This paper proposed two strategies based on the active disturbance synchronous controller（ADRC） designed for the WECS based on the direct-driven PMSG, which maximize the power output by tacking the optimal tip-speed ratio in real time. Since the direct-driven PMSG is a nonlinear system with a large amount of uncertainties and rapid dynamic variations, it is difficult to execute the model-based control designs. Considering these characteristics of the system, a basic ADRC strategy is proposed, which has a good performance without a detailed mathematical model of the system. Furthermore, considering the large changes in system dynamics and disturbances may substantially degrade the performance of WECS, a model-compensation ADRC strategy is presented, which incorporate the available model information into an extended state observer（ESO） to compensate the lumped disturbance efficiently. Simulation results show that, compared with the traditional ADRC strategy, the proposed ADRC has a stronger robustness against uncertain dynamics and external disturbances.

Directly scheduled unit, as a kind of excellent frequency regulation resource, plays an important role in the control of China's interconnected power grid. First of all, based on the regional control model, the theory of the "closed area" of the direct-dispatching generators is demonstrated, and the mechanism of suppressing the regional control error(ACE) by this method is revealed. Then, based on Virtual Partition(VP), the tie-line bias control(TBC) method for hierarchical control structure is designed. This method enables the power of each tie-line to reach the rated value. Finally, the correctness and feasibility of the proposed method are verified by the standard IEEE 10-unit 39-bus system.

This paper proposes a block backstepping trajectories tracking control scheme for a class of unmanned helicopters. The control objective is to make the position and yaw angle trajectories of the helicopter track the desired position and yaw angle trajectories. In order to design the controller, the helicopter system is divided into three subsystems at first. Then based on the block backstepping technique, four control inputs which constitute the helicopter controller are designed step by step in three subsystems. The asymptotic stability of the closed-loop helicopter trajectories tracking error system is verified based on Lyapunov stability analysis. Finally, numerical simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed block backstepping control scheme.

This paper studies event-driven synchronization control problem for chaotic Lur'e system with cyber attack. Firstly, In order to save network bandwidth resources, the event-driven scheme is employed to determine whether the sampled state should be transmitted to the controller. Secondly, a synchronization error model is designed to describe the master-slave synchronization system with event-driven scheme and cyber attack. Thirdly, based on Lyapunov functional approach, sufficient conditions for stabilization are derived which can ensure synchronization of the master system and slave system;particularly, a co-designed approach of controller and the event-driven matrix is obtained using the above stability condition. Lastly, a numerical example is presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Abnormal driving behaviour is one of the leading cause of terrible traffic accidents endangering human life. Therefore, study on driving behaviour surveillance has become essential to traffic security and public management. In this paper, we conduct this promising research and employ a two stream CNN framework for video-based driving behaviour recognition, in which spatial stream CNN captures appearance information from still frames, whilst temporal stream CNN captures motion information with pre-computed optical flow displacement between a few adjacent video frames. We investigate different spatial-temporal fusion strategies to combine the intra frame static clues and inter frame dynamic clues for final behaviour recognition. So as to validate the effectiveness of the designed spatial-temporal deep learning based model, we create a simulated driving behaviour dataset, containing 1237 videos with 6 different driving behavior for recognition. Experiment result shows that our proposed method obtains noticeable performance improvements compared to the existing methods. Copyright © 2018, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The problem of exact regulation control for a class of disturbed higher-order nonlinear systems with unfixe single output and uncontrollable/unobservable linearisations is investigated in this paper.A general composite controller is proposed by integrating the homogeneous domination technique with an observation process of the unmatched *** a recursive design procedure and a delicate way of handling the non-vanishing nonlinearities,it is shown that unmatched disturbances in every channel can be compensated in a series of composite virtual controllers design while any state assigned as the system output can be regulated to exact tracking its desired value.A rigorous Lyapunov function based stability analysis and numerical simulations assure the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.

The passenger demand for urban rail transit is dynamic and different for working days, weekends, and holidays. Train timetables that adapt to different and dynamic passenger demand can improve the capacity and efficiency of urban rail transit and meet the needs of passengers. This paper first analyzes the characteristics of the passenger demand and then formulate a model with the objective to minimize the user cost and operating cost under constraints of train operations and the passenger boarding and alighting process. The proposed model is examined through a real-world case solved by an improved simulated annealing algorithm that adjusts train number, train running time, train dwell time, and departure and arrival times at each station. It then analyses characteristics of the train timetable under different passenger demand, such as train load factor in each section and remaining passenger number, which is useful to operational management in the subway system. © 2017 ASCE.

This work aims at evaluating the usability of remote sensing RGB imagery by an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle（UAV） in assessing wheat drought status. A UAV survey is conducted to collect high-resolution RGB imageries by using DJI S1000 for the experimental wheat fields of Gucheng town, Heibei Province, China. The soil moisture for different plots of the experimental filed is kept at an approximately constant level for the whole growing season in a well controlled environment, where field measurements are performed just after the UAV survey to obtain the soil water content for each plot. A machine learning based wheat drought assessment framework is proposed in this work. In the proposed framework, wheat pixels are first segmented from the soil background using the classical normalized excess green index（NEx G）. Rather than using pixel-wise classification,a pixel square of appropriate dimension is defined as the samples, based on which various features are extracted for the wheat pixels including statistical features and spectral index features. Different classification algorithms are experimented to identify a suitable one in terms of classification accuracy and computation time. It is discovered that Support Vector Machine with Gaussian kernel can obtain an accuracy over 90%, which demonstrates the usefulness of RGB imagery in wheat drought assessment.

This paper investigates the robust consensus for a class of uncertain linear multi-agent systems. In order to reduce the controller update frequency and the communication load of the network, a consensus algorithm based on event-triggered strategy is proposed and each triggering condition is established using measurement error of each *** the impacts of event-triggered strategy and external disturbances, the event-based sliding mode controller is introduced in this paper, which ensures the sliding-mode bands can be reached in finite time and the aim of robust consensus is achieved. Numerical simulation verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method.

This paper studies co-design of event generator and synchronous controller for chaotic neural networks with quantization. A quantized event-triggered scheme is presented to reduce the load of network transmission. Sufficient stabilization conditions for synchronization error system are derived on the basis of Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional. Based on the above stability condition, a co-designed parameters of controller and the corresponding event-triggered parameters are obtained. Finally, a numerical example is employed to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control method.
