We report on the fabrication of a m.crostrip antenna with an ultra-thin Iron film.patch with thickness of approxim.tely 10 nm. The antenna showed excellent response in term. of perform.nce and reliability. In addition, the antenna dem.nstrated potential for ultra-wide band applications. Such antennas m.y therefore have significant prom.se for system.on-chip, space application, and other specialized applications. © 2010 IEEE.

Previous work on sem.ntics-based m.lti-state program.ing language design focused on hom.geneous and heterogeneous software designs. In hom.genous software design, the source and the target software program.ing languages are the sam.. In heterogeneous software design, they are different software languages. This paper proposes a practical m.ans to circuit design by providing specialized offshoring translations from.subsets of the source software program.ing language to subsets of the target hardware description language (HDL). This approach avoids m.nually writing codes for specifying the circuit of the given algorithm. To illustrate the proposed approach, we design and im.lem.nt a translation to a subset of Verilog suitable num.rical and logical com.utation. Through the translator, program.ers can specify abstract algorithm. in high level languages and autom.tically convert them.into circuit descriptions in low level languages. © 2010 Binary Inform.tion Press.

Paper m.p visualization is good value proposition, even in the `everything is digital' world, because of the huge inform.tion density and ease of use at any rem.te or m.bile location, especially in the m.litary context. Com.letely doing away with the paper m.p brings in a discom.ort factor for the m.litary user. In this paper, we present a paper m.p data visualization solution that augm.nts the inform.tion from.the digital world onto a spread of a paper m.p. Augm.nted Reality techniques are used to enhance paper m.ps digitally resulting in a 3D visualization space with som. interactions. The dynam.c inform.tion of the terrain, placing virtual objects and interaction are features of the digital world that are superim.osed onto a paper m.p. We have used ARToolkit m.rker tracking based approach and a see through Head m.unted Device for im.lem.ntation. The digital elevation data in VRm. form.t is split into sm.ller bits before rendering. The rendering is done after culling the relevant part of the terrain data and the sam. is popped up in stereo for enhanced visualization. The user can place virtual objects using m.rkers. The distance between m.rkers (user and reference) is calculated and is used for interactive features. The interaction options are load/select, slice/split and latch/freeze. We have achieved better perform.nce by loading only the region of interest and not the com.lete terrain. The paper also illustrates the basic hardware set-up required for im.lem.ntation.

To com.are the perform.nce of two speech coders, it is necessary to have som. indicator of the intelligibility and quality of the speech produced by each coder. The term.intelligibility usually refers to whether the output speech is easily understandable, while the term.quality is an indicator of how natural the speech sounds. It is possible for a coder to produce highly intelligible speech from.low quality, in that the speech m.y sound very m.chine-like and the speaker is not identifiable. On the other hand, it is unlikely that unintelligible speech would be called high quality, but there are situations in which perceptually pleasing speech does not have high intelligibility. In this paper the m.st com.on m.asures of speech enhancem.nt m.dels suited for speech recognition with specific em.hasis on wavelet based approach are presented.

In this paper, a Binary Neural Network Classifier (BNNC) is proposed in which hidden layer training is done in parallel. Learning Algorithm.for the BNNC is described, which is based on the principle of Fast Covering Learning Algorithm.(FCLA) proposed by Wang and Chaudhari [1]. The BNNC offers high degree of parallelism.in hidden layer form.tion. Each m.dule in the hidden layer of BNNC is exposed to the patterns of only one class. For achieving better accuracy, issue of overlapped classes are also handled. The m.thod is tested on few benchm.rk datasets, accuracies are within the acceptable range. Due to parallelism.at hidden layer level, training tim. is decreased, therefore, it can be used for volum.nous realistic database. An analytical form.lation is developed to evaluate the num.er of hidden layer neurons, it is in the O(log(N)), where N represents the num.er of inputs.

Now a days, m.re and m.re of social network data are being published in one way or other. So, preserving privacy in publishing social network data has becom. an im.ortant concern. With som. local knowledge about individuals in a social network, an adversary m.y attack the privacy of som. victim. easily. m.st of the work done so far towards privacy preservation can deal with relational data only. However, Bin Zhou and Jian Pei proposed a schem. for anonym.zation of social networks, which is an initiative in this direction and provides a partial solution to this problem. In fact, their algorithm.cannot handle the situations in which an adversary has knowledge about vertices in the second or higher hops of a vertex, in addition to its im.ediate neighbors. In this paper, we propose a m.dification to their algorithm.for the network anonym.zation which can handle such situations. In doing so, we use an algorithm.for graph isom.rphism.based on adjacency m.trix instead of their approach using DFS technique. m.re im.ortantly, the tim. com.lexity of our algorithm.is less than that of Zhou and Pei.

m.dical data often contains a large num.er of irrelevant and redundant features and a relatively sm.ll num.er of cases, which dram.tically im.act quality of diseases diagnosis. Hence, in quest for higher differentiation quality, feature selection is expected to im.rove differentiation perform.nce. In this paper, we describe a heuristic approach based on Rough Sets theory and inform.tion theory, for generation of a reduct approxim.tion of a m.dical dataset. The algorithm.consists of two phases: initializing starting point phase and heuristic search phase. The experim.ntal results on the m.dical datasets of UCI m.chine learning repository and traditional Chinese m.dicine datasets show that the proposed algorithm.can efficiently select critical features and im.rove the perform.nce of differentiation.

An Algorithm.is considered com.utationally secure if it can not be broken with standard resources, either current or future. In this paper we have introduced a new block cipher algorithm.nam.d X-m.DDES. It is unique independent approach which uses several com.utational steps along with string of operators and random.zed delim.ter selections by using som. suitable m.them.tical logic. X-m.DDES is specially designed to produce different cipher texts by applying sam. key on sam. plain text. Thus a new protocol has been designed to encrypt a given text, which allows a higher level security as com.are to m.DDES. The Algorithm.is successfully im.lem.nted on text file, corresponding digital im.ge file and audio file. Here we have also tried to highlight the perform.nce of som. well known data algorithm. like DES, Triple-DES, AES (Rijndael), m.DDES, and com.are them.with the X-m.DDES. Finally it has been proved that X-m.DDES is one of the best perform.ng partial sym.etric key algorithm.am.ng the above m.ntion algorithm. particularly for the text m.ssage with lim.ted size.
