Existing methods for the registration of blurred images are efficient for the artificially blurred images or a planar registration. They are not suitable for image mosaic of the source images from a real camera with an almost fixed optical center. We propose a registration method so that a distortion-free registration on naturally captured images can be obtained. It adopts a multi-resolution and robust feature based inter-layer mosaic together. In each layer, Harris corner detector is chosen to effectively detect features and RANSAC is used to find reliable matches for further calibration as well as an initial homography as the initial motion of next layer. Simplex and subspace trust region methods are used consequently to estimate the stable focal length and rotation matrix through the transformation property of feature matches. Experimental results demonstrate the performance of our proposed method.

A 5-parameter bundle adjustment method is proposed in this paper for global mosaic of an image sequence. By decomposing the rotation matrix into a 3-parameter rotation axis and a rotation angle, to each image, there are 5 parameters that need estimate for rotation axis, rotation angle and focal length. The proposed method minimizes the distance between feature matches in 3D space so that these 5 parameters are refined gradually for final stitching of all images together. Experimental results suggest that this method is an useful extension to existing research with the advantages of real 3D camera motion, accurate 5-parameter rotation decomposition and reliable 3D feature definition.

To improve the accuracy and efficiency for solving the EFIE (electric field integral equation) by the method of moment, a novel scheme is put forward to improve the calculation precision based on the EFIE. Firstly, the inaccurate induced current is obtained by solving the EFIE under coarse mesh grids. Secondly, the scattered magnetic field at any given point on the surface of the object is calculated by the inaccurate induced current. Finally, the accurate induced current at any given point is determined through total magnetic field. The proposed approach is applied to the case of infinitely perfectly electric conducting circular cylinder and square cylinder. The numerical results are presented to demonstrate the high precision and efficiency when the size of mesh grid is large.

Scheduling is one of the most well-known problems in both modern service science and service operational management. On the basis of quantum swarm evolutionary method, a new technique, immune quantum swarm optimization (IQSO) approach is proposed by redefining the immune operators, vaccinating operator and immune selecting operator, which has a powerful global exploration capability and its applications with permutation flowshop scheduling. The experimental results obtained from the proposed method on some benchmark instances show that it is very promising, compared to genetic algorithms and swarm intelligence methods.

The different approaches used for target decomposition (TD) theory in radar polarimetry are reviewed and three main types of theorems are introduced: those based on Mueller matrix, those using an eigenvector analysis of the coherency matrix, and those employing coherent decomposition of the scattering matrix. Support vector machine (SVM), as a novel approach in pattern recognition, has demonstrated success in many fields. A new algorithm of target classification, by combining target decomposition and the support vector machine, is proposed. To conduct the experiment, the polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data are used. Experimental results show that it is feasible and efficient to target classification by applying target decomposition to extract scattering mechanisms, and the effects of kernel function and its parameters on the classification efficiency are significant.
