A physical document that can be utilized to validate a person's identity is known as ID card, usually comes in standard size same as that of credit cards (3.370 inch height and 2.125 inch width).The machine readable identification information within ID card is the primary means of controlling individual access to everything starting from employee areas to special lounges. Transparency level of identification information within the document (ID card) varies from organization to organization. Some uses visible credentials like Barcodes and QR codes while others use RFIDs. Impersonation and the MFA- SYSTEM represents two distinct phases of the project. Former gives a clear-cut idea on how an impersonation attack is carried out by using methods in image processing, computer vision for extracting the visible features and decoding the information from the images or videos recorded using smartphones or surveillance cameras. SURF and SIFT are initially extracted, FLANN for feature mapping and Homography estimation using RANSAC algorithms. Latter one is making a multifactor authentication system that can improve the security of the ID card credentials. The proposed system in phase 1 can is able to successfully locate the position of barcodes and QR codes within the image and successfully decode information within the QR code, phase two helps to solve some of the challenges in authentication like shoulder surfing, securing data in MongoDB, accuracy during storing and retrieval from database etc © 2023 IEEE.

Deep Neural Network and GAN-Based Reversible Data Hiding in Encrypted Images: A Privacy-Preserving Approach

In light of recent incidents involving the leakage of private photographs of Hollywood celebrities from iCloud, the need for robust methods to safeguard image content has gained paramount importance. This paper addresses this concern by introducing a novel framework for reversible image editing (RIT) supported by reversible data hiding with encrypted images (RDH-EI) techniques. Unlike traditional approaches vulnerable to hacking, this framework ensures both efficient and secure data embedding while maintaining the original image’s privacy. The framework leverages two established methods: secret writing and knowledge activity. While secret writing is susceptible to hacking due to the complex nature of cipher languages, RDH-EI-supported RIT adopts a more secure approach. It replaces the linguistic content of the original image with the semantics of a different image, rendering the encrypted image visually indistinguishable from a plaintext image. This novel substitution prevents cloud servers from detecting encrypted data, enabling the adoption of reversible data hiding (RDH) methods designed for plaintext images. The proposed framework offers several distinct advantages. Firstly, it ensures the confidentiality of sensitive information by concealing the linguistic content of the original image. Secondly, it supports reversible image editing, enabling the restoration of the original image from the encrypted version without any loss of data. Lastly, the integration of RDH techniques designed for plaintext images empowers the cloud server to embed supplementary data while preserving image quality. Incorporating convolutional neural network (CNN) and generative adversarial network (GAN) models, the framework ensures accurate data extraction and high-quality image restoration. Effective ensemble learning approach for SST field prediction using attention-based PredRNN

Accurate prediction of sea surface temperature (SST) is extremely important for forecasting oceanic environmental events and for ocean studies. However, the existing SST prediction methods do not consider the seasonal periodicity and abnormal fluctuation characteristics of SST or the importance of historical SST data from different times;thus, these methods suffer from low prediction accuracy. To solve this problem, we comprehensively consider the effects of seasonal periodicity and abnormal fluctuation characteristics of SST data, as well as the influence of historical data in different periods, on prediction accuracy. We propose a novel ensemble learning approach that combines the Predictive Recurrent Neural Network(PredRNN) network and an attention mechanism for effective SST field prediction. In this approach, the XGBoost model is used to learn the long-period fluctuation law of SST and to extract seasonal periodic features from SST data. The exponential smoothing method is used to mitigate the impact of severely abnormal SST fluctuations and extract the a priori features of SST data. The outputs of the two aforementioned models and the original SST data are stacked and used as inputs for the next model, the PredRNN network. PredRNN is the most recently developed spatiotemporal deep learning network, which simulates both spatial and temporal representations and is capable of transferring memory across layers and time steps. Therefore, we used it to extract the spatiotemporal correlations of SST data and predict future SSTs. Finally, an attention mechanism is added to capture the importance of different historical SST data, weigh the output of each step of the PredRNN network, and improve the prediction accuracy. The experimental results on two ocean datasets confirm that the proposed approach achieves higher training efficiency and prediction accuracy than the existing SST field prediction approaches do.

Leukemia, a malignant disease characterized by the rapid proliferation of specific types of white blood cells (WBC), has prompted increased interest in leveraging automatic WBC classification system. This study presents the design of a robust WBC classification system, integrating deep learning with microscopic image analysis. The proposed classification model is designed to categorize blood cells into four distinct groups: eosinophil, lymphocyte, monocyte, and neutrophil. The study employs a Kaggle image dataset for comprehensive learning. The dataset comprises 12,500 microscopic images used to categorize the four blood cell groups. To enhance performance and reduce the likelihood of overfitting, transfer learning techniques are employed. Six deep transfer learning models namely VGG16, ResNet50, AlexNet, MobileNet, GoogLeNet, and EfficientNetBO are used for feature extraction and classification. The results of the experiments show that VGG16 and MobileNet demonstrated enhancements compared to other pre-trained models when evaluated on both augmented and original datasets. A diverse set of evaluation criteria was employed to thoroughly assess the effectiveness of medical image classification. Notably, the VGG16 and MobileNet models accurately predicted Lymphocytes and Monocytes with a 100% accuracy rate, and Eosinophil and Neutrophil with rates of 99.35% and 99.81%, respectively. This research work empower medical practitioners, particularly in the field of pathology and hematology by providing advanced tools for accurate blood cell classification. The proposed VGG16 and MobileNet models hold promise for simplifying WBC classification, improving decision-making processes, and ultimately advancing patient care in the medical domain. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Cyber security is dynamic as defenders often need to adapt their defense postures. The state-ofthe-art is that the adaptation of network defense is done manually(i.e., tedious and error-prone). The ideal solution is to automate adaptive network defense, which is however a difficult problem. As a first step towards automation, we propose investigating how to attain semi-automated adaptive network defense(SAND). We propose an approach extending the architecture of software-defined networking, which is centered on providing defenders with the capability to program the generation and deployment of dynamic defense rules enforced by network defense tools. We present the design and implementation of SAND, as well as the evaluation of the prototype implementation. Experimental results show that SAND can achieve agile and effective dynamic adaptations of defense rules(less than 15 ms on average for each operation), while only incurring a small performance overhead.

Parking congestion has become a major problem in today's metropolitan environments, resulting in lost time, higher emissions, and irritated drivers. There is a severe shortage of parking places in metropolitan areas because of the ever-growing number of the vehicles and the ever-growing urban population. This shortage has exacerbated traffic congestion and environmental pollution in addition to making it difficult and time-consuming to find a parking space. Conventional parking management systems are finding it harder and harder to handle these issues;they frequently depend on physical barriers or manual ticketing. Innovative approaches that incorporate automation and technology are becoming more prevalent to address this problem. Conventional parking management systems frequently depend on human intervention and physical infrastructure, which leads to inefficiencies and constrained scalability. In contrast, new opportunities for a more intelligent, effective, and user-friendly experience are made possible by the incorporation of deep learning methods and cutting-edge computer vision technology into parking management. This system makes use of two essential elements: automatically recognizing license plate numbers for vehicle identification and facial recognition technology for person identification. Through the smooth integration of these technologies, the system not only makes parking easier, but it also improves security and maximizes parking space usage. We will examine the essential elements, advantages, and possible effects of the Face and Number Plate-Based Smart Parking System in this survey. Healthcare, the smart grid, and supply chain management are some of the industries where IoT(Internet of Things) technology is improving. Also, it improves the way humans communicate with each other, the atmosphere, and the people around them. Internet of things achieves this by using wearable technology, embedded sensors, and automated systems. The number, types, and sizes of IoT devices are increasing. There are issues with security, authenticity, reliability, and scalability. Because of the expected growth in IoT, IoT systems must be reliable and maintainable. Blockchain has helped solve IoT network problems. Blockchain improves trust, immutability, transparency, and release of agricultural data collection, processing, and sharing. Blockchain and IOT will streamline precision farming and transform normal farms into the Internet of Smart Farms. This study describes the IoT systems have issues, and blockchain-based solutions are suggested. Additionally, it discusses current research on the degree to which blockchain technology and Internet of Things networks. IoT integration inside the blockchain issues are also covered. This article proposes to double connect IoT and blockchain using recent computing techniques. The IOT (Internet of Things) engulfs a widespread ecosystem made up of networks, processing technologies, and smart items. IoT is a popular platform that allows many of the objects in our environment to interact with one another via sensors and, most significantly, the internet, thereby rendering our lives easier. Today, users and attackers are paying close attention to anomaly detection on the Internet of Things. The development we are noticing is the outcome of enhanced sensor monitoring technologies. Gathering data is crucial for creating an estimate for analyzing unhealthy behavior. IoT networks are more accessible to cyberattacks, and the deployment of attacks within the network and user privacy are the primary concerns. Intrusion detection systems might be a smart plan to safeguard IoT networks from various threats. The following strategies were employed in this study to find anomalies: Decision Tree, Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU), and Logistical Classification. An assessment is made using the Accuracy, Precision, Recall, F1-Score, and Confusion Matrix. The UNSW-NB 15 dataset was used. Mobile devices and social networks provide communication opportunities among the young generation,which increases vulnerability and cybercrimes activities.A recent survey reports that cyberbullying and cyberstalking constitute a developing issue among *** paper focuses on cyberbullying detection in mobile phone text by retrieving with the help of an oxygen forensics *** describe the data collection using forensics technique and a corpus of suspicious activities like cyberbullying annotation from mobile phones and carry out a sequence of binary classification experiments to determine cyberbullying *** use forensics techniques,Machine Learning(ML),and Deep Learning(DL)algorithms to exploit suspicious patterns to help the forensics investigation where every evidence contributes to the *** on a real-time dataset reveal better results for the detection of cyberbullying *** Random Forest in ML approach produces 87%of accuracy without SMOTE technique,whereas the value of F1Score produces a good result with SMOTE *** LSTM has 92%of validation accuracy in the DL algorithm compared with Dense and BiLSTM algorithms.

Distributed and resilient machine learning (DRML) endues next-generation consumer electronics with AI function. Intuitively, AI provides innovative, humanized, convenient applications based on the data extended by next-generation consumer electronics. Cloud-edge computing is an ideal undertaken architecture of DRML due to its distributed property. However, as one of the core elements driving AI applications, data could be lost or corrupted owing to damaged electronics, unstable communication, and even cloud providers' malicious behavior. It is essential to ensure the data integrity of next-generation electronics before AI applications. To this end, we proposed a privacy-protection distributed data auditing scheme for cloud-edge DRML. An efficient data integrity verification method that only uses algebraic operation is constructed. Then, Function Secret Share (FSS) extends the data integrity verification method to protect consumer privacy. Besides, a consensus for data auditing results is designed among the edge servers. Finally, we present an abundance of theoretical analyses and experimental findings to substantiate and validate the efficiency and effectiveness of our proposed scheme. © 1975-2011 IEEE.
