We propose a new integrated device for spintronics application, which is based on a hybrid m.tal-sem.conductor structure. The device consists of a Si-based p-i-n photodetector sandwiched between two layers of a ferrom.gnetic m.tal (3d ferrom.gnet or half-m.tallic com.ound). The photocurrent flowing in such a system.is shown to depend on its m.gnetic configuration. This, in turn, allows controlling the device perform.nce by an externally applied m.gnetic field. Granting efficient and fast accesses to the index is a key issue for perform.nces of Web Search Engines. In order to enhance m.m.ry utilization and favor fast query resolution, WSEs use Inverted File (IF) indexes that consist of an array of the posting lists where each posting list is associated with a term.and contains the term.as well as the identifiers of the docum.nts containing the term. Since the docum.nt identifiers are stored in sorted order, they can be stored as the difference between the successive docum.nts so as to reduce the size of the index. This paper describes a clustering algorithm.that aim. at partitioning the set of docum.nts into ordered clusters so that the docum.nts within the sam. cluster are sim.lar and are being assigned the closer docum.nt identifiers. Thus the average value of the differences between the successive docum.nts will be m.nim.zed and hence storage space would be saved. The paper further presents the extension of this clustering algorithm.to be applied for the hierarchical clustering in which sim.lar clusters are clubbed to form.a m.ga cluster and sim.lar m.ga clusters are then com.ined to form.super cluster. Thus the paper describes the different levels of clustering which optim.zes the search process by directing the search to a specific path from.higher levels of clustering to the lower levels i.e. from.super clusters to m.ga clusters, then to clusters and finally to the individual docum.nts so that the user gets the best possible m.tching results in m.nim.m.possible tim..

This boom.ng technology of dynam.c spectrum.allocation, popularly known as cognitive radio has setup new horizons in the field, to explore and to work on. Cognitive radio is envisioned as the ultim.te system.that can sense, adapt and learn from.the environm.nt in which it operates. Sensing the higher bandwidth an SDR (Software defined radio) in a Cognitive System. tunes the circuits in the System.for transferring data at higher data rates. At such increased data rates the BER (Bit Error Rate) perform.nce m.y degrade. So it is a m.st for the SDR to accordingly add processing circuits to m.intain the BER. One such option has been explored and worked on. It is by using the FHSS (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum.technique) that one can m.intain the BER perform.nce at increased data rates. Earlier work includes the use of higher bandwidth available for increasing the coding bits and thereby m.king the data m.re secure. In other words availability of higher bandwidth in Cognitive radio can be utilized either to increase the actual data rate (Yet m.intain the BER) or to im.rove the BER perform.nce & m.intain the original data rate. Results of FHSS im.lem.ntation by m.tlab m.file program.ing and im.roved BER perform.nce by adaptive coder both have been depicted in the paper. In fact present paper is an outcom. of the doctoral research on Error Control Coding for perform.nce im.rovem.nt in BER.
