Biom.tric devices provide secure m.chanism.towards gaining access. One of the Biom.tric features is Face and the system.im.lem.nted is Face Recognition system. The Classical Face Recognition System.is im.lem.nted with Principal Com.onent Analysis and is successful. PCA is a linear m.thod of extracting the features in a lower dim.nsion space and is severely affected by the Pose and surrounding illum.nation variation. To im.lem.nt effective face recognition system. pose variation is to be considered and the problem.is well addressed with Kernel PCA (nonlinear PCA). KPCA extracts features in a higher dim.nsion space, there by the system.is rugged to pose variation. The illum.nation variation is accounted for capture range of the front end device and its surrounding and is not dealt in KPCA. In this work Singular Value Decom.osition is used to deal with surrounding illum.nation and wavelets are em.loyed to aid the KPCA in capturing the m.lti Scale Features there by m.king the System.robust to pose and illum.nation variation. To show the perform.nce, the proposed m.thod is tested on YaleB, ORL Databases. The results obtained show the im.act of the m.thod and is com.ared with PCA, KPCA.

This paper analyzes the effect of driver size and num.er of shells on propagation delay for m.lti-Walled Carbon Nanotubes (m.CNT) interconnect at 22nm.technology node. An equivalent circuit m.del of m.CNT is used for estim.tion and analysis of propagation delay. The delay through m.CNT and Cu interconnects are com.ared for various driver sizes and num.er of m.CNT shells. The SPICE sim.lation results show that the m.CNT interconnect has lower propagation delay than Cu interconnects. The delay ratio of m.CNT to Cu decreases with increase in length for different driver size and num.er of m.CNT shells. However, the delay ratio increases with reduction in num.er of m.CNT shells. m.CNT is considered to be potential alternative to copper interconnects in future. m.CNT provides significant im.rovem.nt in propagation delay perform.nce over Copper for long (global) interconnects.

We discuss the optical properties of one-dim.nsional, ultrathin, sub-wavelength, m.tallic gratings under transverse-m.gnetic (Tm. excitation, with particular attention to the phenom.non of quenched transm.ssion, recently highlighted in several optical experim.nts. In particular, we consider a grating with thickness com.arable or less than the m.tal skin depth, showing how the geom.trical properties of the grating can dram.tically m.dify its transm.ssion properties, often in a counterintuitive way. We study the role played by short-range(SR)/long-range(LR) surface plasm.ns (SPs) and localized SP resonances, showing that quenched transm.ssion m.st be ascribed to localized resonance effects, while long-range and short-range SPs play only a m.rginal role in this anom.lous effect. As an exam.le, we show the transm.ssion (T) in the plane (λ, θ) for a silver grating of thickness d=10 nm. slit aperture a=200 nm. width of the m.tal in the elem.ntary cell b=120 nm.and period Λ=a+b=320 nm.

Second order statistical m.m.nt of the ordinary and extraordinary waves scattered by turbulent m.gnetized plasm. slab with electron density and m.gnetic field fluctuations is analytically calculated applying the perturbation m.thod. Num.rical calculations are carried out for the anisotropic Gaussian fluctuation spectrum.at different anisotropy factor and the angle of inclination of prolate irregularities with respect to the external m.gnetic field. Phase portraits of correlation function of the phase and am.litude fluctuations of scattered radiation are constructed. It is shown that correlation between ordinary and extraordinary wave decreases in proportion to the anisotropic factor.
