Collection of waste is one of the important goals of Waste Management Unit (WMU), where collecting waste decreases the amount of time, expenses, and the impact of waste collectors on the environment. The work is to create a set of routes for waste collection that will take minimal time to get through several collection centers given the capabilities of the collection vehicles, and road systems and traffic conditions. For waste collection points, ten major stations in Bengaluru were selected along with the disposal point. For this purpose, several algorithms such as Dijkstra's Algorithm, Bellman-Ford Algorithm, Floyd-Warshall Algorithm, Johnson's Algorithm, Nearest Neighbour Algorithm, and Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) were designed and evaluated. Algorithms were measured based on parameters such as the time taken, the fuel consumed, the CO2 produced, the effectiveness of the trip that was made. The theoretical and applied objectives of the project correlate with the goals of the integration of improved optimization possibilities with operational issues with the purpose of defining such effective methods in relation to the containment of fuel consumption, the decrease in emissions and the waste management optimization in the urban environment. © 2025 IEEE.

The rising interconnectivity of digital systems has brought about the challenges of network security as high risks of data theft and unauthorized access through intrusions in networks. This paper details the development of a Network Intrusion Detection System that uses deep learning techniques and is designed to detect normal as well as anomalous activities within the network, such as zero-Day vulnerabilities, as discussed has proven that this model was capable of obtaining excellent accuracy, up to 99.25%, with precision and recall metric being well achieved, owed to advanced techniques, in this case, hyperparameter tuning. This will mean the model's capability to clearly differentiate legitimate and malicious traffic. In addition, explainable AI techniques such as SHAP and LIME deliver insights into the contributions or importance of various features about a model's decision-making. © 2025 IEEE.

Improvements in aircraft detection are necessary to improve surveillance. This work investigates the exact detection and classification of airplanes using YOLOv8 in conjunction with Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) photos. SAR imaging performs well in dimly lit and unfavorable environments. The objective is to use YOLOv8's object detection to identify aircraft kinds and categories in SAR pictures. A variety of SAR datasets are gathered, preprocessed, and trained on the model to allow for a thorough assessment of YOLOv8's performance in differentiating between different types of aircraft. Measures that assess model performance across aircraft classes include mean average precision (mAP), recall, and loss. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of YOLOv8 and show promising results in terms of speed and precision. This work drives progress in aerial surveillance by highlighting the robustness of SAR when combined with cutting edge deep learning for aircraft taxonomy. The achieved 98.5% mean average precision (mAP) attests to exceptional performance in aircraft detection and categorization from SAR images, reinforcing the utility of this integrated approach in bolstering security systems. © 2024 IEEE.

The integration of IoT technology provides realtime, data-driven monitoring that reduces waste and maintains the quality of the food, changing the way food is preserved and managed. This research focuses on the development and implementation of an Arduino-based IoT device for monitoring freshness, temperature, and humidity in storage food environments. Equipped with an MQ-4 methane sensor and DHT11 sensor, the system detects spoilage indicators and environmental conditions and opens an exhaust fan if the moisture has been in excess. The BLYNK IoT app provides instant information to the user about storage conditions, thus ensuring efficient and proactive food management. This product finds answers to some of the main food-related storage challenges by offering scalable and effective solutions for enhanced freshness and reduced spoilage. © 2025 IEEE.

Parking management in urban areas faces significant challenges, including congestion, inefficient allocation, and unauthorized use of parking spaces. Building on a previous study that proposes a dynamic parking management system using a grid-based structure that categorizes parking spots as long-term or short-term, allowing for flexible and efficient allocation, this study focuses on optimizing and extending the system for greater efficiency. The system incorporates and compares four algorithms - Dijkstra's, Bellman-Ford, Content-Based Search (CBS), and Jump Point Search (JPS) - along with a novel Combined Search Algorithm, designed to optimize parking allocation and exit determination. The proposed Combined Search Algorithm demonstrated superior efficiency through comprehensive evaluation, reducing allocation and exit determination times by approximately 18% compared to Dijkstra's, 25% to Bellman- Ford, 20% to CBS, and 15% to JPS. These results highlight the approach's potential to significantly improve parking management by optimizing resource utilization, minimizing conflicts, and enhancing user experience. © 2025 IEEE.

The revolutionary impact of drones on delivery services encounters major challenges, such as collision with other obstacles and other drones when operating inside crowded areas. This research introduces a Collision Detection and Avoidance (CDA) algorithm which performs effective path identification together with altitude reservation to prevent mid-air collisions. The system improves operational safety together with generating effective delivery routes that deliver both operational safety and efficiency. The system optimizes resource allocation through its ability to arrange drones for the purpose of meeting delivery requirements without excessive congestion. Performance measurement facilitates continuous system improvement. The research implements Dijkstra, A∗ and Bellman Ford shortest path algorithms to the CDA system for evaluating their transport safety and productivity and resource utilization performance. The analysis checks appropriate drone usage in diverse drone applications. The system proves its capability in the incorporation of real-time data for improving drone operations that leads to effective resource use in challenging delivery settings. © 2025 IEEE.

In the rapidly evolving cryptocurrency markets, accurate price prediction is crucial for investors and traders. This task investigates the efficacy of advanced machine learning and deep learning for forecasting cryptocurrency prices. The proposed idea utilizes Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) models, Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi- LSTM) networks, Gated Recurrent Units (GRU), and Long Short-Term Memory networks improved with Self-Attention (LSTM-Self-Attention). Numerous studies were conducted using the historical data available. Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) were used to evaluate the models. The study tries to show the impact of outside factors such as economic data and market belief in purchase to improve the precision of the forecast. This research offers investors and policy makers insight that demonstrates the ability of sophisticated machine learning models to navigate the intricacies of cryptocurrency marketplaces. Incorporating these approaches into a single predictive framework enables accurate forecasting and the identification of anomalies in DeFi markets. The findings contribute to the decision making that is strategic DeFi investments, providing tools for better prediction and analysis, and laying the groundwork for future advancements in DeFi analytics. © 2025 IEEE.

In today’s digital landscape, securing sensitive information has become an essential priority in the modern digital era for both individuals and organizations. This project introduces a comprehensive web application that integrates advanced encryption and decryption functionalities alongside multifactor authentication (MFA) and secure payment processing. The application supports various cryptographic algorithms, including AES, DES, Triple DES, Blowfish, etc., allowing users to securely encrypt and decrypt data through dedicated routes accessed over secure HTTPS connections. To further enhance security, robust multifactor authentication mechanisms, such as OTP-based challenge-response and QR-code-enabled 2FA, have been implemented to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive operations. The platform also incorporates PGP encryption powered by Keybase, enabling users to securely exchange encrypted emails. Additionally, a secure payment gateway is integrated using Stripe, ensuring sensitive payment data is encrypted and handled safely. With a strong focus on data integrity, user privacy, and modern web security standards, this project delivers an all-encompassing solution for safeguarding sensitive information and facilitating secure communication. With sudden proliferation in evolving Deepfake technology to manipulate media content, identity theft etc., several modern deep learning based solutions are being continuously developed for Deepfake detection, distinguishing the manipulated media. Therefore, the work presented in this paper proposes a novel and real-time MobileNetV3 based Deepfake detection model. With the fine-tuning of MobileNetV3 using additional fully connected layers and self-attention mechanism placed optimally, the proposed model proved effective in concentrating on crucial image regions over relatively lesser important features. The integration of self-attention layers had a direct impact on the model’s capacity to identify the artifacts manipulated during the generation of Deepfakes, thereby, alleviating the detection efficiency. The work also implemented and trained five widely used and recent convolutional models including XceptionNet, InceptionV3, EfficientNetB0, MobileNetV3, and InceptionResNet for best baseline model selection and comparisons against the proposed approach. The proposed model outperformed all other state-of-art models by a margin of 3% with an F-score = 98.46%. The proposed model also has minimalistic memory and time requirements supporting the real-time applicability of the model even on mobile devices. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
