This project addresses one of the primary causes of vehicle accidents: the sudden appearance of obstacles while driving. Drivers' varying response times often lead to accidents due to delayed braking or inability to stop in time. To mitigate this, an Autonomous Braking system is proposed, leveraging intelligent mechatronic technology. The system employs an Ultrasonic wave emitter at the front of the vehicle to emit Ultrasonic waves, coupled with a corresponding Ultrasonic receiver that detects reflected signals. By analyzing these signals, the system calculates the distance between the vehicle and any obstacles, enabling the microprocessor to adjust the vehicle's speed accordingly. In emergencies, the microcontroller activates the braking system to apply brakes swiftly and decisively, enhancing safety. A significant upgrade to the system is the integration of a Python-based application using Flask, which dynamically determines the incident's location and communicates with the nearest emergency services based on real-time geographical data. This is facilitated through GSM technology, which transmits alarm signals and the vehicle's GPS location to the appropriate authorities, ensuring prompt response and assistance. Additionally, the system's potential expansion includes inter-vehicle communication capabilities, allowing cars to share information about their locations and speeds, thus enhancing road cooperation and awareness. This not only leads to fewer collisions but also smoother traffic flow. The models used in this project, including the ultrasonic sensor and GPS modules, have demonstrated an accuracy rate of over 90% in obstacle detection and emergency alert transmission. Overall, the Autonomous Braking system aims to enhance road safety by reducing response times and stopping distances, thereby preventing accidents and significantly improving emergency response capabilities. © 2024 IEEE.

With the rapid growth of wireless medical sensor networks (WMSNs) based healthcare applications, protecting both the privacy and security from illegitimate users, are major concern issues since patient’s precise information is vital for the proper diagnosis procedure. So, authentication protocol is one of the efficient mechanisms to deal with trustworthy and authentic users. Several authentication protocols have been proposed in WMSNs environment. However, the most of these protocols are so susceptible to security threats and not suitable for practical use. In this article, recently proposed Amin et al.’s authentication scheme is reviewed and some vulnerabilities like off-line password guessing attack, user impersonation attack, known session-key temporary information attack, the revelation of secret parameters, and identity guessing attack are pointed out. To overcome all the above mentioned vulnerabilities, we have proposed an enhanced three-factor based remote user authentication protocol in WMSNs environment. Further, the proposed protocol is validated using Burrows–Abadi–Needham logic and then simulated using Automated Validation of Internet Security Protocols and Applications tool. Moreover, the security analysis ensures that the proposed protocol is well protected from various types of malicious attacks. Pediatric pneumonia is a significant cause of morbidity and mortality in children worldwide. Traditional methods for detecting the disease are time-consuming, thereby necessitating automated detection methods. Hence, the paper fine-tunes the light-weight NasNetMobile model architecture using multiple normalization approaches and six recent activation functions like Swish, HardSwish, Mish, etc. to enhance model performance and generalization in the efficient detection of pediatric pneumonia in children. The work also conducts a comparative analysis of six state-of-the-art model CNN model architectures to prove the efficacy of the proposed model. The outcomes show that fine-tuned NasNetMobile model using the Mish activation function, combined with batch normalization and dropout, outperforms other configurations with an F-score of 92%. © 2024 IEEE.

Developing a unique language for coding if and for loops involves using creatively designed markers such as 'ifff' and '4'. Meeting the three acceptance criteria requires coding loops using these markers, where 'ifff' signifies an if loop and '4' represents a for loop. Coding loops conventionally with '0' and '4' is considered unacceptable. Additionally, the language requires modifiers for loops and their respective lengths to be placed on one line. The language also encompasses formatting rules, such as combining multiple lowercase letters and ensuring that the letter 'c' appears three times for successful compilation. Repeated occurrence of certain letters is allowed and accepted within the language. Furthermore, specific responses like 'np' for 'no problem,' 'sry' for 'sorry,' and 'fq' for 'thank you' have been formulated based on input. © 2024 IEEE.

Global systems for mobile communications (GSM) Powered Gas Leakage Detection system aims to prevent gas leakages, especially from inflammable sources like LPG, which poses great risk. This presents a gas leakage detection system utilizing Arduino and Global systems for mobile communications (GSM) modem. Here, the system uses MQ-9 sensor to detect the gas leakage and triggers an alarm which is comprised of a buzzer and activates the safety measures like turning on the exhaust fan. And also, the Arduino UNO board initiates a GSM modem which sends Short Message Service (SMS) alerts to pre-specified mobile numbers, thus helps in prevention of dangerous situations. This approach helps to minimize potential gas leakage accidents, protecting lives and properties by ensuring quick response and proper precautionary measures. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper discusses creating a system that ranks search result using user-provided ratings and comments to improve the quality of search experiences. In this application, users can rate websites on a scale of 1 to 5 and leave comments that will be shown alongside each search result. The cumulative ratings determine the ranking of each website, with higher-rated websites appearing at the top. Only the top three comments are displayed, and they are randomized to ensure a diverse range of perspectives. Users can like or dislike a comment. Additionally, there is a dual feedback system that allows users to express their satisfaction or dissatisfaction with a website. This comprehensive feedback mechanism helps users make more informed choices and improve overall satisfaction by providing a better understanding of website quality. © 2024 IEEE.

Cyber-attacks are increasing day to day in this world of AI and Internet. A ML model to detect the network attack based on the network parameters is of great use. The proposed model uses a new and complete method to make intrusion detection in computer networks more accurate. Using PySpark's shared computing power, machine learning rules are put in the network data. It helps to make a strong first step of sorting things out. To optimize and streamline the feature space, two distinct techniques are employed sequentially;Chi-Square Selector for selecting important features and Principal Component Analysis to reduce features. These methods are used one after the other to improve how well machine learning models work. This makes them more accurate and flexible for finding unauthorized attacks on computer systems. It adds important value to the world of cybersecurity and Big Data analysis. From the experiments. The model which reported the best performance is Multi-Layer Perceptron with 0.993 accuracy. © 2024 IEEE.

The escalation of deforestation, particularly in the urban periphery, underscores the urgency for advanced frameworks in change detection. This research addresses this imperative by introducing a comprehensive solution for precise identification of deforestation and change detection in satellite imagery. Our proposed approach encompasses two key frameworks: one focused on change detection and the other on deforestation identification. A Modified U-Net for change detection, emphasizing pixel-wise alterations in satellite imagery. Simultaneously, a VGG Net model is employed to identify deforested areas, focusing on distinguishing relevant features. The Modified U-Net architecture leads with an exceptional 99.25% accuracy, excelling in detecting nuanced alterations, especially in urban landscapes. Integration of the VGG Net model further amplifies accuracy, achieving a commendable 91.87% in pinpointing deforested areas. This dual proficiency showcases our framework's adaptability, adeptly handling diverse environmental monitoring challenges. Emphasizing robustness and effectiveness, our framework emerges as a pivotal tool in remote sensing, making significant contributions to environmental conservation and land-use monitoring. © 2024 IEEE.

Detecting pedestrian intentions is crucial for safer interactions between autonomous driving and pedestrians. This study addresses this challenge by proposing an object detection model for autonomous driving using YOLOv8. Our model identifies pedestrians and categorizes their intentions as "waiting"or "crossing"based on bounding box analysis. Utilizing YOLOv8, the model recognizes pedestrians in real-time video streams and interprets their actions to determine their intentions. The model's performance is evaluated through metrics such as precision, recall, and F1 score, achieving high accuracy. This approach enables proactive decision-making based on pedestrian intentions, significantly enhancing autonomous driving and driver assistance system safety. The results highlight the model's potential to improve pedestrian safety in traffic, contribute to autonomous driving technology, and benefit connected vehicles. © 2024 IEEE.

The research delves into author profiling, aiming to identify writers' age groups and genders using extensive textual data. This involves utilizing BERT embeddings to understand sentence structure, word selection, and the overall tone of the writing. The primary goal is to employ supervised machine learning models to categorize authors based on age and gender, aiding marketers in tailoring campaigns for diverse demographics. As for text vectorization methods, BERT embeddings stand out for their ability to capture contextual information efficiently. The objective of this research is to develop a robust solution for author profiling. Additionally, techniques like TF-IDF is also considered effective for text representation, each offering unique advantages depending on the specific task and dataset characteristics. The outcome of this study strongly indicates that the AdaBoost with TF-IDF stands out as the most precise machine learning models for age group prediction with an F1 score of 0.58. The K-neighbours with TF-IDF is the best model for gender prediction with an F1 score of 0.58. © 2024 IEEE.
