Unconventional spin-orbit torque (SOT) has garnered significant attention due to its potential for enabling energy-efficient and deterministic control of magnetization states. Noncollinear antiferromagnets (NCAFs) are considered ideal systems for generating such unconventional SOTs, making them highly promising for the development of next-generation spintronic devices. In this study, we report the generation of spin torques in noncollinear antiferromagnetic MnGe, revealing the presence of unconventional spin polarizations (specifically, - and -polarized spin currents) by employing the spin-torque ferromagnetic resonance (ST-FMR) technique. All-electric SOT switching was successfully demonstrated in a MnGe-based device with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA), with a critical current density of 4.2 × 10 A/cm. Furthermore, the device exhibits memristive behavior that effectively emulates the functionality of artificial synapses in convolutional neural networks (CNNs), achieving an accuracy of 92.5% in digital recognition tasks. These results are expected to pave the way toward next-generation fast and energy-efficient memory and neuromorphic computing.

Herein, a low-temperature thermal decomposition method is utilized to grow new stable tetragonal Fe3O4-based thick ferrite films. The tetragonal Fe3O4-based film possesses high saturation magnetization of similar to 800 emu/cm(3). Doping with approximately 10% Co results in a highenergy product of 40.9 MGOe with perpendicular magneto crystalline anisotropy, whereas doping with Ni increases electrical resistivity by a factor of 6 and retains excellent soft magnetic properties (high saturation magnetization and low coercivity). A combined experimental and first-principles study reveals that carbon interstitials (C-i(B)) and oxygen vacancies (V-O) form C-i(B)-V-O pairs which stabilize the tetragonal phase and enhance saturation magnetization. The magnetization enhancement is further attributed to local ferromagnetic coupling between Fe, and FeB induced by C-i(B)-V-O pairs in a tetragonal spinel ferrite lattice.

This paper is concerned with a stochastic HBV infection model with logistic growth. First, by constructing suitable stochastic Lyapunov functions, we establish sufficient conditions for the existence of ergodic stationary distribution of the solution to the HBV infection model. Then we obtain sufficient conditions for extinction of the disease. The stationary distribution shows that the disease can become persistent in vivo.

Herein, the authors explicitly reveal the dual-functions of N dopants in molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) catalyst through a combined experimental and first-principles approach. The authors achieve an economical, ecofriendly, and most efficient MoS2-based hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) catalyst of N-doped MoS2 nanosheets, exhibiting an onset overpotential of 35 mV, an overpotential of 121 mV at 100 mA cm-2 and a Tafel slope of 41 mV dec(-1). The dual-functions of N dopants are (1) activating the HER catalytic activity of MoS2 S-edge and (2) enhancing the conductivity of MoS2 basal plane to promote rapid charge transfer. Comprehensive electrochemical measurements prove that both the amount of active HER sites and the conductivity of N-doped MoS2 increase as a result of doping N. systematic first-principles calculations identify the active HER sites in N-doped MoS2 edges and also illustrate the conducting charges spreading over N-doped basal plane induced by strong Mo 3d-S 2p-N 2p hybridizations at Fermi level. The experimental and theoretical research on the efficient HER catalysis of N-doped MoS2 nanosheets possesses great potential for future sustainable hydrogen production via water electrolysis and will stimulate further development on nonmetal-doped MoS2 systems to bring about novel high-performance HER catalysts.

Users can either re-share messages posted by their friends or re-create messages based on the information acquired from other non-local information sources such as the mass media. By analyzing around 60 million messages from a large micro-blog site, we find that about 69 % of the diffusion volume can be attributed to users' re-sharing behaviors, and the remaining 31 % are caused by user re-creating behaviors. The information diffusions caused by the two kinds of behaviors have different characteristics and variation trends, but most existing models of information diffusion do not distinguish them. The recent availability of massive online social streams allows us to study the process of information diffusion in much finer detail. In this paper, we introduce a novel model to capture and simulate the process of information diffusion in the micro-blog platforms, which distinguishes users' re-sharing behaviors from re-creating behaviors by introducing two different components. Thus, our model not only considers the effect of the underlying network structure, but also the influence of other non-local information sources. The empirical results show the superiority of our proposed model in the fitting and prediction tasks of information diffusion.

Natural Convection in Triangular Attics Filled with Porous Medium Heated from Below

A finite volume analysis is performed to investigate the effects of uniform heating of the bottom wall on natural convection in an isosceles triangular attic space filled with saturated porous medium. The simulations are carried out over a wide range of parameters of Darcy number Da (106Da102), Rayleigh number Ra (101Ra108), and attic angle (10 degrees 45 degrees). Numerical results are presented in terms of stream functions, isotherms, velocity profiles, as well as local and average Nusselt numbers. The flow and heat transfer in the attic space are solely determined by the combined parameter DaRa when Da<104. The effects of Da and Ra have to be considered separately when Da>104. When DaRa is smaller than a certain value (approximate to 10), the heat transfer in the attic space is conduction-dominated and a simplified model is proposed to calculate the local and average Nusselt numbers. The analytical solutions agree well with the numerical simulations, especially when the attic angle is small. As DaRa increases, convection becomes relatively important. In this situation, conduction is still dominated near the left corner zone while convection becomes relatively important in the rest zone.

Extending attributes page:a scheme for enhancing the reliability of storage system metadata

In an object-based storage system,a novel scheme named EAP(extending attributes page) is presented to enhance the metadata reliability of the system by adding the user object file information attributes page for each user object and storing the file-related attributes of each user object in object-based storage *** EAP scheme requires no additional hardware equipments compared to a general method which uses backup metadata servers to improve the metadata *** a Markov chain,this paper compares the metadata reliability of the system using the EAP scheme with that using only metadata servers to offer the file metadata *** results demonstrate that the EAP scheme can dramatically enhance the reliability of storage system metadata.
