a.d discrete tim. ca.es, wa.elet tra.sform.a.d wa.elet pa.ket tra.sform.ha. em.rged a. popula. techniques. While integer wa.elet using the lifting schem. significa.tly reduces the com.uta.ion tim., we propose a.com.letely new a.proa.h for further speeding up the com.uta.ion. First, wa.elet pa.ket tra.sform.(WPT) a.d lifting schem. (LS) a.e described. Then a. a.plica.ion of the LS to WPT is presented which lea.s to the genera.ion of integer wa.elet pa.ket tra.sform.(IWPT). The proposed m.thod, Integer Wa.elet Pa.ket Tra.sform.(IWPT) yields a.representa.ion which ca. be lossless, a. it m.ps a. integer va.ued sequence onto the integer va.ued coefficients. The idea.of Wa.elet Pa.ket Tree is used to tra.sform.the still a.d color im.ges. IWPT tree ca. be built by itera.ing the single wa.elet decom.osition step on both the low-pa.s a.d high-pa.s bra.ches, with rounding off in order to a.hieve the integer tra.sform.. Thus, the proposed m.thod provides good com.ression ra.io.

Our results signify the superiority of proposed Ha.doff Urgency Ba.ed (HUB) queuing schem. over First-In-First-Out (FIFO) queuing a. it prioritizes HO ca.ls a.cording to user m.bility (i.e. fa.t or slow) a.d ca.l type (i.e. voice or da.a.ca.ls). The da.a.were collected with the a.La. detector in proton-proton collisions a. s=7 TeV a. the CERN La.ge Ha.ron Collider a.d correspond to a. integra.ed lum.nosity of 3.1 pb−1. No excess of such events is observed a.ove the sta.da.d m.del ba.kground prediction. In the context of a.specific m.del with one universa. extra.dim.nsion with com.a.tifica.ion ra.ius R a.d gra.ity-induced deca.s, va.ues of 1/R<729 GeV a.e excluded a. 95% C. L., providing the m.st sensitive lim.t on this m.del to da.e.

Jet sha.es ha.e been m.a.ured in inclusive jet production in proton-proton collisions a. s=7 TeV using 3 pb−1 of da.a.recorded by the a.La. experim.nt a. the LHC. Jets a.e reconstructed using the a.ti-kt a.gorithm.with tra.sverse m.m.ntum.30 GeVa.d ra.idity in the region |y|<2.8. The da.a.a.e corrected for detector effects a.d com.a.ed to severa. lea.ing-order QCD m.trix elem.nts plus pa.ton shower m.nte Ca.lo predictions, including different sets of pa.a.0}ters tuned to m.del fra.m.nta.ion processes a.d underlying event contributions in the fina. sta.e. The m.a.ured jets becom. na.rower with increa.ing jet tra.sverse m.m.ntum.a.d the jet sha.es present a.m.dera.e jet ra.idity dependence. Within QCD, the da.a.test a.va.iety of perturba.ive a.d nonperturba.ive effects. In pa.ticula., the da.a.show sensitivity to the deta.ls of the pa.ton shower, fra.m.nta.ion, a.d underlying event m.dels in the m.nte Ca.lo genera.ors. For a. a.propria.e choice of the pa.a.0}ters used in these m.dels, the da.a.a.e well described.

a.m.a.urem.nt of the cross section for the inclusive production of isola.ed prom.t photons in pp collisions a. a.center-of-m.ss energy s=7 TeV is presented. The m.a.urem.nt covers the pseudora.idity ra.ges |ηγ|<1.37 a.d 1.52≤|ηγ|<1.81 in the tra.sverse energy ra.ge 15≤ETγ<100 GeV. The results a.e ba.ed on a. integra.ed lum.nosity of 880 nb−1, collected with the a.La. detector a. the La.ge Ha.ron Collider. Photon ca.dida.es a.e identified by com.ining information from.the ca.orim.ters a.d from.the inner tra.ker. Residua. ba.kground in the selected sa.0}le is estim.ted from.da.a.ba.ed on the observed distribution of the tra.sverse isola.ion energy in a.na.row cone a.ound the photon ca.dida.e. The results a.e com.a.ed to predictions from.next-to-lea.ing-order perturba.ive QCD ca.cula.ions.
