MBBP features, which make up for the lack of LBP(Local Binary Patterns) features in robustness, is a kind of effective texture description *** Intersection Kernel Support Vector Machine has the advantage of fast classification and high accuracy in object recognition. It can be used for further enhancing the system's real-time performance. The experiments show that the proposed approach has higher precision than the classical algorithm HOG+Linear SVM and the HOGBP Features Fusion tested on the established benchmarking datasets—INRIA.

K-means clustering has been extremely popular in scene image classification. However, due to the random selection of initial cluster centers, the algorithm cannot always provide the most optimal results. In this paper, we develop a density-based k-means clustering. First, we calculate the density and distance for each feature vector. Then choose those features with high density and large distance as initial cluster centers. The remaining steps are the same with k-means. In order to evaluate our proposed algorithm, we have conducted several experiments on twoscene image datasets: Fifteen Scene Categories dataset and UIUC Sports Event dataset. The results show that our proposed method has good repeatability. Compared with the traditional k-means clustering, it can achieve higher classification accuracy when applied in multiclass scene image classification.

There is a growing interest in subspace learning techniques for face recognition. This paper proposes a novel face recognition method based on MPCA with Gabor tensor representation. Although the Gabor face representation has achieved great success in face recognition, the excessive dimension of the data space often brings the algorithms into the curse of dimensionality dilemma. In this paper, we propose a 3rd-order Gabor tensor representation derived from a complete response set of 40 Gabor filters. Then MPCA(Multi-linear Principal Component Analysis) is applied to each Gabor tensor to extract three discriminative *** dimension reduction is done in such a way that most useful information is retained. As a well-known combinatorial optimization problem, multiple traveling salesman problem (MTSP) fails to characterize some application problems where cities may have different accessibility for some but not necessarily all salesmen. This work proposes a colored traveling salesman problem (CTSP) in which a city has one to multiple colors allowing any salesman with the same color to visit. It presents a decomposition approach that converts CTSP into a combination of several individual traveling salesman problems (TSPs) and one MTSP for an important class of CTSP. To solve the transformed one, this work proposes a modified greedy algorithm allowing multi-colored city assignment during city search and adopts the formerly presented simulated annealing genetic algorithm. A dual-bridge waterjet cutting example is utilized to compare the presented decomposition approach and direct one. The results show that the former can achieve a better solution than the latter if the cities of same color(s) are clumped.

In this paper, the speed regulation problem for permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) systems under vector control framework is studied. A modified composite control strategy combining model reference adaptive control(MRAC)method and extended state observer(ESO) technology, called MRAC+ESO method, is proposed. controller is designed for the speed loop of the permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) to improve the performance of the system. The stability analysis, simulation and experimental results are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed control method.
