Telecare Medical Information System (TMIS) is a technology that has been on rise in the recent times with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. TMIS can be implemented in wireless body area networks (WBAN) in the form of devices worn by the patient and is convenient and time saving for both patients and doctors. The data that is generated is transferred through an insecure channel and thus, there is a need to protect confidential patient data. There is a necessity to provide secure authentication and access control to ensure only authorized users can access the data even in a device with limited storage and computational power. In this paper, Elliptic Curve Cryptography and the three-factor authentication method are combined to propose an enhanced protocol that is immune to the flaws in previously proposed ones. It uses a trusted party that helps in the registration process, ensuring that only authorized parties can read the data. A cloud-assisted TMIS is implemented by using the cloud as a storage medium and securing it, as well as the transfer of data. The Automated Validation of Internet Security Protocols and Applications (AVISPA) tool is used to validate the proposed protocol and prove its security. © 2024 IEEE.

VoIP, or voice over internet protocol, has gained popularity as a real-time communication technology because it is flexible and reasonably priced. However, maintaining a good level of quality of service over a variety of dynamic network conditions is necessary to guarantee a satisfactory user experience for VoIP applications. To optimize voice traffic delivery and guarantee a reliable and excellent communication experience, adaptive QoS dynamically modifies network parameters. This paper introduces the concept of Adaptive QoS, a proactive strategy leveraging Call Sequencing, Machine Learning Regression Analysis, and two pivotal algorithms-Silence Suppression and Adaptive Jitter. The Silence Suppression Algorithm efficiently manages silent periods, optimizing network resources, while the Adaptive Jitter Algorithm mitigates jitter impact for smoother voice transmission. Through comprehensive assessments of latency, jitter, bandwidth, packet loss, and network stability, approach dynamically adjusts network parameters. Results indicate that the Adaptive Jitter Buffer has a latency of 0.02 milliseconds, while Silence Suppression (CNG) exhibits a significantly lower latency of 0.001 milliseconds. In terms of jitter, the Adaptive Jitter Buffer introduces a jitter value of 0.0639375 milliseconds, whereas Silence Suppression achieves a much lower jitter of 0.001 milliseconds. These findings demonstrate that Silence Suppression outperforms the Adaptive Jitter Buffer in both latency and jitter, contributing to a smoother and more reliable real-time communication experience. © 2024 IEEE.

Voting on online platforms can cause many issues in the entire process. The choices given may not be great if they are recommended by the audience. The votes are displayed, sometimes with the names of the voters and with neither anonymity nor confidentiality kept in mind. The creation of a secure protocol for electronic voting is important for these reasons. The application of a homomorphic encryption system integrated into a e-voting software, where the voters can vote to which even choice they want and the vote is anonymously given and the admin will not know who gave the vote. The final tally will be displayed at the end of voting time and hence no live tracking is possible. The identity will be hidden for all, while the vote will be encrypted and sent to a tally server which aggregates them and finally decrypts the final results. This approach readily addresses challenges regarding security and transparency. © 2024 IEEE.

Sales forecasting is a useful tool used for estimating future demand and sales. It provides insightful information for strategic decision-making, resource allocation, and inventory control. This research aims to utilize various machine learning algorithms for constructing a robust sales forecasting model, with the help of the Machine Learning library in PySpark. PySpark is chosen for its scalability, parallel processing framework, and seamless integration with machine learning libraries, making it an ideal choice for handling large datasets. MLlib is a powerful machine learning library within PySpark, offering a comprehensive set of scalable and distributed algorithms that enable efficient processing and analysis of large datasets. The research also incorporates time-series analysis. The performance of the research is evaluated using evaluation metrics R-Square(R2) value Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) and Mean Squared Error (MSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE). Out of all experimented models, Gradient Boosting Regressor stands out as the best-performing model with R-squared value of 0.93, showcasing its effectiveness in accurate sales predictions. © 2024 IEEE.

In many countries lung cancer is acknowledged mostly as a deadly illness;it is recommended that the illness should be diagnosed early. Different medical Population Based information sources are employed in the analysis to make predictions of the related risk of lung cancer using different learning algorithms. DNN approach out performs CNN and many other approach because of the depth in the architecture of the deep neural network. All the features are preprocessed where the categorical variable is converted into numerical and then the data is prepared where necessary to enhance the model effectiveness. The dropout and L2 regularization incorporated into the DNN models reduce the overfitting and increase the model's generalization capacity. The metrics, accuracy, precision recalls, and F1-score which are utilized in the proposed model by to better other models' results with 98% accuracy. 54%. This study also reveals the feature of the deep learning models to fast diagnosis of the lung cancer meaning that the cancer patients would be given the right treatments. In this regard, multiple considerations on the basis of Advanced Deep Learning methods may reduce the global effects of lung cancer-related diseases. The future serious works will progress to the model by adding more clinical features and to examine the model with larger and more miscellaneous samples. © 2024 IEEE.

Toxic comments are pervasive on online platforms, which makes it difficult to maintain positive dialogue and create a secure online space. People’s emotions and overall state of mental health start to seriously decline as a result of those toxic remarks. In this study, we examine how optimizers affect the training of three well-known RNN architectures for the toxic comment categorization task: LSTM, Bi-LSTM, and GRU. According to our research, the model’s performance is greatly influenced by the optimizer used;the Bi-LSTM model, which was trained using the ADAM optimizer, showed the greatest test accuracy of 95.33%. Our results highlight the crucial role optimization techniques play in improving moderation systems’ effectiveness and advancing the creation of more potent mitigation strategies for online toxicity. ©2024 IEEE.

During their growth, tomatoes are impacted by several illnesses and pests. The most crucial step in effectively assisting vegetable farmers in increasing tomato yield is combating diseases by the precise and early identification of these problems. Utilizing deep learning for detecting objects saves time, effort and allows real-time judgment, thereby reducing the substantial losses in the yield. This study uses the Open-source dataset of Tomato Leaf Diseases under natural conditions and trains them with multiple YOLO models(YOLOv5, YOLOv7) for the characteristics of tomato diseases' images. Transfer learning is subsequently applied to augment the adaptability of these YOLO models, while the integration of a YOLO-YOLO cascaded ensembling technique enhances multiscale feature detection. This approach significantly elevates the accuracy of disease detection, effectively pinpointing both the location and classification of tomato leaf diseases. The prominent YOLO v5-v7 ensemble transfer learning model, when evaluated, exhibits noteworthy performance metrics during training. It achieves a mean average precision (mAP) of 98.8% at a detection threshold of 0.5 and a mAP of 98.7% at a more stringent threshold of 0.95. Additionally, the model demonstrates high precision at 95.8% and a strong recall rate of 96.8%. © 2024 Elsevier B.V.. All rights reserved.

Glaucoma, a degenerative eye condition causing irreversible vision loss, often goes undiagnosed until it is advanced due to its asymptomatic early stages. Timely intervention and the prevention of visual impairment depend heavily on early detection. The innovative use of deep learning methods, in particular convolutional neural networks (CNNs), to transform the early detection of glaucoma is examined in this research. Fundus scans of the retina can be used to identify distinctive morphological changes that are suggestive of glaucoma, especially in the Optic Nerve Head (ONH). This research attempts to create very precise and effective algorithms that can identify glaucoma in its early stages by utilizing insights from deep learning. These developments might revolutionize the diagnosis of glaucoma, allowing for early intervention and greatly enhancing patient outcomes in the fight against visual loss. © 2024 IEEE.

The Internet of Things (IoT) has brought unprecedented connectivity, transforming technology across industries. This interconnected landscape, however, presents unprecedented network security challenges. This paper examines Snort's role as a powerful tool for Intrusion Detection in the network and the ways to prevent the intrusion detection and thoroughly investigates the security challenges posed by IoT networks. In light of the growing number of connected devices, the study focuses on specific vulnerabilities, emphasizing issues such as resource constraints, diverse communication protocols, and the need for tailored security measures. The paper provides a thorough examination of Snort's architecture and its application through the development of custom rules for detecting IoT threats. Practical implementation strategies such as network segmentation and continuous monitoring are investigated. The conclusion emphasizes how critical it is to understand threats unique to the Internet of Things and how to use Snort to fortify network defenses in this complex and ever-changing ecosystem. © 2024 IEEE.
