Latham (lathamke@uindy.edu) is a Professor of Biology and Anthropology in the Shaheen College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Indianapolis. She obtained her Ph.D. and M.A. in anthropology from Temple University her M.S. in human biology from the University of Indianapolis and her B.S. in biology and chemistry from the University of North Texas. She is also the director of the University of Indianapolis Human Identification Center and a Board-Certified Forensic Anthropologist. Latham’s research interests include investigations of human genetic and skeletal variation forensic osteology forensic archeology and the sociopolitics of forensic science. b Isabel S. Melhado (melhadoi@uindy.edu) is a graduate student at the University of Indianapolis studying Human Biology with a concentration in forensic anthropology. She has a B.S. in Biology with a concentration in forensic science and a minor in anthropology from Northwestern State University of Louisiana. Her research interests include forensic and biological anthropology human identification human rights and ethics ancestry assessment from skeletal remains and forensic DNA analysis. c Olivia H.
